Whoa Nelley, two for one and both done. I was just about to sign off the computer when my phone dropped a notification that you posted a video. LOL. As many know, I had an '82 Toronado (but not a convertible). The tag on both cars is under that cowl cover that covers the wipers. It's in a bad spot and probably by now, virtually unreadable with all that debris and wear. Those covers allowed for a lot of junk to accumulate in there and it was tough to clean out without removing that entire panel. I could have figured out the entire VIN on both cars, except for the check digits if you didn't get the VIN, but you did and we win. You've got a typo in your title. It says "Oldsmobile Toronado Concert", and I think you mean "convertible". LOL. I found a Google Map image of the Toronado convertible from both 2019 and early 2024 and it was under a partially covered carport at a Florida address (although the paperwork you found states Colorado, so maybe the owner retired there). It was rough in early 2024 and it was equally as rough in 2019. It appears to have been sitting for a very long time. It resided about eight minutes away from the yard it sits at now, so I'm going to guess either the owner tired of it, wound up with it, or just gave up on it. Car #1, 1984 Eldorado with the VIN for the win: 1G6 for US made Cadillac, A for manual seat belts, L for Eldorado, 57 for two door, 8 for 4.1L (252 CID) V8 with DFI, aka RPO code "LT8" aka "Highly Troublesome (HT4100)", aka "1-2 punch out to lunch", 0 is a check digit, E for the 1984 model year, E for Linden, NJ assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Linden plant closed in 2005 and last assembled the S,T Series trucks. My grandfather's friend, Mr. Alfred "Al" Bilotti worked there for decades. We got the SPID, glad you did: AG2 for multi adjustable passenger seat, power, AM6 for front split bench seat with armrest, three passenger, AR6 for front restraint system, B34 and B35 for front and rear carpeted floor mats, B36 for luggage compartment mat, B84 for bodyside molding, B93 for ornamentation for door edge guard molding, B96 for bright wheel well moldings, C04 for padded vinyl top, rear half, C49 for rear window defogger, C68 for automatic temperature control, C93 for opera lamps, C97 for courtesy lamps, illuminated entry, DC2 for interior mirror with dual reading lamps, D64 for illuminated RH vanity mirror, D74 for LH illuminated vanity mirror, D98 for rear and deck tape stripe, FK2 for LH adjust torsion bar, F57 for 3.15:1 final drive ratio, K19 for Air Injection Reactor system, K34 for cruise control, LIN for Linden, NJ assembly, LT8 for 4.1L V8 with DFI, MX0 for automatic transmission merchandising option, M57 for THM325-4L four speed automatic overdrive transmission, NA5 for Federal emission, N81 for full size spare tire, N37 for tilt and telescoping steering column, QJW is a tire code, T82 for automatic on/off headlamp control, UU6 for AM-FM stereo cassette with ETR and equalizer, U75 for chrome power antenna, VK3 for front license plate bracket, V40 for power adjustable seating, V73 for US/Canada vehicle statement, YL1 for leather and vinyl upholstery, YR1 for custom front seat, YS1 for custom rear seat, 42L and 42U for Light Grayfern lower and upper exterior paint, and all of the "42" codes refer to the same color interior trim, the "48" codes refer to Dark Grayfern vinyl top (48T), and other trim, seat belts and secondary trim, among other codes. Car #2, 1982 Toronado with the VIN for the win: 1G3 for US made Oldsmobile, A for manual seat belts, Z for Toronado, 57 for two door, Y for 5.0L (307 CID) V8 with four barrel, aka RPO code "LV2", aka "Mini Pocket Rocket", aka "Silent and Smooth", Oldsmobile produced (although considered corporate by 1982), 6 is a check digit, C for the 1982 model year, E for Linden, NJ assembly and the rest is the production sequence. This also has the M57 transmission, 1979-1981 have a three speed. This is a H&E converted convertible; it was done outside of Linden. Exterior paint is code 11 White. Both the 1982 I had and the 1979 parts car I had were both code 11 White like this one. Whoa Nelley, LT8 was never great. That's it, time to quit. E body looking very shoddy. Going to be flat and that's that. M57 is going to Heaven. "I knew I'd regret it, I've been burned before" (Chain Lightnin'/38 Special/Special Forces/1982/Barnes/Van Zant/Peterik), and restoring either of these would be a chore. Please don't get squished because all of the E body faithful, many here, and the Google Man indeed are going to be pissed.
I was talking about opera lamps today. I had two vehicles that had them. One was a 78 Cordova, and the other was kinda like an opera lamp an 86 XR 7 Cougar that the cougars light up.
@@garymckee63 I just got a new phone recently and changed carriers, so Friday was spend getting everything lined up and porting over my original number to the new phone.

On the white car i gotta clear something up here did you say that had a 5.0 in it a 5.0 is a 305 in chevy terms there benny if its a 307 that would be like a 5.2 liter i know its an olds engine dont know why its listed as a 5.0 maybe someone changed the rad shrould..??and benny what kinda phone is that is that Motorola no wonder its still going good phone that what i use too..
Read the emissions label. It says 5.0 liter. The 307 Oldsmobile V8 is considered a 5.0L engine, not a 5.2L (like a Chrysler 318 CID). You couldn't get a 305 Chevrolet engine in one of these, only a 307 Oldsmobile V8 in 1982 (as far as gasoline V8 engines go for that year). The shroud is the original, and code "OG" on the emission label is for a Federal emission Oldsmobile 307 V8 in 1982. My 1982 Toronado had the same label.
@@robertvance1873 Complete crap. The best thing that GM did was dump that engine. Underpowered, troublesome and a disaster. Really a black mark for Cadillac and ruined them in the 1980s.
I had a 1984 Olds Tornado that was a special addition and in black. I loved that car wished I still had it. Another great video Benny!
That was a nice ride wen it was new 🇺🇲
A convertible Tornado? That's got to be pretty rare.
It is. They were aftermarket conversions technically.

@googleusergp and you had a tornado wow where's it at now I've never rode in one those I heard they didn't ride to bad..
Never understood why people would put a fake chrome RR-like grille on cars like these. Too much bling and made them look trashy.
That was the 1980s style then.
Horrible Trash 4100. Even tho you said "TH" like you did in another recent vid 😜
The 1984 models were "better" than the 1982-1983 models, but not by much.
Not all HT4100 's were junk
