Just bought my first straight razor. I’ve been diving head first into videos for the past few weeks and yours are my favorite by far. The in depth looks at the edges just make me happy.
Can’t wait to delve further into this new hobby, thank you for the high quality content!

My posting from yesterday vanished, probably neglected to finish. Fine and unique razor, I like how easily you removed them large chips. I did a restore on a vintage W. Greaves and Sons, a full wedge. Great old steel but it had a spinal warp. It had a space under it and on the other side it rocked. I simply removed material from both sides, checked the geometry and honed it with tape..I dig your progressive finishing set up but noticed you used a La Lune in another video, perhaps I should purchase one. My current Jnat seems to be lacking...keep making your great videos!

@@guysolis5843 I had the same experience with 2 Greaves SR, both of them with terrible geometry.
They're really nice looking blades but geometry seems to be a regular issue... (Same with Wade & Butcher)
Regarding LA LUNE, it's a decent enough stone, I'd say a good JNAT will still be better but it would cost you a lot more.
For a reasonable budget the LA LUNE can be a good choice indeed.

Btw, fair play on your head shave with a SR! You're a brave man 💪😊

@@FroggyShave Haha..thanks. The second half I used a DE for the back and I bled. I bled so much I refused to slap on alcohol based after shave...I used medical balm!!

    Salut froggy

In the long run bevel will crack. There was no need for tape. In this way you reduced the bevel and made all more easy but is not correct! Its not a wedge!🎉

Tape or No Tape, this is a very personal choice. As long as it's satisfying the user that's the most important.
On my side, I'll always use tape ton protect the spine. 🤩👌
