It's been a bit since I've jumped head first into a whole wave of Marvel Legends all at the same time, but dang it, it's Thor! I'm so excited for Love and Thunder that I had to get some action figures!

I really believe the main reason ppl are getting the Ravager Thor one is mainly for the head so they can swap this new Thor head onto past MCU Thor bodies since this has the best Chris Hemsworth likeness yet
Body has potential for custom, but the bulk and height of the fig limits the number of characters you can make from it.
I just like it coz it looks cool. Might buy a few for kitbashing

You can kitbash the best Avengers Thor if you use the ravager thor head plus infinity war thor's body. It'll suffice since Hasbro hasn't given us a good Avengers thor 👀

When people complain about repaints and reuse in lines, THIS is why you get those. There's a metric ton of new sculpt and exceptional design on all of these figures. That all costs more to tool and manufacture. This is the reward for supporting reuse-heavy figures.
Except Marvel and Hasbro have more money than god himself. They could make a whole new sculp for every new figure line and IT WOULDN'T MAKE A DENT for them.
Someone asked Todd about reuse and he laughed and said it was ridiculous hence why he is completely fine with doing completely unique sculpts 90% of the time.
Money and budgets are not the issue, the main focus is profit, and if you can re-use and re-paint parts from years ago, sell it for 25.00, then why not? 🤷🏽♂️

I don't usually do comments, but Fwoosh is my hero. Seeing someone with the same excitement as myself for Black Series and Legends is just a total joy.

I try only to get one figure for every MCU character I care about - Ravager Thor will probably be my signature Thor. His head sculpt is beautiful, and it's a cool distinct look that represents where his character is at after Endgame.

For me, that colourful Thor reminds me of how Kirby drew and coloured Odin. A little psychedelic and touches of circuitry kinda detail.
Liking the wave as a whole but it's disappointing that some of these still use a hinge for the neck. Barbell joints are just the way to go for 2022 and beyond. Hope to see this Thor eventually get rereleased with a barbell joint like they did with the Iron Man & Thanos two-pack.
Same here! However i must commend the wave on how most of the figures have done away with the torso crunch in favor of the superior barbell
The Starlord is actually more reuse that you think, the new parts look to be head,vest,coat and arms.
The Gor figure totally looks like a sith.
Gorr’s sword is the first symbiote made by the symbiote god Knull. Knull used it to decapite the celestial knowhere.
I love that Groot’s “bio” simply says I am Groot.
This is probably my favorite ML wave this year so far. Incredible new sculpts on most of the figures. Looking forward to this movie and happy to have the figures for them.
After seeing the movie, it’s hilarious that Valkyrie comes with Korg’s head because….you know 🤣🤣

Black suit with the fur collar would've been awesome. Nebula with the silver/navy blue suit over another Groot, yes. BAF Eternity, heck yea !
My only nitpick about this wave is the lack of additional hands for each figure. It's not a deal breaker, but a pair of closed fists would've been nice for a bit of variety. Especially considering a lot of the previous ML waves started normalizing 1 set of alternate hands.
I just got Gorr yesterday, glad to see you review them. On my shelf, he's going with my Sith with a lightsaber in hand - His appearance is just too cool. Good EU look for one.

I liked the gold and blue suitZ but my favorite of his suits in all the MCU is the one with the fur on the shoulders that he wears briefly in Love and Thunder. So sickZ

Just saw the whole wave in my local comic shop, was tempted by Gorr but instead went with another white clothed somewhat restricted articulation bad guy with the Jigsaw figure.
I'm a big villain guy, my MCU villain display is one of my favorite parts of my collection so Gorr I'm really interested in, and I hope he's a good character in the film. Until the film releases I'll wait on picking that figure up, mostly to see if he's a character I'll actually care about and to see if the figure is an accurate enough representation of how he looks in the film. Knowing Hasbro they sometimes have more concept art based designs like what happened with Wenwu, but he was still close enough in accuracy and good enough of a character for me to justify that purchase. I don't mind restricted articulation as long as the figure looks good, and whilst Gorr is a bit plain that likeness is fantastic.
The rest are easy passes for me, I like to be one and done with characters in this line and most of them I either already have a version of or just don't have enough attachment to them yet to justify a purchase.
I haven’t collected Legends in years but seeing these has me hyped for Love & Thunder!

I was initially skeptical of the Natalie Portman likeness when I watched Kyle Peterson's review but once I got Mighty Thor in hand, I was very happy (it's definitely the blonde hair that throws everything off). King Valkyrie is my favourite because I just love the character and Tessa Thompson's portrayal of her. The Ravager Thor head on the armored Thor body is 🤌🏼. I hate the Star-Lord head sculpt and will continue to use the 2-Pack Star-Lord as my display one. I have all the Groot figures so it didn't so much for me. Same with the BAF Korg as I have the original and they've yet to give us a truly happy/smiling head sculpt (and I also have the same leg issues on mine). Gorr looks great and even though we don't know too much about the MCU version yet, it's a cool design.
This wave is very well done for the most part.
Might pick up Gorr for a background Star Wars Cantina alien. He has a look to him.

The review has made me see how much better the figures look then I thought. I still don't think I will pick up any of these figures but they are better than I really thought.

For me the ravager thor figure is the stand out of the wave. You can rock multiple looks with him. And he also looks badass with the helmet head on. Shame the baf sucks. Mine has a left arm problem where it just pops off at the bicep and I can't close korgs legs so he's always got a weird power stance. It sucks. I hate gors design lol but that ravager Thor is just so cool. And if you have previous guardian figures he looks great with them. And I have a custom thor hammer posed with him so he just has alot of potential for display or Dios.
The more I see of it the more the golden thor grows on me. I already wanted Gorr and Ravager Thor, but the golden one does look good

I'm going to tell you something, I'm not a collector, I don't like dolls, but I've been working with a model for 40 years, and I wouldn't work with this piece, maybe because of prejudice or machismo, but the fact is that in these 40 years, I'm sorry to the artists of the collecting, but not even Hot toys impressed me so much !
They even made the little marck on the girl's face! Hasbro has done it now, very cool, even the miniature, the face and the hair are perfect !
Maybe they should have done more with the draping of the cover, but from everything I've seen so far, it's a sensational piece! Really, really good !
Good no, great! It even causes strangeness, because compared to other Marvel legends, it is much superior to sculpture !
The eyes, the eyelashes, THE EYELASHES, how absurd! I've never seen anything like it, especially for the scale !

For me this wave is on the same level as the Retro Spider-Man wave. I love Thor, I love MCU Thor and even the figures I thought I'd like least out of this wave I quite enjoy with them in hand. On top of that this wave went from announced to complete and in my hand in less than a week, and in this day and age that's a HUGE win.
To me Ravager Thor looks like a lumberjack. A really awesome lumberjack. Also Gor’s eyes should be sith yellow, but awesome wave. I’m getting it for sure to build Korg.
Ravager thor, jane foster and gorr are my favorites. unique looks and pinless joints are cool and like these the most. keep on coming with these reviews robo 👍

I'm going for that Star Lord. I've held off previously on guardians but after seeing leaked set photos from Vol3, I'm guessing we'll get a traditional style Rocket which I've been hoping for. I prefer the ragtag look so this Peter, classic Rocket, big Groot (which I still see in the wild) will be the base of my team while I hope to get my hands on those Disney land figures for the Drax and Gamora.

I didn't go with the whole wave, because it's a bit expensive, but I got Valkyrie, and two Ravager Thors, one of which is going on the dashboard of my car. Yes, I love him that much.

I dont really collect marvel figures but the customizer in me wants to detail the crap outta teen groot, a nice wash on Mjolnir, and even Korg too.

I love that they are giving black characters different skin tones instead of everyone is the same tootsie pop brown. Hopefully we'll see some other black characters get this update. Misty Knight is do for some love, she is the first black female superhero and especially after those wonky eyes with her first figure.

Man, I’m envious of Marvel Legends collectors. You guys get your figures ahead of the movie (“entertainment”) releases. For Star Wars we get the months and even years later. Hope the Kenobi series will change that.
I collect both and I started collecting Legends way after Black Series but my Legends collection is significantly larger than my Black Series collection... And it's 100% because they reveal all of the Black Series figures but it takes so long for them to come out. I had probably 75 Star Wars figures before I ever bought a Marvel figure but the release schedule for Black Series has just gotten so bad.

Custom Idea: In the movie thor's new costume has bare arms with gauntlets. So you could take the arms from jack burton thor and connect the gauntlets to them and put the on the new thor costume to make it more accurate.

You could definitely use Gorr's sword for a custom Marve Legends Elric of Melnibone figure.
Would've loved to have seen Rocket, Nebula, Mantis & Drax, just to recreate that opening sequence from the movie. Mantis seems to be wearing something very similar to what she wore before, but Nebula is wearing her Ravager outfit, apparently, which hasn't been made as a Marvel Legends - I don't think.

I cosplayed ravager Thor over the weekend.. I look a LOT like Chris Hemsworth and have the perfect hair length for it.. I ordered stormbreaker for future times I cosplay it, too!!! Can’t wait to pick this guy up

My guess for the new Thor armor is he accepts his heritage and gains the Odin "Thor" force. It looks like a mish mash of his Thor costume and Odin's.
Love and Thunder for your videos, Fwoosh!! For Hasbro, as prices creep upwards, how 'bout some of that fabric capes already on the Star Wars Black Series? 4 figures in this wave would have benefited tremendously, and 5 if you can pull it off on StarLord's coat.

There is a motion comic on youtube about Gorr the God Butcher you can search out that is very well done. He gives you the comic book version of Gorr. The Bale version will be a lot different I'm sure. The comic series was called THOR: The God Butcher. The guy does a great job on the narration.
I'm super excited to get the armoured Thor. It just draws the eye. I am disappointed that Gus's head didn't find it's way onto Ravager Thor's body at any point in this video 😏

The arm on my Valkyrie was stuck and I got it with some heat, finally got it unstuck but then the bicep swivel snapped 😢
Super hero squad had a more comic accurate version of Valkyrie than the MCU
I know it's just the toy, which could be based on early promo art, but Gorr is underwhelming. And I'm talking about bringing in Christian Bale to have just a plain ole costume. I dunno, maybe he didn't want to wear a complicated costume after his TDK experiences, and I know is some set photos he's got a bit more robe layers in the movie. It's kind of like Kylo Ren, where a layered fabric look can be great on an actor, but is not going to translate great in figure form.
Most likely because of Christian Bale, since he doesn't even have a CGI face to look similar to his comic counterpart

I was a pass on this Wave and BAF. However, since they did change the plastic color on Korg BAF, you could have 2 different rock guys if you wanted it.

I have all these except for Ravager Thor. Can't seem to find him in the stores yet.
for my korg I brought the thighs forward and knees down just slightly so hes in a very slight crouching pose and I feel like that looks better than if he was just standing with his legs straight. like if the first korg was ready for war and the second is more relaxed
If you put the Gus (ego) head on the ravaged Thor with no jacket on, you’d have a kickass old man jack burton custom

Star lord’s head sculpt looks like marv from home alone when looking straight at it. (5:29 minutes in)
So far I only have the 2 women, but I hope to get the entire Wave. Next up is the 2 Thor's, then hope to get the last 3. Don't really need the Korg, but I am going to try and Army Build them as I want to buy 2 more of the ones with Grandmaster as I have 3 Marvel Earth's so I can use 3 of him.

Gor looks like voldemort and starlord is starting to look like jack burton. I swear that regal rhor looks like he has some ancient Egyptian influences in his armor.
