Nice comparison on the speed and street triple, both fantastic machines and great colours although I did like the yellow more , personally for the money I think I'd go for the 765 seems a lot of bike for the money, as for the tyres never rode on those , but I think I'd like something more suitable for the wet weather too , hope all's well Phil 👍🏻
Thanks Dale! They are both great bikes and the 765 RS is without a doubt a lot of bike for the money. I used to own a yellow FZX 750 in bright yellow, but I’m not sure if I would personally buy a yellow one, you know me and my colour coordination, but it does look great I must admit! 🙌
Thanks so much! I was standing next to a 1200 RS and 1050 RS yesterday in a dealership, there’s something special about the old style isn’t there! Thanks for watching and commenting! 😁👍
I've had the 1050rs for 2+ years. It's got a small low mount exhaust and a remap. It's been really great. I've been thinking about switching it up but it's hard to justify moving to the 1200 or a tuono or s1000r.
Some really nice filming mate. I actually own the 2023 Street RS. Mine's in red. Had the cruise control fitted, heated grips, tail tidy and radiator guard, which is a must in my opinion. I am switching the Pirelli's to Roads 6's. As you said, the Supercorsas are amazing in the dry but don't feel so good when it's wet. As to the harsh ride, you can easily adjust that and the manual makes it really easy. They give clear instructions on how you can set it without being an expert. I've had mine set for my weight and also to the ROAD settings listed on the manual. It's perfect! One other thing I wish to mention is that you can switch rider modes while you're riding, which is convenient. The bike also remembers what rider mode you're on when you switch it back on. I came from a Yamaha MT09SP which felt gruntier but this Triumph is so much better in the handling department.
Thanks so much for your kind words and for sharing your experience with the Street Triple. They really are fantastic bikes aren’t they, and yours sounds wicked with all the extras! Let me know how you get on once you have swapped your tyres over, I’m sure you won’t notice the difference in the dry with the Road 6’s but you definitely will in the wet! Thanks for the suspension tips too, which a lot of people will be interested to read. Have fun and stay safe! 😁👍
Well if you can’t make your mind up which one to get I guess that’s one way of getting around it! 🤪 That’s a nice selection of bikes, enjoy and let me know how you think they compare! 😁👍

Hi! I hope you are well, and congratulations on getting the new 1200 RS. I’m sure you will miss the 1050 but the 1200 is a fantastic bike. Thanks for your kind words! 😁👍
My wife has an ‘18 765RS that I I love dearly with the exception of the leg room. I have a dream garage full of superbikes, and I want to ride the Street Triple more often than not than than my own bikes-If I could get a 765RS with legroom, I’d probably not want to ride anything else because it’s such a wonderful bike and doesn’t drink gas or destroy tires… I’m fed up with tires lasting a dozen rides and 100 mile tank range issues. I was really excited for the Speed Triple 1200RS to come out, and even more so when I got the chance to sit on one and saw it had the leg room I was looking for. Fast forward a year and I got to ride both back to back, and then later again I got to ride the 1200 on curvy roads at speed….. Bottom line is that while, yes, the Speed is faster on motor, the Street Triple is an overall better motorcycle IMO. It’s more fluid and slick-just easier all around. The Speed is a bit stiffly sprung and I could get over that, but the front end is simply not as good, and the forums all say it has the range problems my superbikes do…. Which leaves me with a bit of a conundrum…. Is it time for an Adventure bike?
Thanks for your comment and feedback on the Street and Speed Triple. It does sound like if you want to ride further on a full tank, then an adventure bike might be the answer. Have you considered the Triumph Tiger 1200 or Ducati Multistrada V4S which aren’t slow!
I haven’t ridden the Multi (yet), but I have ridden the Tiger1200…… and I didn’t like it pretty much at all. The motor was okay, but the chassis just plain sucked-It was twisting riding the bike in a straight line in metropolitan Detroit under heavy throttle…. I can’t imaging hustling it down a backroad at a sporting pace and feeling confident on it. Interestingly, I did rent a Tiger 800 a few years back for a two day trip and it handled quite well for what it is-just not enough motor.@@TheAdventuresofPhilJones
I'm like 30 yo and own a mt-07, I have a moto licence since this summer and rode a full season. Was thinking of getting a Triumph next year in Summer and was eye-ing the 765 RS and 1200 RS. Would you consider the 1200 RS an overkill or too much for some one with only one season? I'm not a speed demon by any means, but I really like the look of the Single Swingarm on the Speed, I'm actually more worried about the weight, I like doing twisties a lot and don't have many highways in my country.
Hi. Thanks for your comment. As I always say, you can have an accident on any size bike, even if you are going slow. If you have a lot of self control then you will be fine on the 1200 RS, it may test your discipline but so would the 765 RS. Get yourself on an advanced rider course, it is well worth it and get them to advise you on your riding! Let me know what you decide to do! 😁👍

I've had my street triple RS since March and the Super corsas have been excellent but as I intend to ride my bike through the winter I'm changing to Pirelli Rosso 4s as they're still sporty but have much better wet weather tread. re the fuel consumption my average has been a not great 37mpg.
Thanks for your feedback. I’m pleased to hear you are enjoying your Street Triple and it performs excellently in the wet. Please let me know what you think of your new tyres once you get them. I did read that the Rosso 4s have been designed so the front tyre displaces most of the water, which is interesting. That is low fuel consumption isn’t it, but I bet you’re having fun! 😁👍
I’ve a 2020 Street Triple RS. Latest tyres I’ve fitted are Michelin Road 6 which have been awesome in all weathers (and seem to be lasting way way better).
@@cp4512 they do get great reviews and would be hard to beat as a winter tyre but the one thing you sacrifice for extra long life is super stickiness in more extreme riding,
Have a street triple R, previous version. It was fitted with Pirelli Rosso 3. Great tire, also in lesser weather. For the new set I upgraded to Pirelli Rosso 4 and these tires seem to do even better. If I were to go for new ST RS I would have the Supercorsas changed to Pirelli Rosso 4 or similar tires right from the start. As I am not riding on a race track and in normal road conditions hitting a rain shower is sometimes unavoidable.
Thanks for your comment and feedback. Supercorsa’s are race tyre and not made for riding in all conditions, I’m pleased you get on well with the Rosso 4’s! 👍
I love the new street triple, I’d go for it over the new speed, especially in those colours! One thing I can’t get over, is those TFT displays are, Bloody awful. My speedy 1050 RS, is far better. Great vid.👍🏻

Thank you! I would personally buy the black version, the orange looks great but it’s not me. Let me know if you take the 765 RS out for a ride, it’s a fun bike, I think you would notice the difference in power!
@@stephencarbajal5657 I obviously noticed it was a hard ride but it didn’t bother me when whizzing around the country lanes, if I was doing really long journeys I might feel differently. Streets a better bike every day of the week. It outhandles the Speed. I rode the Speed RR as well and really wanted to love it but the street is way better handling and better in almost every department. I sold my Speed 1050 last week and I can't seem to stop wanting that new Street Triple to replace it, or the Moto2 version would be even better. I'm even thinking of replacing my Daytona track bike with this new Street triple.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I have a created a video about the Speed Triple 1209 RR and if I was comparing that bike with the 765 RS, I’d buy the Street Triple without a doubt. The Moto2 765 looks awesome doesn’t it, but those clip ons would kill my back! Thanks for watching! 😁👍
Indeed it was. They say buying a bike is an emotional decision don't they? 🙂I was actually on my way to buy a Z900 RS Yellow Ball but the Triumph was cheaper, lighter and more hp. My only 2 gripes are the dashboard and having to pull the clutch in to start it. Hopefully i can bypass that as i did on my previous bike but the salesman thought it may be connected to the ECU, so we will see.@@TheAdventuresofPhilJones
@@steveearnshaw720 I’m certain you won’t be disappointed with your purchase! 😁 You soon get used to pulling in the clutch before starting it, and play around with the layout options with the TFT to see what you prefer! Enjoy!! 😁👍
Why do you kill the engine noise with unwarrented music ?? Bad news Phil, man buns went out of fashion in the 80's-90's. 765 vs 1200.....but virtually nothing on the 1200 ?
Good review. . Yeh I tried both. . And at the end of the day for real world road riding the 765 edges it for value and performance per pound! So that's the one I went for!! But had to do the tail tidy etc!
The more i see this video, the more i hesitate between the street triple and the speed triple for daily commute and road trip after my 660 next year, i have to make a choice, can someone help me pls ! 😅
Nice comparison Phil. Both gorgeous bikes, both unfortunately a bit cramped in the leg for me. If I were smaller then the Street Triple would be the choice for me. Definitely still the bike of choice for Carol.
Thanks Richard. They are both lovely bikes and have pretty much the same electronics set up, so I agree, it really comes down to size, how it feels, and your budget. I’m pleased Carol still loves the Street Triple. I hope to see you at Motorcycle Live soon! 😁👍
Hi buddy, there was a news about triumph and Akrapovic have signed a deal to produce exhaust for the bikes. Will there be any exhaust for street triple rs? It might be a rumour
Hi mate. Yes, Triumph and Akrapovic have signed a deal and I’m sure they will release a new exhaust system for the 2023 765 RS soon. If I was you I’d have a word with your local Triumph dealer. Check out this article www.triumphmotorcycles.com.au/for-the-ride/news/corporate/triumph-and-akrapovic-2023-10-10
@@TheAdventuresofPhilJones I live in India. Even if I go to the local dealers they don’t have any idea. I also came across a video of a UA-camr “motobob” who was explaining the new 2024 tiger 900 models where he told about the Akra slipon for tiger 900 will be available from the dealers. Since street triple rs is now having one fully connected exhaust system the chances are less. Even if it happens that will cost a lot of money 💰
Hi Phil, nice video and both bikes are looking good. Which one you would recommend for the beginner (me) ? daily riding to work, out for road trip sometime. Thanks 🙏🏻
Sorry for my slow reply, I missed your comment come in. The Street Triple is the better bike for new riders out of these two but I agree with the other comment, The Trident makes a great first bike! 😁👍
lovely review that. Without riding either bikes I would go Street Triple for looks and price. Price: With the difference you could have the S.T 765 and could still buy an elderly GS 1200 LC too for ploughing through really shitty weather. Looks : I'm not keen on the Tubular bars that wrap around the front end of the 1200RS the 765 looks sleeker without them. Ideal world : You could be TMF and have all three.
Great machines Phil, I've owned 8 new Triumphs over the years from the T509, Speedfour, Streety's and Speeds, never had an issue with any of them. Nice review 👌

Pirelli angel gt2 a great all round tyre , Ross’a Corsa basically a track tyre ( need heat too perform their best ) I’d always prefer sports touring tyres on a road bike , get a lot more miles per pair too . No need for sports tyres on road , they useless in wet 🤷♂️😂sports touring on any roads bike will out perform any road rider , keep sports tyres for track days & racing 😎
Nice Review Phil!.. Thanks bro! I’m certainly trying my best to still have fun with bikes. I had to drop the XT500 in there! 🤪 Stay safe, catch you soon!
I went in to look at a moto2 but there was a Cosmic Yellow one sitting near it and it looked so much better. Cosmic came home with me 🙂
@@steveearnshaw720 Love at first sight, right! Congratulations!!!
Enjoy!! 😁👍
You'll never go wrong with a set of Michelin tyres ;)
I couldn’t agree more! 😁👍
Agreed!
Why do you kill the engine noise with unwarrented music ?? Bad news Phil, man buns went out of fashion in the 80's-90's. 765 vs 1200.....but virtually nothing on the 1200 ?
agree 100, especially when you have a triple set list 🔊🎶💪
Soo agree with you
Good review. . Yeh I tried both. . And at the end of the day for real world road riding the 765 edges it for value and performance per pound! So that's the one I went for!! But had to do the tail tidy etc!
Thank you! Congratulations on getting your 765 RS, I’m sure you will have a great life together! 😁👍
The more i see this video, the more i hesitate between the street triple and the speed triple for daily commute and road trip after my 660 next year, i have to make a choice, can someone help me pls ! 😅
It’s certainly not an easy decision that’s for sure! 😬
Fabulous Bikes.. Michelin Road 6 tyres are the best allrounders by far.
I have to agree in all honesty! 👍
@TheAdventuresofPhilJones Might do Phil, we've actually got press passes this year, so we may be there several days. Definitely there on the Monday
@@Banditmanukhow tall are you, bro?
@Kodreanu23 6ft 4 or 1.93m. But more to do with aging knees and hips at nearly 60.
@@Banditmanuk thanks for replying. I am 185, so I was worried bike would be cramped for me
Hi buddy, there was a news about triumph and Akrapovic have signed a deal to produce exhaust for the bikes.
@@TheAdventuresofPhilJones great news. I want to add a bit of sound to my new street triple rs
Hi Phil, nice video and both bikes are looking good.
Which one you would recommend for the beginner (me) ?
daily riding to work, out for road trip sometime.
Thanks 🙏🏻
Trident
Sorry for my slow reply, I missed your comment come in. The Street Triple is the better bike for new riders out of these two but I agree with the other comment, The Trident makes a great first bike! 😁👍
Phil Jones? The CB from Manchester United?
That’s the one! I decided I needed to do something more interesting in life! 🤪
lovely review that.
Thanks! I do like your thinking. I would love a winter bike and not worry about how dirty it gets but sadly I can’t see that happening for a while!
Good review mate … especially by showing riding and really life on road experience ❤
@@mktmtu1291 Thanks so much, I really appreciate it. I hope to get back on it again soon, it has been one of those years! 🤪
Great machines Phil, I've owned 8 new Triumphs over the years from the T509, Speedfour, Streety's and Speeds, never had an issue with any of them. Nice review 👌
Thank you. It sounds like you have had some awesome bikes over the years, do you ride now?
Yes, 2018 Street Triple R TFT, 1290 Superduke R, and Interceptor 650, so a bit of a mixture 😊 63 going on 18 😅
@@philliprobertlawman2232 What a collection, nice! 18 till I die is my attitude too! 🙏
Swap to Michelin Road 6..awesome all round tyres....
Yay, I’m pleased to hear it. Thanks for the feedback! 😁👍

Thanks for your kind comments, I’m pleased you are enjoying the videos. Good question, as they certainly can all vary. I’ve found that Bennett’s have worked for me and Bikesure can be competitive. MCN and others offer a Compare the market which is worth investigating! Good luck and keep me posted! 👍
HI PHIL
THANKS FOR A SPEEDY REPLY I ACTUALLY WENT ON TO COMPARE THE MARKET AND FOUND THAT HASTINGS CAME OUT ON TOP AND THAT WAS ON 5 DIFFERENT BIKES..CHEERS AGAIN WATCHING ONE OF YOURS WHEM YOU SHOW AJ HOW TO WASH HER BIKE..ATB NOBBY
Thanks for your feedback. You certainly can’t beat a good sports touring tyre that’s for sure! 😁👍
Damn how many freaking advertisements does UA-cam have to put?! I am going to start watching until the second ad and click away.
I feel your pain as I watch other videos too! 😩
@@TheAdventuresofPhilJones I want to support creators that are making good content but dang UA-cam makes it difficult! Lol
Nice Review Phil!.. Had my Carnival red Rs since July and love it, i can relate to it being a bit harsh of a ride at times, and skippy on some surfaces, i don't know if its me, but after doing over 1000miles im sure it feels that bit better now.!.. next year i will take the time to dial in the suspension being adjustable after all.. i cant really coment on the tyres in the wet as havent been caught out in nasty rain showers...
God, the new Speed in Carnival Red does look sexy though!..🤤😍
Hi Carlos. Thanks for watching and for your encouragement. Congratulations on getting an awesome bike, I’m pleased to hear that after doing 1,000 miles you agree with my comments. I’m sure you get used to the hard ride, it’s exactly the same on my besties 2011 675 R. It’s always worth considering having someone look at the suspension setup for you, please let me know how you get on! 😁👍
I just rolled over 1000 miles on my 24 Carnival Red.
The suspension has definitely softened a bit, thankfully.
@@TK-cl1jm Congratulations on getting your Street Triple, I’m pleased to hear the ride is a little softer but even with a hard ride I’m sure you love the bike! 😁👍
En France nous avons du champagne effectivemment , pas de motos :)
Great camera/video quality!
Your talent brought much to theses bikes!
I hope Triumph recognizes what you bring to their machines!!
Thanks for your kind comment and encouragement. I’ve created other videos where I’ve spent more time and effort creating quality content but it’s not always possible with time restraints. I like to think Triumph appreciates my efforts, I certainly am grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with them and at the same time share my honest opinions with you all! 😁👍
You nailed it!
While not always practical, thank you for your time and attention to detail.
The lens you see the world through and share with your viewers is appreciated!
C'mon now... You've got to throw a Indian FTR 1200 into the naked reviews.
I’ll add it to my list! 😁👍
765 - the street triple has got too much power.. looking for light and some hp but not a crazy amount..
Remember, you don’t have to use all the power. If you like the look of a bike, and it suits your style of riding, then it could be worth considering. The Street Triple is a great bike for riders at all levels and experience.
@@TheAdventuresofPhilJones got my motorbike license around 29 years ago and actually there's no such thing as "you don't have to use all the power".. :D
@@dernicolas6281 I appreciate you sharing but I don’t fully understand why you think that. When I test rode the Panigale V4S I didn’t get close to using the full power but still had an amazing ride. I’m not being awkward, just trying to understand your point. Thanks again for watching and commenting! 😁
@@TheAdventuresofPhilJones One tends to use all the power far too often if it's available. At least that's my experience. So I'm feeling comfy around 100bhp. Happy you can dose that properly, I probably can't.
Awesome review Phil and very informative, both stunning bikes 👌
Thank you, Emma, and I have to agree they are both amazing bikes. The Street Triple has been a popular choice for women riders too, it’s certainly worth considering! 😁
This video is hard to watch. All Street3 no Speed3.
Neither fits me very well, but I love them both. Especially the new colors on the street. 👍🤪🏳️🌈
That’s a shame, is it the height of the bikes you struggle with? Those new colours are very popular, I’m pleased Triumph listened to their customers and created a bigger choice, despite me always loving black! 🤣
Well done, ignoring the man bun.
😅
That’s probably best! 🤪
765 rs too smal feeling😫
😂😂😂
Why o why on this green earth would you overlay this trivial power chord drivel over th intoxicating sound of the lucious triple mill..??!! Who does that..?? This video is unwatchable.
I'd like to think there's a good balance of music and engine sound but hey, what do I know!
You bulls--hit too much in your videos
Couldn't watch it, poor audio content and loud music!!
I hold my hands up and say the audio isn’t great quality towards the end, unfortunately but it’s not that bad is it! 😩
@@TheAdventuresofPhilJones Maybe put a freeze on the music and concentrate on content that potentially owners want to know...
Take no notice Phil sounds quality is fine
Very boring and strung out review
I’m sorry it wasn’t for you!
I throughly enjoyed the video 😊
@cp4512 I thought maybe I missed something so I watched the video again , nope it still sucks . Where was the comparison?? No back to back riding , no dialog while riding (first impressions,.emotions, likes , dislikes ect...he didn't even ride the 1200 . No power ro weight comparison, no equipment comparison, rider positions , fuel capacity, wet weights, service intervals, pricing ? I can go on And on .
