Excellent Lab Work, there is no doubt about that...it is beautiful. But, there is a problem, and it lays at the patients, and dentists feet; and that is the problem of overloading four (4) implants to support fourteen (14) teeth. There are no four implants that can take this type of occlusal load due to their location. If there were two (2) perfect implants in the #6 and #11 areas, then there might be a chance for success. But with the location of these four (4) implants, limited to the posterior region, I doubt that this wonderfully done bridge will last for any length of time. Your presentation was great, but we clinical doctors need to see an in the mouth photograph, as well as some well done x-rays of these implants, both before the bridge placement, and then after the bridge in torqued into place. The proof of the pudding is in the complete, in the mouth clinical information.
What can you do? Two bridges with attachments and a removable partial. Who is going to absorb the loss of money when one of these implants fail because of over-stressing them. When do you let patient dictate bad treatment. Excellent lab work doesn’t make up for bad treatment planning. Dr. Kelly
