Just quit on rusty he’s done
214k miles on rusty....time to send it to the crusher. If you don't want to spend $250 on a battery, you won't want to spend money on fixing the check engine lights, which will eventually come back on because you never fixed the issue causing them. Unhooking the battery is not the way lol

no un hooking the battery doesn’t do a thing
When the battery died it reset the computer so that might of been a blessing in disguise
If you disconnect the battery it will clear the warnings but they’ll come back on after a bit of driving

Here’s something you can do. Measure the battery and then disconnect the battery for a week. If you come back after a week, and the battery has lost charge, the battery is bad. If it still has charge, you will know something is draining the battery in Rusty. I’m wondering if that panel you just replaced is draining your battery somehow.
Exact same thing happened to me in my Caravan. More than once. Drove mine forever with the engine light on. Caravans are high maintenance unfortunately. Got a lot of use out of mine but finally gave in and donated it to charity.
I once saw a tow truck pulling a car where they forgot to disengage the parking brakes. And all I saw was smoke coming out of the towed vehicle. Not sure if there was a fire yet, but it would have been very close to doing so.
If Rusty's battery isn't holding a charge he needs a new battery. But Rusty is done, time for a Hybrid Van maybe?
When you unplug the battery for a certain amount of time, usually 20min, it resets the ECU and clears the fault codes. A code reader can do the same thing without unplugging the battery. The car then will "look" for faults over the next 50 miles, or like 90km. After that time, it will pick up on those same faults if not fixed. Usually, on startup the next day, or while driving

My mom’s old vehicle had the same problem it was a GMC Terrain it ended up being an electrical problem. If that’s the case with Rusty it’s way too expensive to fix.
I have the same van my engine light comes on and low key battery and need oil change and gas cap open lol lol we have fixed all of these and they still come on lol We gave up and just drive it!!
Every time a walk around the house barefoot I stub my toes.

Just for kicks, see if you can get the battery warrantied at Canadian Tire. i used to be a parts clerk at a store in St. Catharines, and it looks like a motomaster battery. You do need the paper work for it from when you initially bought it, or you need to know the phone number on the account that you purchased it on, given that you put the battery in. but if it keeps draining, they shouldnt give you an issue. Sometimes they like to say they want to diagnose the vehicle first to make sure its not a parasitic draw, but that can vary store to store- I know we would generally warranty it no questions asked. If you bought it within the past 3-5 years you should be good- it has a manufacture code of 2020 on the top case, so I can only imagine that it would've been replaced within that time frame. Does your radio system work? It might be pulling battery which is causing you issues. On my old VW it happened to me and when I unplugged it completely it fixed the issue.

Three strikes with more likely to come. Time to send Rusty to the great beyond. Your computer scans the system looking for problems. Disconnecting the battery is like putting a towel over a sink full of dishes. You can’t see the dishes but they are still there.

Get scanner for your mini van what you want is to id the trouble code letter a-z with a number then it will tell you but you can try with it just erasing the codes. Dead-low batteries trips codes . Computers. Ob diagnostic port under the steering wheel theirs plug go by your local auto part store ask for scan tool help locate it plug in follow instructions but try erasing the codes or have them scan your van for trouble codes try erasing them first. usually it’s a ghost code false due to dead battery usually by erasing them re sets them. go drive rusty around for about an hour see if the van 🚐 re introduces the trouble code may be just age
