Polishing wood with cardboard! Love it. No rush, no noise, just the gentle sounds of tools on wood and metal. Respect all the way. And above all, you are a cat man.
Watching you work on your projects is so calming and relaxing. Using a straight razor is a skill most men don't have now. I like that you replaced the broken handle with recycled walnut rather than the original ivory or bone. Congratulations.
Что за удивительная радость - смотреть эти чудесные видео! Лучшее, что видел за последнее время. Такое видео сродни старому вину - хочется пить не спеша

Wonderful job... Like the way you work. Very detailed and precise not only I have the Old Singer scissors, but also a shaving blade Already with me for 40 years , I’m a 60 years old Barber but now we’re using the disposable type .
Well, well. This was an awesome restoration with a creative way. You have brought this beautiful razor blade a brand new level. I think, the original maker would be proud of you, as I am! Well done, excellent craftsmanship!
Dear friend. I was here! :-) What a beautiful restoration! And beautifully filmed too! You are a true artist. It looks so easy when you do it. I loved the making of a new handle. Cheers my friend! Per-Olov
Эта мастерская - обитель и столяра, и художника, и алхимика...А эти старые инструменты, все отлично работающие и теперь! Думаю, так работали мастера Возрождения, без всяких преувеличений
Now I really love this piece, beautiful work. I've tried for years to use a oil or wet stone and could just never keep my angle consistent enough to work and you made it look so easy.
Three questions. 1. What oil are you using on the wood? 2. What is the purple liquid you are using on the metal? 3. What is the name/maker of your coffee maker? Awesome video as always, thanks!
Hi Paul, thank you. 1. Linseed oil 2. Kind of Pure Alcohol to clean the polish 3. Very old Moka Pot but unfortunately no name on it :[ Nice to see you here 🗜️⚒️🌟
Another languid view of a whole process, start to finish, through your masterful eyes. I treat myself to one of your video gifts each day. I too know the pleasure of a straight razor shave, free from disposable plastic. I appreciate the slower process, from the occasional hone and regular skilful strop, to the mindful short strokes across one’s face. I liked the sneak peep at the start of your vintage wristwatch. Using and restoring vintage hand tools is my main ancient love, but I’ve a treasured collection of vintage mechanical watches, pocket watches and antique clocks. Watch repair needs specialty tools that are beyond my workshop, but restoring an antique clock movement is very achievable - with your skills, if you’ve never tried, I recommend the pleasure of bringing the living tick-tock back to a handsome antique clock!
Julian thank you very much for this beautiful comment. ı'm glad you interested in watches. I'm suggesting you to search jaquet Droz, his watches and automates. He has a masterpiece "Writer" You shoul see,you will love
Thank you Sir, for the recommendation to Jaquet Droz. I just watched The Writer in action, which clearly took miniature mechanical engineering to an unimagined height. Where function and beauty walk gracefully, hand in hand. Something that I see you deeply appreciate in how you produce in your workshop. And something that underpins other small workshops, all around the world - my own workshop included. Skill with one’s hands is a gift, but takes an entire lifetime to express. The artistry of the craftsperson is a long journey.
Julian such a beautiful explanation about being a craftsman. I 'm so happy to be able to share my journey with all of you. Great to see you here and I'm glad you enjoyed meeting JDroz

I've been given my great great grandfather's razor. It has thin ivory scales still intact. If I want to take it apart to clean it up and put it back together how should I delicately grind away the pin heads so I don't crack the thin ivory?
You brought the razor back to new! You have an interesting workshop there! Can you give us a tour of it? Is that a Roman viaduct out back? Regards from Ireland!
