I haven't yet updated the consoles I have at the church (2), as I believe it is necessary to update the license, as ours expired in April 2023, but I was eager to do so, haha.
Yeah if you don't have an up to date license you probably shouldn't update anything. There are a few new nice features but nothing life changing. So if your system works, don't touch anything :)
I’ve done a couple of smaller shows with it now cos I was keen to try out the new Mix Mirror app. (It’s actually amazing!) Didn’t notice any issues, and nice improvement to the talkback section too. (I didn’t check the CPU usage though, so thankfully there weren’t any issues.) Didnt notice any other major changes other than that.
Good for you, and thanks a lot for sharing your experience. I actually experience more issues right now with errors. I have like 40.000 errors per hour so something is up. Luckily I have 10 days to fix this befor going on tour.
@@ledgersolutionsuk Yes I've been in contact with Waves and have a solution for rolling back. Hope it's not needed though. Switching back and forth between "DSP Optimized" & "Latency optimized" a few times might have solved it. Not any more errors for the last 2 hours at least.
@@Nathan007bond That's the question, isn't it :) I had errors between every unit in the network. Switching back and forth between "DSP Optimized" & "Latency optimized" a few times might have solved it though. Right now it works absolutely perfect. And with a few restarts the Mix mirror works as well.
Hi Joe, I work all in a MAC environment and I haven't had any problems with the update, could it be a Windows thing? I don't know. Thanks for your videos!
Well it wouldn't be the first time there was "a Windows thing" :) Waves support told me to switch back and forth between "DSP Optimized" & "Latency optimized" a few times and that might have solved it. At least for now.
Joe, thank you for the clarity. Well done.
Great content! Keep your good work Joe... cheers
Thanks man :)

There’s some Swedish wisdom for you.

Is it possible to roll updates back?
Where are the errors occurring from?
