Hello yes I had to remove the sunroof, so you open it , it has some plastic covering the bolts of it to the rail, I think like 3-4 on each side then you slide it back as far as it goes, so that you can drill the hole out completely flush to the metal then get a pipe that will fit that exact hole they sale them at ace hardware then cut them to fit in so that you could still have an angle to the drain hose, and weld it from the sunroof side , hope this helps a bit on the process 😉
Hello sorry the customer needed the car fast and I wasnt able to record the part two, but I can tell you if your drain happen the same things drill out the hole completely, and get a pipe that fits the hole and weld it from the glass side not under by airbag.
how did you get to the clip and release at 55:08 everything else done... it magically pops down ... cannot get to this clip without creasing the headlining
Hello yes just get you hand in there and push down , or the other things you can try its to slide the headliner back it may come off. But don't be afraid of bending the headliner it will get its shape again
Trust me he was, he only takes it to the dealership and that the solution they gave him because it was very fresh the silicone, but not only that the estimate they gave him was over 11k and a part that he didn't need which it was the sunroof rails, which it has nothing to do with the drain pan at all. Lol
Hello yes I try 2 method, I just wasn't able to record it, on one side I did something similar but it just didn't give me the confidence that the rusty material that stays will keep giving out, on the other side I drill the hole out completely and got a bigger pipe to fit and weld it in place that was way better, both didn't leak.
Many thanks!!! This was a life saver!! I fixed my drains on my 2013
I'm glad I was able to help you.

I would be pissed to find that repair if I was the customer.

You are welcome, yes taking the headliner its the most time consuming good luck.
