I feel like the keyboardist was totally following along with notes on the laptop, then came to a part that said "keyboard solo" and went "wait, that's me!" and just started jamming like that was always the plan. 😂 Crushed it, dude. Loved the performance from him and everyone.
At first I thought "oh the travesty! Sam wasn't there!" but how could I have been so mistaken?! The head is right there bopping behind the crash! And he's got some hair this time around!
@@weswill5 ehhhhh it's a matter of taste lol. I'm not a fan of some of Knower's earlier electro stuff, but you're right that Zappa has a some tough to listen to stuff in his VAST catalogue.
I can see that to an extent, but I am reminded of Scritti Politti on certain songs when listening to the drum / bass / keyboard interaction, not to mention the pop sensibility in certain cases.
@@Percopius Wooooah wait... what is Scritti Politti? I think I need to check this out!! But yea the pop sensibility mixed with Zappa-ish stuff just blows my mind from Louis Cole.
@@tiluriso I don't like Pop music that uses Jazz elements. That's what this trash is. I hate that stuff. Kids that couldn't make it to Jazz school usually play stuff like this.
@@tiluriso Why should I tell you about great music? That's my privilege. I hate how social media introduces all this stuff to unworthy people. You deserve Pop music. Nothing more.

PS: You are wrong about Louis, Sam and Genevieve all have degrees in Jazz from USC. Louis has played w/ the Metropole Big Band. and many LA Jazz Fusion musicians. he has played w/ Kurt Rosenwinkel. He is perfectly capable of playing Straight Ahead. it's just that his heart and soul are somewhere else.
Louis casually demolishing the kit to end the track is so fun to see live
I was at this show, the pianist was absolutely incredible the whole time.
That pianist is Eldar Djangirov. Look him up. He was a child prodigy and is one of the most gifted pianists of his generation.
Agreed , he was nuts
Because that's fucking Eldar!

I hope that's what happened but I think he maybe have just been switching patches 😂

What a great tune. A track. A belter. A beast. A+
So many fabulous musicians!
3:29 The single bass drum pedal crowd were on it!
I like how the HAT hat makes an appearance here.
interresting keyboard solo! love it!
Great quality, this is just a treat. Such incredible talent is best enjoyed live and up close
Hey thanks for uploading, awesome song choice too!. I was there as well, i hope you had a great time too!
I was there, yeah, sounded great. Nice recording!!
very cool how it can be so mechanical yet so funky
Eldar playing with knower is fucking wicked
I love Knower, I wish I coulda been at this show
Absolute banger. As usual, LC surrounded by eccentric geniuses.
Not a single person on that stage is even close to being a genius.
@@ciaronsmith4995 Ok big shot
🎉you know I was there right up front ! Quality over opinion ❤
piano player just wow
Thanks for posting this! I had a ticket and couldn't make it down from Fort Collins. Looks like it was killer.
Eldar is my favorite key player hands down
it was way too late i realized the person in the front row has a ginormous cap
first time i see a fishing cap in the wild (very cool is the shop)
God they're so good. Knower is basically our generation's Frank Zappa.
Except all their stuff is listenable

@@SeanRainey haha yeah I'm mostly kidding, there's a lot of Zappa stuff I don't like but at his best he's pretty much incredible.

I can see where "Things will fall apart" came from now.
just realised Louis conducts with two batons and a drum kit . . . . . 🤘😝🤘
where's Louis' legs? I hope he finds them
He doesn't have legs any more, he has one kick drum and one hi-hat.. that's why playing them comes so naturally for him xD
Homie almost forgot he had a key solo coming up.
Lol didn’t catch that until I saw your comment. But then he just demolished it.
He was changing something on the laptop next to him I believe.
@Montane Zone Music : Got any more clips than the two? Fantastic show, I gotta see em live
I might have one more? Will look into it. 🙏
@@montanezonemusic
is that ben jones bobbing along in the back there? (recently got the gig w jacob collier)
That’s a big band to bring for a modest sized show. Can’t be all that profitable to bring that many on tour
All the horn players were locals :)
Eldar!!!🎹
It's so weird to listen to this song without the drum equalization
Hey Shane Endsley!
🎶👌
lmmaaooo cool shirtz fishing hat spotted

Can’t hear what your saying darlin’ I’ll pull up to the window
Who was that on keys?
eldar djangirov
Yea e, thanks for uploading this! That keys solo was the bees pajamas.
I'm disappointed there's not a big honkin' piece o' cardboard on his snare
YO! ego drummer put your lady up in the mix .
Just put off that ridiculous 'cool' mop & cap.
Won't even watch.
Dislike.
can't hear the squeaky small vocals as usual
Agree, not sure what that's about
This is terrible. I am sorry. Not Jazz. Not Fusion.
Just curious, what kind of Jazz and Fusion you like? Please name names.

time to call it boys, ciaronsmith4995 says this is terrible so no one is allowed to listen to knower anymore
