I did that Ridge to Nowhere and man did I regret it after without heat acclimation training. I think I gave up after round 5 or 6 knowing that there was no way I couldve stayed within 1 hr timeframe 3 more times with cramps, etc. Cool experience, but brutal course with heat added on.
I was telling all my friends running it the first time to be extremely cautious, that course can creep up on you. The first lap felt great but then you find yourself going up a dune and questioning about your life choices. I signed up for the 24 hour version they're having this year and it's honestly the only race since Georgia Jewel that has me stressing.
Good job Mike!
Thank you!
Epic performance's and quite the feat in the heat to defeat the summer slam!
The heat was crazy, and I can't wait for Fall and Winter races. But in Florida even a December race can still be as hot as a summer race lol
I can't believe I signed up for this again :/
