Besides the blade and awl, there is even third tool, which is beefier version than found in red Celedor line SAK's, namely the flathead screwdriver/cap lifter.

That's a nice knife for someone who wants a sensible EDC tool kit without going the multi-tool route. Victorinox has a great selection that will give you whatever you think you require in your daily life. I've been carrying a 3" blade in my pocket my whole life, but I have a Victorinox Huntsman in my desk at the office! Nice review

“Armored Huntsman” good description, my first knife was a1973 Huntsman.
Before they finally brought out the Farmer X I was looking for a good modder
to create one. But like they say be careful what you wish for, now I have to
choose which one to carry. They both have there advantages. I recently got
some alox replacement plus scales for a Huntsman to make it more durable.
By the way have you compared the the cap lifter screwdriver on the two knives ?

Yes I have compared them actually! And turns out the Farmer X does have a heftier bottle cap lifter if you were wondering! Thanks for watching man! 😎🤝

@@AbuHajarAlBugatti Yes the Farmer X is definitely stronger built and the awl is a better design.
With the Huntsman you get a few more tools and i believe it’s lighter weight, if weight is a concern.
I like the emergency fire kit they make for the corkscrew.

Yeah Its fine but I noticed that I only used the corky twice in ten years. For that occasion ill take a nice wooden scaled one with me or my Friedrich Hartkopf Picnic knife with red wood bubinga scales and a fork on it. But its expensive.
Also thought a lot if I would ever need the mini firekit. Decided rationally No, and bought a 100 pcs box of bic lighters instead and always keep some in the car

May I suggest including the Victorinox EVOLUTION S17 GRIP in your comparison. The knife is slightly shorter (88mm vs 91mm )and not as robust as the alox version, but it offers a locking blade.
Unfortunately it also lacks the pin and cannot be upgraded to plus scales... Victorinox seem determined not to build the perfect EDC SAK.
