Eh no honestly hot take but Chapter 1 was pretty lame compared to Chapter 2. Fortnite didn't get really good til then. It was kinda just ok for the most part in Chapter 1
Really nice to see these old battle passes again. Some good, great, sad and fun memories from those times. It does also make me realize how Fortnite used to have a lot more original skins and less collab based skins which make up 90% of the store now. (950 Vbucks is about 10$)
They still make plenty of original skins, most of the skins they release these days seems to be original with collabs sprinkled in. Same with the battle passes, largely original, with only 1 or 2 collabs. But because they're Collabs, everyone ignores the original stuff and only cares about the collabs making it seem like they're the only ones there. In any case, it does seem like they're slowing down a little since these past 2 seasons I think there have been less collabs.
What's good about new Fortnite I'm not hating but I say this with confusion what's good about these new seasons? Cause nothing is really good anymore the battlepass is kinda dumb the season hasn't really had anything new and they just do constant collabs I don't see anything fun or worth playing for in the skin survey they'res cool ass skins but they fail to bring those skins in than the basic other ones

I don’t remember if it was always like this but a really good part of the Fortnite battle pass is that you get more V-bucks from battle pass than you used to buy it So as long as you make it far enough into the battle pass you’ll be making a profit

Im so upset I didnt finish the Cubed Battle Pas cause Carnage was tier 100! The game, during Chapter 2 became very... enraging for me. I ended up abandoning it, trying to get back in every new season but never could. A friend of mine returned to the game during Chapter 3 Season 2, essentially dragging us all back and we have completed every Battle Pass since Chap 3, Season 2. Already done the current pass.
Alright whatever, lets do some battlepass "lore"... LOL. ( take everything I say with a grain of salt) Battlepasses have been around for a while but this specific design has been popularized by fortnite, now almost all "live service" games have one, including Call of Duty and Overwatch 2. The original Fortnite was a PvE Co Op game with loot, the game was filled with lootboxes that were very popular at that time, but I guess Epic predicted the fall of lootboxes and switched to an ingame shop along with a 10dollar battlepass. The good: The battlepass has the advantage of giving players insane amount of value. The equivilant of like 100 dollars in skins and cosmetics. On top of that it gives your money back if you complete it. It comes along with actual fun challenges like looking for golf or basketball hoops and getting a score, or solving mysteries and puzzles. The mixed: You have around 2,5 months to get the BP to 100 levels. If you havent you either lose the later rewards even though you paid for the pass or you have to spend more real money. This way they make sure you come back and play at least every other day. For some people that is good motivation and adds progression to spending time in the game. The bad: The main issue is that while battlepasses are great, now they are everywhere and unless you only play a single game that has it, it starts feeling like a chore. Fomo or Fear Of Missing Out is the main tactic they use in many cases to "motivate" your spending habbits. Still they are much better to lootboxes by a long shot.
Thanks for educating us on Battle Passes. it does seems like it’s a great way to get people playing the game constantly due to the “sunken cost/investment” feeling. 🤑

I was always been kind of on the fence about fortnite. I was never willing to give it a shot. Until I saw how they kept adding spice to their game every battle pass, And I have to admit I hopped in because Vibin was actually vibin. Hence forth, I have called it season of the vibes and it's my favorite and first season I have played thoroughly. And this season is no different it feels great.
