You're tutorial is so much better than the tutorial for my animation class!! They don't explain ANYTHING, so I always watch your tutorials afterwards! Thanks so much for making this!!
You are a god send. I've somehow found myself in grad school for animation without having any animation background lolol. This video will help me dominate my assignment! Thanks, Skitty.
Thank you so much for the amazing tutorial! I'm an animation student, and the animation teacher I had in my last class really confused walk-cycles for me, I feel like I understand the concept again. I'm on a binge of your videos while I wait for critique back from my current teacher on my latest assignment, so thanks for the help in advance haha!
Been trying to figure out the method for translating a character through a scene for a while now and while I've come up with stuff that works, this is the more efficient method I've seen. Thankyou so much for your insight and helping me improve my workflow a bit more, not enough people go in depth as to the method behind the madness when it comes to 3D animation.
This is amazing. Thank you for this thorough tutorial. I’m self learning animation. These videos are so helpful! I hope to find a job in animation in the future. Never stop making these amazing animation fundamental tutorials!
Here is a possible video idea for you. What about a lesson on uses for cycle animations in a shot and how to transitioning into or out of a cycle animation.
Do you mean motion trail or motion path? Motion trails are just so you can see your movements arc/tweak it. I do have a tutorial on motion paths though ;)
It doesn't affect the workflow, but it will affect the number of frames you use between poses. The higher the fps, the more frames you'll need between poses to keep the same timing.
Why not just showing the drawings and examples? Filming your face doesn't help and gets distracting + some pauses between sentences would help...yeah yeah i know, i'm terrible and all that. Nice channel anyways, your editing method just get annoying after a while.

Sorry to hear your class isn't helping, that's turning out to be a pretty common issue. Glad I could fill that gap for you!

Great work Skitty, Probably the most informative and Descriptive video on Walk Cycles!!
Thank you! All I could ask for is that it's helpful 😊
Skitty, your videos are incredibly helpful. This one in particular. Thank you!

You're very welcome! Best of luck on your self-learning. It isn't easy, but employers care more about your work quality than a piece of paper 😊
so much to learn from you...Tysm
Im new to animation, started animating a month ago. I've done 4 walk cycles till now. Normal, female, zombie and sneak. 😊
Im so glad I found your channel
This is so helpful
Wow such amazing videos, these are priceless & perfectly presented/explained thankyou so much!
thanks so much!
Thanks for the tutorial. I actually like using locators at the toes instead of eyeballing when moving the walk cycle
That's a totally valid way to go about it!
Best way ive ever heard this been explained
“Bye Dana”🤣🤣🤣
Thank you . Waiting for more great tutorial.
I like the way you are explaining.. thank you..👍

soo cool thanks :)
Happy to help! :)
Good job
Thank you!
Could you do a run cycle? I find most people only do walks :) Great content!!
Skitty how long have you been studying animation?
Technically since 2010, but there was a gap between graduating & finding work :)
Here is a possible video idea for you. What about a lesson on uses for cycle animations in a shot and how to transitioning into or out of a cycle animation.
That's a great idea, thanks! 😊
No problem. Thank you for the great tutorials.
I wish you could make a tutorial on how to attach a character to a motion trial, it could all get really confusing.. 😋

@@SkittyAnimates I guess I meant motion path! lol oh really? cool! Ill defiantly check it out. 🙏🏽
Thanks but what if the animation is in 60 fps or 30 fps instead of the usual 24 fps? Does it affect the workflow?
It doesn't affect the workflow, but it will affect the number of frames you use between poses. The higher the fps, the more frames you'll need between poses to keep the same timing.
