Go go go! Must be hard to make food and travel videos during the pandemic. Hope it blows over soon! Prima’s curry noodles and boxes of Mee Siam, Chilli Crab etc are really good too!
Algorithm juice! The laksa looks the best and if you didn't tell me the pho broth was so so then that looked great too. Great idea to make instant noodles a proper meal
Hi Janice, by coincidence I had that Laksa for lunch today. Always a few packets in the pantry. I normally put the frozen prawns into the water with the other ingredients and bring it to the boil before cooking the noodles. Saves time and everything cooks in the one pot.
Loved the vlog, Janice! Hmmm most expensive video - Japanese omakase or hotel buffet? 🤔 we love the Nissin Ramen that you can get from Coles, but we’re too lazy to add extra ingredients 😂 Currently we’re trying Chinese Lays chips that we bought from the Asian grocer pre lockdown, and having fun comparing the different flavours. So far we’ve had Italian red meat, cucumber, and seaweed. Our fave so far is the seaweed one. We still have many flavours to go! Maybe you’d like to do a vlog on something like this one day? Stay safe 🙏🏼
I totally loved this video Janice I have tried the laksa one and thought it 😉was pretty good ..❤️🥰love your videos and hope you have a great week ..,x💕🥰
agree! this laksa instant noodles is good. tried it before and it’s really good for an instant noodles! :) others i love would be the nissin seafood cup noodles (the japanese one!!) and shin ramyun 😄
@@JaniceFung yep, cook noodles separately then drain and put noodles in the soup. the key is to put enough water in a small enough bowl so it is limited and becomes super concentrated. tastes better x2
Korean Ramens are good too, there is a Jajang sauce Ramen (black bean paste) they were good the time I spent over there! I like Your Videos from here in the US!
If you're looking for a good Laksa instant noodle but without the effort, the Mamee Chef brand ones that are sold in Woolworths are fantastic. Especially when they're half price which is about every 6 weeks or so. Brings them down to about $1.15. From a fellow Malay Chinese Takeaway fan, miss it so much since i moved to Adelaide!
That laksa looked really great, I'll be trying to find that one next time I go to the Asian supermarket, or as you probably call it, the supermarket. Most expensive video would have to be the $268 seafood dinner feast for 8, assuming you paid for the other seven.
I like the instant noodle too very yummy and each flavor is good. The Thailand instant noodle taste very nice too the Tomyam yummy you may try that I Food Leveling
I had the same pho one here in my store cupboard (we live off grid so shopping isn't an option for lunch) for when I desperately needed pho, so I thought I'd eat it while you did. You were absolutely right about it needing quite a lot of extras, which I didn't have.. So I dragged out my own favourite comfort food, the Super Mi Mi Goreng, whose spices remind me of home in Bali. THAT was much better :). I buy the cup version which comes with its own plastic lid AND spoon, you can just shove the water and flavourings on top and also add an egg if you want
They are many instant noodles from each Asian countries but here some of them that I try it 😊 : Jajangmyeon, Maggi Masal, Mi sedaap, Nongshim's Black Bean, Cheese & Curry Fire, Carbonara Samyang, Ghost Pepper, Ippudo & Ichiran 😁 Do you eat a lot of noodles or ramen 🤤?
Hi Janice... I'm sure that the seasonal/temperature difference from Australia compared to the North America was probably part of my education... but it apparently never "stuck". You are sitting in your house eating hot noodle dishes with a hoodie on and I am over here in north eastern PA in the USA under a heat advisory. Heat indexes of 140 deg. predicted for tomorrow. Isn't our world a super crazy place. You stay warm, while we try to stay cool. Thank you for your "keep on keeping on attitude" ... it must be difficult. But I'm still here and watching. Hugs... PS
It's funny I used to love the La Mian Laksa but everyone I had try it didn't like it.. 😅 I usually make laksa from scratch now a days though but for a quick fix they are great
@@JaniceFung I use Marion's laksa paste recipe ua-cam.com/video/vdRbJAw2Qjc/v-deo.html Although if you didn't want to make the laksa paste, store brought ones can be good. Hi Janice. There's one that I found recently that I quite like. Nongshim Tempura Udon. It has a thicker noodle than your average instant noodle and a rich dashi flavoured soup. The dried ingredients also include a reasonable attempt at two slices of kamaboko. They're made in Korea. I've also tried one of the many varieties of Luosifen, but it's a bit of an adventure to cook, containing numerous little packets of ingredients. The finished result tastes great but smells awful. It's kinda like the soup equivalent of stinky tofu.
@@JaniceFung It would be one of two places, ThaiKee at Market City or one of the TongLi stores, but I can't remember for sure. I am leaning towards ThaiKee though. They came in a five pack for about $8.00 I have seen other varieties of Nongshim Udon style noodles at Woolies, but they are $5.00 for single packs. A bit too rich for instant noodles hey? Edit: I found Nongshim Tempura Udon on ThaiKee's website, $8.90 for a five-pack
I hope it helped, I watched the full 6 minutes commercials in the middle of your video (🤫well, I went to the restroom but I won't tell UA-cam)! I bet your most expensive video this year was the Crown Hotel buffet.
