I am so glad to hear your dad is now capable of tying his shoes. Just remember its one step at a time. On a serious note I'm sorry for Davids loss, it's always tough to lose a mom or a dad. I am sorry for youre loss, we lost our dad a view years ago and still missing the man , but life goes on and some of us are blessed whit good neigbours, thanks and greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer

As soon as I heard the crack in your voice it hit home and I cried for you. Like you my parents and I were very close. It’s so heart crushing when it happens. I hope the pain lessens as time goes on. The next chapter for me is that now I have terminal cancer. I hate the fact that my passing will cause my kids pain, but at least I will be with my parents and sister again in heaven.

My condolences to both of your parents Dave my Dad just passed away in October of this year he was a farmer and a business owner and he taught me a lot since I was 5 years old keep your head high and God bless u and your family

I miss these days! Dad ran a grain elevator and I worked in it growing up.
I went on a custom harvest group for a couple of years. It's was some long days and short nights but I loved it.

David;i don't know exactly how you're feeling but I know how I felt when I lost my last parent. My dad always told me it was rough when you lost the first one but you hammer through but when you lost the last it feels like you're gut kicked and I was! Seems like you are too. How does the combine separate the corn kernels from the stock and the hull?
Also do you guys use the stocks to feed livestock or leave it as nutrients and ground cover
