This song specifically is a letter to the drummer's brother, who died in 2016 and was the founding guitarist. The video and song contain a lot of symbolism, and the light in the sky is intended to be him I believe, or his soul per se.

Please listen to "Gone with the Wind" from "All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us". Beautifully poignant. Written by the lead guitarist/song writer, Tom Searle (like most other tracks), who had terminal cancer and sadly passed away not long after. A lyrical and musical masterpiece. Heart wrenching stuff. RIP Tom Searle.

This was the first song they released after the main song writer/guitarist Tom Searle died from cancer. The guy meditating is his twin brother Dan who is also the drummer in the band.
Memento Mori would be a great song for you to dissect, it's the last song on the final album written by Tom who was very much aware of his own mortality and the inevitability of death. #AWWWRIGHT!!
Another awesome reaction! I thoroughly enjoyed the breakdown of this song and it's gotta be one of my favorites by them. If/When you get back around to Coheed and Cambria, please check out their song The Suffering!

    This is fun.
They did a Piano version of this song. It would be cool to hear you break that down and talk about they differences and similarities.

I love good lyrics, but the overall of sound of a song is what draws me in at first. Then I'll start paying attention to the different bits, and I go through several phases of loving the same song for different aspects of it. First, I just love the song. Later, I'll love it for the drum work, then it's the intricate guitar bits that keep me coming back, then the vocals, the bass, the lyrics. Hell, it might be something very simple, like a bass slide, or a particular scream, that has me loving it.

After asking for Architects for weeks, I’m sooo glad you enjoyed it as much as you did.
You’ve got to check out some of the new album that came out last month as it’s moved on even more since this song!
Maybe try ‘Goliath’ (which has Biffy Clyro’s singer - if you know them - on it), or ‘Libertine’. #Alriggghhhtttt

Definitely check out more architects, anything from albums "All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us" and "Lost Forever // Lost Together" is phenomenal but even their other albums have tracks worth reacting/reviewing

Great choice! And to answer your question, their bass player also does the keyboards and drum pads. All these guys are awesome and some of the best at this type of music. New album just came out, if you decide to check out more Architects.

Another fun story about this song is that when they released this song back in 2017, they said it was a standalone single and wouldn't be on the next album, Holy Hell. When I bought the album, because it's amazing, I was going to sleep. Now, they didn't put a tracklist on the back of the CD, so when I heard this song on there, I was sat right up in bed with joy :)

Oh no....they gave you the Architects. I gotta see this. They are in my library, on the edge of the heavy shelf. Their hooks really stick in head for awhile, their whole compositions make my mind melt at times trying to make sense of it...like Tool or other prog stuff.
For me, It's usually jazz, 70's/ early 80's classic rock or 90's alt rock...Deftones and radiohead (how I found you...and sub'd) keep the vids coming, I look forward to every one of them no matter the material.

Aloha! Loved this one. Sam is one of my favorite metal vocalists from a tonal point. There's so much energy and emotion in their stuff. As I've seen others mentioned, They did a studio version of Animals recently and it's killer. Might be able to hop on that algorithm train too. #awwwright!
