A laid back song, with two sneaky good guitar solos! Well done and thank you for putting this out.

Brother Darren...one of my favorites! And Mr. Young would be proud...all the way down to the signature "compressor" sound...dang! This is fabulous! If memory serves me right, I believe the "2nd half" of the solo is actually on a second track as you can "hear" the sustain of the last note of end of the 1st half of the solo and the first note of the 2nd half of the solo "overlap" each other...check it out when you can...as this is all by memory on a song that I have listened to so many times...but not in a very long time;)

Thank you my friend for kind words. I tried to get that solo close to Reggie’s actual solo including the compression. I’m not sure if Reggie played it on the top strings or not but I played it starting on the 2nd string to create the thickness in tone that I hear on Reggie’s solo. However it could have been a combination of Reggie’s studio rig and of course his touch that only Reggie could produce. Reggie Young is undoubtedly one of my all time favourite guitarists. I love Zac Child’s Truetone Lounge 3 part interview with Reggie in his final years. Reggie seemed like a true gentleman.
I need to go back and listen to that solo and listen in for the other part of the solo as you described. I’ve also got to get back to posting more videos again but I’ve been busy getting ready to do a Clapton tribute show with my band buddies. And I love watching your videos and am always amazed at your playing. Truly inspirational.
Thanks again my friend! Until next time!

Guitar player, 45 years (yeah, I'm getting old)... Very nicely done. You remember back in the day when there were no UA-cam videos? Anyway, I think I'll give this a whirl and see what happens. It's not difficult or flashy but it is so tasty. Typical Reggie. Thanks Guitar Everyone. Very nice video. jc

Thank you for watching and for the kind words. And yes I sure do remember the days before UA-cam! Playing the same parts over and over on LP records and tapes trying to learn the parts. And I agree Reggie was so tasty and he had the knack of playing the write phrase in just the right place. And he definitely had his own touch and tone. Thanks so much again for watching and I hope my video helps out some which I’m sure you will nail it.

To me having the solo written out in tabs would be most helpful. it was well explained but having the tabs is helpful.

Thanks for watching and for your suggestion David. Unfortunately I don’t translate to tab.
