So i have a 08 5.7 hemi ram 1500, thinking about doing a hp70 swap and was wondering if i can use my stock 545rfe transfer case? I think that would make life easier... im currently building a twin turbo 392 71 demon with the hp90 swap and a sound german auto trans controller. Would i need the same trans controller for the ram too?
Yes, when using the HP70, HP75, RFE845, RFE850 all truck transmissions, I know that they will work. Now when using a JL/JT 850 transmission I'm not sure, i think you will need a Advance Adapters adapter
@@Flynnster70 There is one problem i forgot to add, we can not do a 8 speed swap on a 3.8L because of the bell-housing and the crank sensor in the bell-housing..
Hey Todd, following this very closely. My 2020 Gladiator is less than a 100 miles from the factory warranty being expired. So...have a couple questions. My Gladiator, being a 2020 has the flat engine mounts, not the JK style. Any idea how your thinking to handle that? Should I look at 392JL mounts? JSS weld in mounts? I'm going to start looking for a motor and trans. I want a 6.4L in my Gladiator. I assume I'd be looking for a car 6.4L? Is that correct? Then an 8hp75 out of a Ram 4x4? Or can I use a truck 6.4L?
I am following closely too Harold. I cannot wait until a Gladiator build is ready, I dont have a Gladiator yet as im waiting for prices to go back down. It would be a dream to have a HEMI Gladiator!!!
Hey Harold, Well here is my take on this. The JL/JT is very complicated the frames are different from year to year, Jeep also has many different engines and setups like E Torque non E Torque, Diesel, 3.6L, electric. So this is hard to build a kit and have everything work. So we are going to give it a try and share it all and what we find, I don't think we need to build a kit but we are going to work on the computer part and i think on the engine mounts we might do our weld in mounts and modify. While the JL 392 is new and under warranty parts should be resealable. So i think the 5.7L and the 6.4L should work fine. Well i know this will work just don't know what it is going to take.
This is awesome as usual Todd.
Thanks, working on it.

I would do the same thing with the truck as your car.
So you have to delete your power steering with the 6.4? Do you have to with 5.7 also?
We need to get back to this project, I'm just setting it up like our Hemi JKs. We are using the same stuff on our JL as we use on our JKs
Does the hemi and 8 speed bolt up without mods if I have an Atlas transfer case ?

@Jeep Speed Shop thank you, I hope to do the 8 speed first for my 09 jku then do the hemi

@Jeep Speed Shop well guess that means I'll have to do it all at once, thank you for that info!
