I see way too many points of failure for many churches. You could realistically buy 2 x32s and 2 laptops for a little over half the cost of this rig and have a backup. I mean, monitors fail all the time and if you lose one piece of the network, all is down. The rig is awesome, but it just seems dangerous to rely on for a week in week out application at this point. I do think this will be the future though. (Giant 50”-60” Touch screen with a laptop to run plug ins and an io system)
False. The Latency inducted by plugins is non-dependant of frequency. Meaning that if the plugins add 2ms of delay, the entire audio feed will be delayed, and will not impact the PA alignment. And by the way, the latency inducted in LV1 is smaller than most of digital mixers
abMusic76 Got the honor of tuning a Meyer system with Bob McCarthy and we noticed that if you have any plugin inserted on a send, even without it on, that it will have latency from the input to the output.
You're half-right. we use Waves tune live, but it won't help people more than +/-50 cents out of tune. But more importantly, I do auditions and provide resources to improve on vocal skills if people aren't there yet. search our channel for the live pitch correction video.

That's not connected to the LV1, though it could be. It's for the Mac Mini to run spotify, recording control of Tracks Live, recording control of backup recording, and quick links to the stage plots, PCO live, etc.
Do you use Companion to unlock more functionality on the StreamDeck? I recently added one to our setup and I'm looking for ways to utilize it more. I'd love to get it to control our dmx lights through lightKey and Spotify as well.
@@devonrdlee I do use Companion - Last I checked there's only deep control of Spotify when using a PC, but I created my own hotkeys for play/pause of spotify, and mapped those hotkeys to streamdeck on my mac mini.
what monitor (IEM) system are you using?
I'm using an X32 for mixing IEMs, though supposedly in December a native Waves monitoring app is coming out!
Name of your church
Do you know how much roughly a full setup like this cost?
32 channel $6,835 without the touch screens which cost $299 for Dell P2418HT 24"
Ñame of the church?
jake u have a cost in general for this set up
the cost depends of your own necessities and setup
i'll stick with my yamaha TF5 board. physical faders are to nice in my opinion. but its crazy to see whats coming out these days
You can use physical faders with these. Like the Tactus surface, the Icon Platform X or really any MIDI fader controller. You can even case it all up and integrate it if you want.
That chest hair tho… 😂
This is like Raven
wow, free waves account after purchasing for 100000 bucks !
Just remember, plugins add latency, which can throw off a PA that is time-aligned. Milliseconds matter in more than a Left/Right setup.
False. The Latency inducted by plugins is non-dependant of frequency. Meaning that if the plugins add 2ms of delay, the entire audio feed will be delayed, and will not impact the PA alignment. And by the way, the latency inducted in LV1 is smaller than most of digital mixers
abMusic76 Got the honor of tuning a Meyer system with Bob McCarthy and we noticed that if you have any plugin inserted on a send, even without it on, that it will have latency from the input to the output.
inexperienced volunteer: a slave! LOL
All that investment and plug-ins can't get round the lead vocalist being out of tune, sadly...
Alec Spence Their should be a plug-in for that. I’ve seen it on the same console
You're half-right. we use Waves tune live, but it won't help people more than +/-50 cents out of tune. But more importantly, I do auditions and provide resources to improve on vocal skills if people aren't there yet. search our channel for the live pitch correction video.
They're probably in the wrong ministry if they can't sing in pitch.
For the love of god just buy a real console
