    This is super useful for me personally, come springtime (no pun intended) I'm ordering a 2 door rubicon, and am looking to do a very similar build to this one. I have also noticed the same thing while looking up parts that finding things for the 2 door is a lot more difficult, which sucks, because while I get the appeal of the four door, it's length definitely makes it a compromise in off road maneuverability.

    Baxter doesn’t seem to be interested in working today. Looks like he’d rather hang out on Dad’s lap.

    Hopefully you enjoy the Synergy coils. I've been running them in my JL for the past 2 years, and they've been fantastic... but I only do 1/3 of the stuff you tackle lol 😆

    The different spring rate/length is for the gas tank to reduce the 'JK lean' of old.

    They sell retaining kits for the rear springs so they don't pop out.

    If you wanted the perfect coil, you should’ve went with an airbag…

    I have Skyjacker TJ long travel springs in the front of my XJ and they've been fantastic for adding downward travel without a ton of ride height

    Thanks Fred that was extremely helpful. I know what to consider now when buying my springs.

    hey fred have you had issues with progressive metal cloak springs making noise when u compress it fast? almost like there might be the metal binding against the coil itself. 15 jku 3.5 metal cloak lift

    I currently have the Mopar 2 inch on my JL. It's worked great. After taking out the rear seat, I have a storage system and tools I carry around alot in the back. I'm getting a little sag in the back. I'd like to stiffen it up. I had hoped I could use JLU Mopar rear springs but best I could tell, it's all the same. Maybe the brand you found is my answer, or maybe a spacer?

    Rugged ridge also makes high-like fenders which look stock but offer a lot more clearance and LED light strip.

    AEV 2.5 inch for a 2dr, corner specific, triple rate, frequency tuned, just shy of 3 inches with bumpers and all the add ons.

    @ewaschuk802 Рік тому

    Yeah, and even some ‘big’ companies don’t offer corner specific coils which are 100% needed 😒

    I had a company make coil springs for my JK pickup, they specialized in handicap vans and limousines. Got the height and load capacity without guessing. Maybe something to look at in the future

    i was just thinking about coil springs!!!! I have a stock gladiator sport, want to level it or give a small 2" lift. Id rather get longer springs than spacers.

  • @americonoffroadadventures8132

    Great information. Very helpful. Thanks Fred

    We actually just put a mopar 2" lift that was on our JLU for about 8 months and stuck it on the JL over the weekend. It is definitely a little stiffer ride, but not terrible. We have considered changing them out ao good to see someone else having the same thoughts.

    thanks for the vid. have you seen the Rancho 2 door specific coils yet? i'm considering those as the current ones i'm running are way too harsh.

    Quadratec has a stock looking fender that’s taller than even the rubicon fender and uses the stock marker lights

    • @AustinH7
      @AustinH7 Рік тому +1

      I don’t get why the JK never got fenders like those. I love the stock look but want them mounted higher like the quadratec ones. The Mopar high tops are ridiculously expensive so I don’t even consider those an option
