For the record, Xperia 1 mk2 and Xperia 5 mk2 both have the jack, and they cost about $800 And also LG V60 that costs even less but still is a flagship

But feel for half the price you can turn their cheaper phones(i still can't remember their names) into streaming equipment too. You just need to be nerdy enough to tweak a few things and i expect a cameraman or anyone in this field to have the sufficient knowledge to make use of it. I do appreciate the convenience of it being baked into the software though

That's a remarkably low wattage charger though. I've had double that for almost a decade... No excuse for it to not at the very least be 35w, especially with phones getting larger batteries.
Would I ever use a phone like this? Absolutely! I love Sony. I used to have a Z1 Compact which was my favorite phone! The photos it took were fantastic! The control you got with the camera software was top notch. Also their battery saving mode was (at the time) unbeatable. With the power saving mode you'd get hours of battery life on a low charge. Such good times. Hearing you say that this would act as a 2nd screen for a DSLR ignites my passion for photography again. But as you said, the people this phone was made for are all being professionals while I'm watching this video. Weird. I almost felt alive for a second.
I get that this phone is made for a really, really specific people, but look at it this way, every big youtuber finally made a video about Sony, I've been using Xperia phones exclusively for last 8 years, and I'm waiting on Xperia 1 MK3. I love that Sony makes it different 💕
Im using x10 mark 2 altough it was a bit dated in terms of storage capacity i actually enjoy it especially when playing music with their headphones lol

HDMI input as a general feature on high end phones would be so awesome. You could just plug it in to a Raspberry Pi or other generally screen-less device and get a video feed. Could be really neat in some situations.

As I watched, Sony Xperia series their screen comes off first. Then you go inside. I think that's a plus. People found some Pixels easy to repair becuase of that.

The design, the features, dual sim, headphone jack, no need to search a bumper because it already is a bumper, some extrafeatures like the buttons, just perfection. No rocking side to side from a massive camerabump. Nothing said about the batery but it should be at least 4500 mAh judging by the size of the phone. Very impressive

Well said. i never believe it could be real until i tried it and it puts smile on my face. in the middle of last year, with everything that was happening in state, i was unable to cope with my work with the fear of covid19 pandemic. i want to be safe and also want my family to be safe too but. should i say staying home at this period of the pandemic has really helped me a lot with the help of a sincere broker name Karen Asnin Whitby who has helped me to invest my money and i got huge amount in return.

Sony's HDMI input. Output is not for professional use. They use Input to use it as monitor.
I know it's an input, not an output, I was just remembering the earlier days of Android phones when everyone was trying something different. HDMI out on my Droid X, HTC with thier 3D stuff, Samsung with a built in projector, crazy times! I miss 'em.

The design, the features, dual sim, headphone jack, no need to search a bumper because it already is a bumper, some extrafeatures like the buttons, just perfection. No rocking side to side from a massive camerabump. Nothing said about the batery but it should be at least 4500 mAh judging by the size of the phone. Very impressive
