I picked up a group of 7 Brasiliensis from my lfs 2 days ago. I’ve had my eyes on them around 4 months since they first came in but didn’t have the space for them (also my mom doesn’t really like them). But recently setup my 120 gallon 5ft bow front tank again and couldn’t pass on them when I saw them the other day. The smallest 2 are no bigger then 1.25 inch whereas the 2 biggest ones are 2.5 inches i would guess. They have so much personality among them and their colours are coming out nicely. I can’t wait to see how they look when they get growing
@@CichlidBros I just saw your guys video on the threadfin acara. Do you think one of them could fit in with a group of Brasiliensis or would they be too aggressive?
Picked up one today. Juvenile though, about 1.5inch. Kinda worried after finding out they are more aggressive. Plan to put it in my 210G with an Oscar, Severums, EBA, chocolate cichlid, and Tapajós.
Oh man i don't plan to keep those fishes in the future but i always watch every video that goes out from this channel, plus it's always good to improve my knowledge in this hobby, I want to suggest something: since i think that people all over the world watch your channel why don't you add to the gallons and farenheits also celsius and liters? I have to calculate everytime 😂
I have one with my other Geophagus and south American cichlids. I noticed a few weeks after I bought him he has a mouth deformity which while unfortunate guarantees he can't fight. But he still sifts sand and eats normally. I have called him "the godfather"

Strong Green Terror vibes. Really like it. I have a pair of Geo Red Humps. Awesome fish in my community tank

Haha I can try to add that next time. Thanks for watching
I love them, such a Gorgeous Fish….they do tend to get aggressive though and it’s why they aren’t in any of my tanks….
Haha fair enough! I might get them again soon
Geophagus has to be my absolute favorite cichlid
