  • If you're looking to create immersive augmented reality experiences using 2D images, Adobe Aero is a great tool to work with. With Aero, you can easily import 2D static images, animated gifs, layered PSD files, and png sequences and bring them to life in a 3D space. Here's how you can get started:
First, import your 2D image into Adobe Aero. You can do this by selecting the "Add Asset" button in the Assets panel and then choosing your file type. Once your image is imported, you can use the editing tools in Aero to adjust its position, scale, and rotation.
Next, you can add animations to your 2D image using the behavior feature. With the behaviors, you can create animations such as fades, rotations, and scaling effects. You can also use the behaviors to create interactive animations that respond to user input, such as tap or swipe gestures.
Finally, you can add depth to your 2D images by using layers. With Aero, you can import layered PSD (Photoshop) files and then use the Layers panel to control the visibility and position of each layer. This allows you to create complex compositions that create a more immersive AR experience.
In conclusion, working with 2D images in Adobe Aero is a great way to create engaging AR experiences. By importing your static images, animated gifs, layered PSD files, and png sequences, you can add animations, interactivity, and depth to your designs. So why not give it a try and see what kind of creative AR experiences you can come up with!

Thanks for the tutorial. For me (and for many other people apparently) Aero bug when starting sharing. On 2 different machines, W11 and W10.

Hi, could you explain how can i export aero ar animation to web for using without installing any app? i want to show ar only on chrome or safari. is it possible?

So it is only possible to do this through a temporary applet is what it is called. Not web and only on iOS at the moment. When you publish there is a link and a QR code, when an iOS user scans it it installs an applet (small app) on the phone and allows you to interact with the AR experience. No just web experience yet. Hoping that comes in the future.

ive been making a few ar experiences and hoping to use aero a lot more , but one thing I can't seem to find is a way to finish or end an experience. There isn't an action to it as far as i can see, but would like to make multiple experiences and say this one is over now - press here to close.

Yeah you would have to prompt the user to end from what I know.

@@LearningDojo thanks that's what it looks like to me and can't seem to find an answer anywhere.

For some reason, I can't see my png files or my psd files... they're visible in the layers but not in the space itself...

Hmm, not sure why that may be. Did you do a PNG sequence?

So there’s no conditions in Aero so not possible from what I know. I really hope that comes soon though.

I exported the layered PSD file by File > Export > Export for Aero. Then imported the file on the Aero mobile app but it doesn't show layers it's just a flat image. Also, how can I import GIF file? When I import it, it doesn't move.

Does it play as a gif before you import it into Aero?

@@sujinkim7810 so you may have forgotten to play the animation. In the video this starts around 16:30 mins in. Review that part again and hopefully that works for you.

I don't know what the terrible problem is that prevents Adobe from using the experience on Android devices as is the case on iOS.

Yeah they honestly have really slowed down on making updates. Not sure why. I wish they would create the same experience on Android.
