- In this video, Paul from Rapids Wholesale takes apart a Perlick (Perl) Forward Sealing Faucet (Series 600 Perlick Beer Faucet) to go over the parts, washers, and gaskets that you will want to check and clean regularly. He does speak briefly of the advantages of a forward sealing faucet over a standard beer faucet with a shaft.
Perlick beer faucets, forward sealing faucets and parts are all available for purchase at rapidswholesal...
Thank you. This is the only video that talks about the forward sealing O-Ring!
Thanks for the video Paul. How do you remove and the replace the forward sealing O ring?
Hey Paul, I have a 680SS creamer draft faucet. I can sneak the bearing cup off but am unable to remove the lever handle. Is the disassembly and gaskets the same for the 680SS model as the ones listed in this video? or should I be looking at a different video and parts list?
I wanted to see the magnets that are inside these things
After disassembling my Perlick 630SS, it seems that tje compression bonnet takes a different gasket than the 9P206. It is an L-shaped gasket. The 9P206 is flat.
Also after using my new gaskets, the forward sealing gasket doesn't seem quite OEM. I don't get a full seal with the faucet closed. There is a slow leak. If I open and close the faucet a 2nd time, it seals.
That's bizarre, I wonder if there is any needed for these to "break in" so to speak..? Let me know if this persists. We might need to send you a new set. -Paul
@@Rapidswholesale I may have over tightened everything. I wound up purchasing the gaskets from somewhere else to compare. I have to do so with the other faucet but I won't replace them. I'll disassemble and clean and tighten correctly and try that. Thanks for the reply!
Is that front gasket as hard to change as it looks? (the orange one)
Is that a bottle opener ring on your right hand?
Not too bad to swap those, and why yes that is a bottle opener ring ;) Cheers! - Rapids Crew
It would be nice if you gave the actual numbers for the O-rings instead of your stock numbers.
Lack of information makes the video nearly useless.
Thank you for your feedback, Bob. Which numbers are you referring to? MPNs? -Paul
