Helpful video! When would you use Audience Manager to create audiences vs creating the audience using the "Audiences" tab on the left of the Campaign or Ad Group pages? Other than Audiences being usable repeatedly, are there other advantages between one method or the other (granularity of targeting, etc.)? Thank you!

Essentially as long as a given audience is compatible with search campaigns, add as many as you can. Observe performance and adjust accordingly

    I have a question.
You pick all those in-market audiences in observation mode. Now a visitor that clicks on the ad can be in-market for sports goods and in-market for used cars, both at the same time.
Does observstion mode register that click into both of those in-market audiences or just one?
How Google determines to which audience to add that specific click?

Google bases audience participation on those signals for purchase meaning you can be in more than one audience. The important thing is how the audience performs, regardless of if there are member crossovers

@The Big Marketer - PPC & SEO Thank you for your reply. While your logic works with big samples of data, when it comes to limited amounts of visitors such as small niches or small markets it can make a difference how google attributes clicks or conversions to observation audiences. That's why I ask if it can attribute single click to multiple observation audiences.
To expand this question a bit further, lets use this case: if i have two In-market audiences where one is subcategory of other (i.e. Autos&Vehicles > Motor Vehicles), and user who is part of Motor Vehicles in-market audience, is he or she counted into both Autos & Vehicled and Motor Vehicles or just Motor Vehicles? I haven't been able to find that answer online.

In case I have an in-market audience that perform way better than the rest, does it make sense to pull it out from the observation, create a personalized ads for this audience and treat it as the targeting audience?

Hi Hien, yes that is a great way of optimising the account. Just make sure you put the high performing target audience into a different campaign or ad group (depending what level your audiences are set too), so that you can still collect data & optimise the other audiences.

Hi Darren! Greetings from Argentina! I love your videos! I'd like to ask you a question: If I'm using an automated bid strategy, do I still need to use bid adjustments for audiences? Should Google be taking than information into account while bidding automatically on my behalf?

    • @AaronYoungGoogleAds
      @AaronYoungGoogleAds 2 роки тому

Hi Viviana, I would still use bid adjustments for audiences. The data that I am looking for is to compare your Cost/Conv and search impression share in the different audiences.
That way you can add extra bid optimisations on any audiences that have a low Cost/Conv and a low search impression share.
      I hope that helps 😀

When do you use the Audiences feature, right of the back when you start an Search Campaign ?

Does using audiences constrain traffic of a campaign or an ad set? Sometimes we jsut need to spend our unused budget by the end of the month & am wondering if using audiences prevents us from doing so completely (by not letting in most/all traffic)? I know google says if you pick observation as opposed to targeting you should be fine but I'm not so sure...any help on this is highly appreciated!

    • @AaronYoungGoogleAds

Hi Kanadanka, by adding the audiences as observation only you are not constraining traffic in any way. You are now just getting some extra data if people are allocated into the audiences you have added to your campaign

Can you do a video on how to get a SEO or PPC job? Like what experience you need if you have no prior experience and etc. I would appreciate it. Thanks for the great content.

What does Google do if a user clicking in your ad is "connected" to 3 audiences? Does Google choose only one or does it count on the 3 of them?

@@darrentaylordigital Maybe you should run some campaigns (for the big marketer), especially now for the next few weeks... people are going to become very distracted and your channel seems pretty decent.
