After watching The Crown ,I couldn’t make myself interested in watching anything else,a masterpiece is the right word for it ! Claire Foy is just magnificent in it .
Masterpiece from start to finish , an incredible emotional experience that made this Irish man cry , even though my grandfather was a British war hero, it reminded of my roots and gave me a more positive look on The British Monarchy, season 6 could have had 2 more episodes, but I appreciated every single second of this masterpiece, thank you Peter Morgan and cast!!
All the people sitting around this table are impressive, as are the people that the actors were portraying, but in particular isn't John Lithgow wonderful? It's clear that he just immersed himself in not only Churchill, but the other "characters", actors, the history and story, but not in an intense, stressful method way. It seems like he just enjoyed the whole experience.
I think we can witness some of his misogyny in this very video, even if Claire Foy is demure and self-effacing. He simply doesn't treat her like he treats the other men in the room.
The scene they keep secretly referring to is when the queen calls chrchill and reprimands him. And in that moment he realizes that she has acquired her place as the Monarch
from 3:05 Am i the only one noticing? He introduced Smith first instead of introducing the actress FOY that plays the TITLE CHARACTER, and Matt is aware of that and look at his reaction! That interviewer... He had One job... 😑
I love watching The Crown, especially the dry wit of “Tommy”. I think he steals any scene he’s in. I didn’t want him to “retire”. On the other hand, why did they pick the actor they did to portray Peter Townsend? He’s supposed to be a dashing soldier…..
@iandsk7421......Claire is naturally a brunette. I think this was when she was blonde after, or during, filming of the movie "Breathe" with Andrew Garfield, in 2017.....Matt is also naturally a brunette, but Prince Phillip was a blonde.

Indeed!
When Claire Foy hosted Saturday Night Live, I got to be extra in one of the sketches! Quickly told she was amazing on The Crown!

I love the line “the Crown always makes it to the right head”. It did!
that's fucking idiotic.
Not with the current one. The asshole
Not anymore
Claire Foy is an acting genius 🎉

He is incredibly good - speaks volumes with his face - even looks like Churchills statue in London
"long live queen elizabeth" .. Yes, she did 😀
I really miss the Charlie Rose show. I always learned something when I watched.
But he was a bit of a horse's ass, right?
@@janm2473 Yes. But always had great guests.
Right! Of all the fallen I miss him the most, even more than Kevin Spacey .

I’ve watch the crown twice and I’ll watch it again.
I was always wondering if they filmed in the actual Buckingham palace??
Aww Matt is so shy here
He felt the real pressure on the job at that table... he was so nervous around the "bosses"
'He becomes prime minister too old at age 75', mean while in the USA, 2024.
They're a beautiful couple
Omg Barney Stinson’s Dad is Winston Churchill??? I didn’t realise it until now!! He totally nailed his role as Churchill!!
I didnt hear much of the actors🤣 the questions were asked to the actors, peter answers🤣

15:10 Morgan called it a few years ago.
Enjoying immensely in 2022
This must have been one of the last interviews Charlie did.
That was my first thought!
Thank god there is a monarchy. All the anti-monarchists would be scrambling to get to the throne given half a chance 🇬🇧✨
John L states Churchill became Prime Minister "way too old at 75" And our president is 79...and Lithgow at the time of this interview was over 70.
Well it wasn’t just that he was 75 but his health was going down fast
🎉the crown season 7 should be foucsed on a brand new monarch 🎉
Each video usually shows the *** original *** date it was filmed/aired. This Charlie Rose episode does not. He was well fired before 2020.

360p?
Is this before Charlie was canceled?
this is the y guy that bangs the table a lot
The best were canceled bc of stupid allegations of revengeful nobodies . There is no worthy replacement for Charley Rose . Miss his witty interviews
I miss Charlie.
She is Blonde and he has Brown hair... Curious
😂

An actress 😂
