I have my grandfather's Woodsman Series 1 from 1946. It was called a Pre War/Post War gun because it was assembled after the war with parts made before the war. It's a really sweet shooter.
I too have a Colt Woodsman with 6inch tapered barrel. Serial is from 1962 prob in 90 percent. Almost a shame to shoot it. Question, I noticed to slide did not lock back on last round. Mine does that with both of my mags, only locks back on empty mag manually pulling back the slide. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Here a match target will cost at least $1,000 and if you find one cheaper you feel like you got a deal. Short barrel match target price.... add 20% maybe more.

my favorite gun of my dad's was that exact same colt match target. he gave it to me on my 18th birthday. still my favorite shooter.

My guess is the springs and followers on this mag was just too old. Try new springs and followers and see what happens!

I find CCI Standard Velocity "LRN" to be most accurate (inexpensive Non-Match ammo)!

I'm lucky asf cause when I'm old enough in gonna get a guns license so 3 years and a bit and my dad has one so I'll end up with his eventually
