Hey men, congratulations for this incredible work, I don't know if the idea of combining those colors came from you or if you had seen something similar, but the result was great, incredible, unexpected, I loved the dial, the hands, the bezel insert and the box, the only thing I would like to change would be the strap for an orange rubber one, I think it would look fantastic. Like it very cool 😎 nice video man I look forward to watching more of them. I would really love to be able to do my own creations but alas I do not own this skills. I have tried but I'm just not steady enough 😢 I have most of the tools so I stick to what I can do to save myself money. I have a invicta which needed a new movement which I purchased but during the replacement I lost two of the small hands and as I didn't really know what way to put back together I gave up intending to have another go at it at some point when I feel more confident. I find watching videos like your one I watched and have watched many fascinating and some what therapeutic 😊 great job btw 🎉

Yeah lt looks fantastic bro i was wondering when you put on sec hand you said don't push to hard, did you push it down any more are positioning or as you said not hard because that's all it needs? Great looking piece tho 👌 i try tampering but normally ends bad for me due to having a tremor which isn't conducive to watch building. So for me i mainly stick to the easy things. But that saves me money as i have many watches in my collection. I have to say you did like a guy i used to live with who was from Lithuania which i know has a good heritage of watch making.

What is the point of the 24h bezel if there is no GMT hand pointing at it?
Let's be honest here😅 Most people are buying GMT watches for the look rather than functionality. The same thing here. This bezel insert just looks great in this colour combo😁

If you want the dial indices pop, you can use a sharpie to color them brighter orange.
If you can't find the exact color you want, you can also just order dials with white indices or white hands and just color them with a sharpie.
You can even go so far as to color a piece of clear tape and put a small piece of tape over the back of the date window to make your date wheel any color you want. I wouldn't recommend using this trick on a black wheel with white letters. It is very hard to read the numbers. I tried coloring the actual date wheel but on some wheels, the ink dissolves the numbers.
I made a lime green and black Captain Willard with a lime green strap and black deployant buckle and it absolutely rocks.
I tried using colored piece of plastic on the date window, someone recommended me before.. But honestly, I didn't like it much. I think just using a different color wheel is better
@@ShortBetter I started doing it because red day wheels are almost impossible to find. I just can't find it in myself to spend $70 for the only one I've ever seen.

13:28 and 13:34 Due to the curvature, the bezel ring is not flush with the glass at all. that doesn't look nice. Better reverse aging bezel
Are there 3rd party quartz movement being sold anywhere, outside automatic movement?

@@ShortBetter Super sorry to bother you this much you've already helped me a ton but what kind of bezel are you using right now? the old one in the description is out of stock, one i've found has the outer diameter of 38mm and inner diameter of 31.5 (It does say that it fits SKX007 SKX011 tho), but on the case (the 2nd one which you recommended) it says it should have the inner diameter of 30.6. I could not find one with the inner diameter of 30.6 is there a chance that 31.5mm will work? or do you have any other suggestions, thanks alot once again
Nice watch and well done video! I normally service old vintage movements but one 4R36 was so full of rust that I ordered a NH36 as replacement. To my surprise, all the jewels were dry. No lubrication whatsoever. Is this normal?
Honestly, I've never checked it. Most of the movements I ordered come close to plus 1-5 sec\day, that's the first and the last thing I check
@@ShortBetter At first it works ok but all the pivots will wear down after some time of use. I have checked with others who build watches, using NH3X and other movements. It is common that movements must be lubricated before delivery.
There is nothing to say that all NH3X's must be lubricated. It may vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. Yours can be perfectly fine.

@ninochavchavadze2646 the bezel insert I used in this video is 38x31.6mm, but 31.5mm will fit perfectly as well. Scotch tape? Do you mean dial dots?

@ninochavchavadze2646 oh.. that one... Usually, they send it to you with the bezel insert. Which one, it really doesn't matter. As long at it fits the bezel, it's good
How much will it be to have this but with a leather strap with deployment clasp as you would have on a Longines? Plus could you make the hour hand a bit thinner and add the day of the week? How much would that run me, if I wanted somethin like that?

Hey, I've had some bad luck with the quality regarding the cases for skx. I've bought the case you used here, and the movement is loose inside the case. what solution do you recommend? I also bought the case you recommend in the description, and the bezel has a massive play and you can you can jiggle the bezel easily. What do you recommend me doing?
I've had only 1 case that didn't hold the movement tight. I even broke the crown stem while trying to close the caseback. I ended up using dial dots on the side of the movement. It was very tricky to do, but it worked.
About the bezel, all my cases are with the excellent bezel action. Maybe I'm just lucky? Also, I recommend you use the second link for the case. It's a bit more expensive but better quality.
@@ShortBetteryes, I have bought the second case...but with bad luck, after buying the one in this video... The bezel has play and terrible loose action. Would a a new click spring resolve this? Or maybe a thicker gasket?

Get education , go to work , earn some money so you could buy original piece.... As simple as this. Otherwise you will end up buying cheap chinese crappy parts to put together cheap watch.
