Hot damn! I've had my eyes on this pipe since I bought the bike a few months ago. So glad to know if fits with no modification. It sounds vicious! Will definitely be fitting this with a hordpower intake and tune next season.

Much better choice, the R7 isn't what the R7 should be, disrespectful to the original lol. They really should have called this the MT-07r or something totally different.

@@360johnn It is the successor, as that is what successor means. But that is not what I said, I said it was disrespectful to the original, meaning the classic and rare R7.
Thats a much different choice haha. ZX6R is a "cheater" 600cc Race bike. The R7 is a level or 2 down for sure. I like the new R7 by itself, but its in my mind a Bigger R3, not anything like a "real" Supersport R6/R1 (or OG R7..)

I’ve just taken delivery of a KTM Superduke 1290RR, one of 500 hundred.
I usually buy Austinracing exhausts’ but for this I’ve purchased a SC Project CR-T MUFFLER, WITH TITANIUM MESH ON EXIT MUFFLER.
It has a distinctive tone, similar to Austinracing but slightly different. Yours sounds oh soooo sweet!

Hope my new Aprilia RS660 sounds that good or at least comes close when I purchase it with all the extra mods I am planning to preorder and have installed before it even leaves the dealership.
270° P-twin, so should sound just as good, plus everything else is superior. Good choice.
Yamaha just needs to update the CP2 engine. Add a little more bore and stroke to get it to the 85-90 bhp range to be more competitive, especially with Hornet now, which not only costs less but performs way better, especially in a roll race. Motorcyclist (I think) did drag and roll races and the Honda pulled away hard every time. They also said the Hondas engine had more character. Kind of shocking since Yamaha generally has the peppier, more lively bikes…
I was right… My CRT-1 SC Project w/carbon fiber tip sounds INCREDIBLE!!!!! I made the best choice. So freaking happy.

I've never riden a bike like this but I ride with a slightly modified kawasaki ninja 650 and it's not bad.

i hear some hesitation and choked out sounds on the stock one. Sounds smoother with the SCp, but i bet a SBU tune would make it even better

For the R7 exhaust, do you have to buy a whole new pipe system too? theres no slip on options or a way to use the original and just swap or install the slip on ?
That sound suits the MT07 as a naked torque machine but not a sport bike with full fairings.
What additional weight savings did you gain by removing the unnecessary brackets?

Do I need to tune my motorcycle after installing this exhaust?
I got a filter an exhaust and abs fuse removed still needs a tune but that made a huge difference to be honest it’s not a speed bike it’s more of hooligan bike wheelys drifts and what not
The crazy thing is that us motorcycle guys say it’s not fast but it’s faster than like 90% of the cars on the road.

Curious why SC projects would come out with a pipe for the R7 when I think the MTO 9 is a more popular model?
because Europe, the UK and Australia have progressive licenses based on age or experience meaning 650's are more popular as you can restrict them down to meet power limits. Couple of examples would be in 2019 both France and Germany had twice the amount of MT-07's sold compared to the MT-09
