I've been having this issue with my 2008 Sport HSE, definitely going to come back to this when I replace the seal, thanks for making this video so in depth and clear to understand.
First, I want to say this is an awesome video and very helpful but I just want to ask did anybody still have leaking in the same spot after putting the seal? I know before you fully tighten the screw it does have play an I don’t know if there’s supposed to be a sweet spot so the seal doesn’t stick to up or to down. Im pretty sure it was flush with the roof. If anybody ran into the issue were you still were leaking please let me know what you did to fix the problem. Plz thank you.
Thanks for video! I have a same problem, and now I am waiting for a new gasket to change. I want to ask you something different. I have an automatic trunk and I can open from button inside and from key, but I can’t open from button on the trunk! Do you know what is the reason?
Thank you so much for helping me change the seal on the roof my brother god bless you for your really detailed explaining it really helped me a lot thank you again
Absolutely great video!! Could you put a link to the parts you purchased please?? Might have to take care of this soon myself. Thanks for sharing this!!
Thank you! I went through the car wash today and almost took a second shower! I bought the part and the lubricant you suggested and will be tackling this shortly.
Wow, I’m glad that you found the video helpful. Btw that lubricant it’s not really a lubricant originally. It’s a great conditioner for rubber, water strips. Door gaskets. It’s water based. After that the rubber becomes softer and has a nice black color. I even use it on the black plastic trims. I just used it as a lubricant. Made in Germany.
In the rain time you'll be dry! It is very nice. Thank you👍👍

I’ve found that even after a seal replacement The seal allows a few drops entering when it’s raining. So probably all of it is a part of the design.
I hate sunroofs with a passion…. I have eliminated every single one from my Rovers……
Very helpful video! Thank you!
