- The Wheel of Time is back!!! And as good as ever! I am so excited for this season and to see where these beloved characters go!!

It is really amazing how deeply you understand the characters from just watching the show. Testament to both your level of insight as a watcher and I think to how well the show communicates the characters from the books. Loved your S1 reactions and can't wait to follow you on the journey through S2!
I loved the callback to the warming of the jointly shared bath water in season one compared to Moraine alone and unable to warm the water with her dangling fingers.
It's crazy how your intuitive takes are so similar to the reflections of people who have been reading the books for decades. That must also be a testament to the actors, writers and creatives making the show. Happy to come across your channel!

Just what I was coming to comment! I've been reading the books forever, and it took til you didn't recognize Elyas to be sure you hadn't read the books! I love this.
Kate Fleetwood is playing Liandrin so well in this series, I find it hard to look away whenever she is on screen. Just waiting for something to go down. Zoë Robins as Nynaeve is a second character that is really played well, and I am glad we are getting these two interacting so much.

@15:13 or so, when Liandrin walks away from Nynaeve. Notice how she staggers a bit. Trying to fight against Nynaeve and shield her was not as easy for her as she made it seem. She really exhausted herself, meaning Nyn is indeed very strong even now when she is not trained and relying on brute force.
Great reaction and intuitive attention to important details, as always! So far I'm very happy with the second season, especially the performances and the action sequences. Looking forward to your reactions to episodes 2 and 3!

That Ishamael is NOT the Dark one. He is one of the Forsaken as he mentioned to the little girl, but the Forsaken call themselves the Chosen. The Dark one's favorites, its Generals and strongest leaders. In S1 Ep5 Steppin has a few statues that he say is of the Forsaken so the term has been used before in the show.
Hell yeah! Been waiting for this almost as much as the S2 premiere itself 😀

Thus it begins!! Additional note for Moiraine’s new situation: remember that in Season 1, they pointed out she used to be a powerful noblewoman before she became an Aes Sedai, so her doing all this manual labor is especially different from anything she’s known before. Even as a novice, she had the One Power and Siuane to help her through it.

Moraine sent a message to the Reds in ep 7 of season one that Matt was possibly dangerous as a way to keep him in a safe place.
It does mention “Mat,” but it doesn’t mention “Mat Cauthon.”

I am with you, in trying to figure out what the deal is with the little Tuatha'an girl, that appears to be captured by Fain. That she appears at the Dark Friend meeting makes me think she might be sacraficed in the future.

@@JoyScott13ReactsI don't want to outright spoil anything, which is why I try to just do vague hints, but keep those two thoughts in your head as you keep watching and consider their implications!
See if you can even expand on it a bit further! They have mentioned step two of this a few times in the first three episodes here and it was a decent point in Season 1!

Well, Mat and Nynaeve were frustrating in the beginning of the story, but for very different reasons, it's true. And while early Nynaeve (abrasive, hypoctitical) annoyed many but not all readers -younger me included-, Dagger Mat (selfish, paranoid) was insufferable in almost everyone's opinion.

Yeah, but dagger Mat didn’t last for SIX books. And I don’t remember having to read Mat’s POV while he was cursed.
Kinda on the nose that she only starts to relax a little after her relationship status changes.

@richrelaxes1154 You're not wrong on all 3 points. In my current (admittedly only 2nd) reread, it's just easier for me to laugh at her temper and see that she's often angry she can't fix things most everyone views as bad.
