Loyal Subjects is a company that specializes in creating collectible vinyl figures and other merchandise based on popular franchises. They are known for their highly detailed and stylized designs, often featuring characters from movies, television shows, video games, and comics.
The company was founded in 2009 by Jonathan Cathey, who aimed to create unique and high-quality collectibles that appealed to both casual fans and dedicated collectors. Loyal Subjects gained popularity for their "Action Vinyls" line, which are 3-inch poseable figures featuring various characters.
Loyal Subjects has collaborated with numerous well-known franchises, including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Masters of the Universe, Power Rangers, WWE, Transformers, and many more.
In addition to vinyl figures, Loyal Subjects also produces other merchandise such as apparel, accessories, and home decor items. They have expanded their product range over the years while maintaining their focus on delivering unique and visually appealing collectibles for fans of all ages.
Loyal Subjects' TMNT offerings have included their popular "Action Vinyls" line, which features 3-inch poseable figures of the TMNT characters. These figures often come in blind box assortments, allowing fans to collect and trade different characters from the TMNT universe.
Additionally, Loyal Subjects has released larger-scale TMNT figures with more detail and articulation, such as their "Supreme Edition" figures.
Krang is a fictional character in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise. He is primarily known as one of the main antagonists in the TMNT universe. Krang first appeared in the animated TV series in the 1980s and has since become a recurring character in various iterations of the franchise, including comic books, video games, and movies.
Krang is an alien warlord from Dimension X, a parallel dimension in the TMNT universe. He resembles a pink brain-like creature with tentacles and is often depicted residing inside a robotic exosuit called a "android body" or "technodrome." The exosuit provides Krang with mobility and combat capabilities.
Krang is characterized as an incredibly intelligent and manipulative villain. He seeks to conquer Earth and other dimensions, often aligning himself with other villains like Shredder, the primary antagonist of the TMNT. Krang is known for his strategic planning, advanced technology, and his desire to obtain powerful artifacts and weapons.
In the original animated series, Krang is portrayed as the ruler of Dimension X, who allies with Shredder to take over Earth. However, different adaptations of the TMNT franchise may portray Krang and his backstory with slight variations.
The Krang android body, also known as the Krangdroid, is a mechanical exosuit that the character Krang from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise utilizes. Krang, being an alien brain-like creature from Dimension X, requires a mobile platform to interact with the world.
The android body is a large, humanoid robot suit that serves as Krang's physical form. It is often depicted as a towering, heavily armed and armored robot, with various technological features and capabilities. The design of the android body can differ slightly between different iterations of the TMNT franchise, but it generally features a hulking appearance with an exposed brain-like head protruding from the chest area.
The android body grants Krang enhanced strength, durability, and combat abilities, allowing him to engage in battles against the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other adversaries. It also houses advanced technology and weapons that Krang can employ in his schemes for conquest.

Nice Krang impression 👌🏽 😄
Thank you very much!
I feel like this is the best figure this company has done yet.
I picked one of these up last month and I love him! He looks so happy to be cruising around in his Android body.
Loyal Subjects have really been stepping up their game!
The new Tokka and Rahzar figures specifically look really good!
Yes! I really want to get my hands on them!
To me, this is the ideal Krang. Not as big as the 1991, but it's a good size, the price is reasonable, and the scale fits well with almost any series.
From all you have shown, this one is the best looking imo.
It’s so good!
The wings he had in Turtles in Time should be a standard inclusion with all Krangs, should be a fairly simple accessory to tool and that wingspan would give him a *lot* more shelf presence. And yet, no one ever makes those.
Oh that’s a great idea! Maybe someone should make a custom
That's a perfect size for vintage tmnt figures... love it... need it...
Loyal Subjects have got the sculpt down, now they just need to hire someone to show them how articulation works on nearly every other toyline out there.
Oh man. It is a struggle sometimes
Lack of great articulation actually works well with the krang android body since it never articulates a whole lot in the show
@@dannyk1980 oh the articulation is mostly fine, it's just absolutely hideous. Nobody does elbows like that. Closest thing I've seen that is that unsightly is Bandai's Dragon Stars line with the way they do knees. Just an ugly bar that connects the upper and lower parts of the legs.
That's very true.
He Dan, I've heard word that Stern is going to do a MOTU themed pinball machine.
I just thought I'd give you a heads-up so you can make sure to have the necessary funds if you're interested in owning one.
Haha. That sounds like a lot of funds!
Its cool to see Cerebral pop up for comparison time! This figure is fun for what it is. I'm really interest in how their XL idw Slash will turn out.
So am I! I really love this Krang!
Been wanting a Krang's Android Body fig since I read an old article on Matt Of Dinosaur Dracula's old site, X-Entertainment. Honestly, I love it, though Krang doesn't exactly stay on his oval peg inside the body all that well
The only thing missing on this figure is a button to a small speaker inside which plays some of Pat Fraley's quotes as Krang!
Great review! Thank you!
And I just realised how much the Vintage Krang's face resembles that of the Pickle Alien from Venus from the 1950s movie, "It Conquered the World" . . . only with smaller teeth.
Great Krang Impersonation Dan !! 👍
Wow great review I’m still considering picking this guy up I don’t have any of loyal subjects figures yet but this Krang looks cool so he could be the first.
He’s really well produced! Loyal Subjects has a lot of great figures coming up!
Glad your finally doing the BST Figures. I love Krang's shoulder pads shiny compared to the 1994 original figure. Please do Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady, and Slash.
Yea me too! You’re a fan of the BST AXN?
@@Pixel-dan Yes! It's fun collecting all versions if the original Ninja Turtles and Compare them with eachother.
That’s so awesome to hear! Glad you’re enjoying them!
@@Pixel-dan got the Original Figures, NECA, BST, Super 7, Funko, and Megabloks.
All of them!? Or just some from each line?
I generally think BST figures look kind of terrible, but this seems to be an exception. I may grab this to go with my Super7 figures, since at this point I doubt that they are going to get around to an Android Body Krang (and if they did they may end up doing something dumb like going for a huge one that costs $500, with no option for a regular sized one). I had the small Android Body Krang when I was a kid and he was one of my favorite figures, in addition to the Walker Krang.
I think they’re getting better
Those arm joints 😂😂😂😂
BST AXN = "Best Action"
Yep!
The Krang itself inside looks amazing, can't wait for the IDW loyal subjects line. I pre-ordered mine the other day!
Nice! I want my hands on those too!
0:49 bruh that Made me giggle 💀😂
The truth is that this Krang is quite good aesthetically, but those double joints and the unnecessary movements that they put on his biceps 💪🏻 and horrible lonhaven thighs, I prefer the Android Body Krang vintage playmates and Neca Cartoon, greetings 👏🏻🇦🇷
I just bought the arcade version of this and I love it
Awesome! Love those!
I love this figure, I’m doing a weird mix for my toon TMNT collection, so far BSTAXN ,NECA , and Super 7 figures all mixed together lol
That sounds fantastic I’d love to see photos
THAT TOTALLY FANTASTIC NEW KRANG FIGURE HAS FULL OF POSSIBILITIES, HIGHLY DETAILED VERY WELL, AND PLENTY ACCESSORIES INCLUDED! I 😍IT A LOT! THANKS PIXEL DAN ONCE AGAIN FOR SHARING!
Liked it so much you went all caps. I love it
@@Pixel-dan HA! HA! TOTALLY AWESOME!!!
This is such a special character, interpretation and figure to me. Great show case as usual, pixel dan!
THank you so much!
@@Pixel-dan hey, no problemo! I ve been watching your work for a looong time, now. Relly great stuff! Hoping for that ultimate tmnt book project by you
Yeah, if I was going to pick up just one of the krangs, it would be this one. 👍
Really? That’s awesome
The Loyal Subjects (TLS) started out as a Designer for Urban Vinyl Toys. They pretty much evolve into making their own style of toys.
Great review and an impressive Kraang collection. Good on yeah, sir. 🙌
Yea the rise of TLS has been a fun one to watch!
@@Pixel-dan, I never own any of their product, but I met their founder Jonathan Cathey years ago visiting the Philippines a a decade ago.
Oh that's cool!
Maybe I should check this guy out! I have the original four turtles that TLS put out with this line, and I kinda gave up on them because the joints, specifically on Raph and Donnie, were super loose. Glad to see that seems to have changed with Krang!
I think the new wave from them will be loved by fans
Amazing review Dan!! I think if you really wanted to he could fit in with playmates tmnt figs I might do that now
Awesome! I think you might be right
Based on your collection, you think this Krang is the best scaled compared to basic Turtles figs amongst the android body versions?
Oh that’s a good question! Possibly! What do you think?
@@Pixel-dan from what i saw in your vid, i'd say it depends on the preferred look.... if you're a fan of the more animated look, the NECA is best. If more of the high-tech look i'd say the Loyal Subjects one
THat's a great point!
Great review as always Dan! 👏
Thanks so much! Did you get the Krang?
@@Pixel-dan Not yet but planning on it!
Awesome! I hope you enjoy it!
Was the third party Krang shown in the video a crowd funded project? What brand produced it or how can I find out more about that figure, it looks good? Great review, as always! I have the first Krang on walker that BST AXN did, I think I need to order this one now.
I think the one behind the neca version was the one that big bad toy store was selling some years back. It was sort of expensive for its time.
Would this guy fit in with Classics?
I think he kind of does.
Forgot to add the mega blocks Krang android body. I can't wait to get him, April I think they did slash too.
Oh yes!
Hello, Dan!
Wouldn't you make a video (a mini-doc) about the today's state of TMNT toy licensing?
On one hand, lots of people tend to claim that nowadays it is THE golden age of Ninja Turtles toys collecting (especially action figures), but on the other hand the situation may come across to many as at least a little bit overwhelming, if not outright confusing and intimidating.
As far as I can remember, toymaker companies like Neca, Super7, Playmates (who probably still hold the master licence), the Loyal Subjects, Heat Boys, Bandai/Tamashii Nations (S.H. Figuarts), and maybe also Kaiyodo/Revoltech, .... !!!UFFFF!!! .... , all possess rights to produce and sell TMNT toys at the same time which is just insane and beyond comparison.
It is crazy how many people have licenses to make tmnt. And how well each one is doing at it!
@@Pixel-dan
Yeah, it can easily get pretty hard on the wallet. 😀 + 😞
Oh yes! You are so right!
I don't think that Bandai has made any in quite a long time.. probably more than 5 years? I think Revoltech only did the 2012 TMNT figures.
@@captain_zed
OK, thanks. I wasn't sure. That's why some "clarifying" video would come in handy. 🙂
I wish the sculpts in this line were better, because this would be the "TMNT" line for me.
Have you seeen the new stuff?
PixelKrang quoting Wow Shredder! How dare you!
I did actually get the video game version of this to fit over my turtles in Time arcade cabinets
DId you get it?!
@@Pixel-dan I got the exclusive video game version of this toy
It is a nice figure. I have the video game variant which is a color variant but works entirely the same
Yea I love that one
So out of every Krang figure we have now which one would you say is your personal favorite?
Oh man. I need some time and maybe some thoughts. Which one is your favorite?
@@Pixel-dan Personally the Neca figure gives me the most nostalgia when I look at it so i'd have to say that one
I get that
Excellent video thanks
That's a nice figure. I've had to pass on the Loyal Subjects figures as there are just too many Turtle figures coming out right now. How did we survive as kids in the 80s/90s with only 8-12 Turtle figs and 5-6 vehicles per year?
nice review *plays his theme from arcade or the gameboy games*
Thanks for the comment! It’s really a great figure!
you should review more of these!
You think so?
@@Pixel-dan for sure all of these recent TMNT videos have been all so amazing and nonstalgic for me. It reminds me of when you would review the 2012 tmnt figures!
Cool, is always mi Favorit 👍🏼
This one looks very good.
I think so too!
As far as tmnt goes loyal subjects has done good 👍 👌 👏
Yes they have!
I wonder if the Super7 Krang will fit in the cockpit. Who knows if they'll ever make the android body...
Interesting…
Well sculpted. I just never was a big fan of the fleshy android suit. I prefer the more mechanical utrom bodies.
I get that
How does the Krang figure compare to the Super7 Krang?
theres a super 7 figure of him???
@@rinkyylabzz4741 just Krang in the Bubble Walker
I wish they panel lined the android body to bring out the detail.
Oh? Not a bad thought
Are you gonna bring these to Retropalooza? Hey Dan, if I bring my Toys of He-man book to RP, will you sign it for me? :)
Yes please bring it!
I bought Michelangelo from this BST AXN-line. I dont know. Looks not bad, but it feels not so high quality. Maybe I got the worst from this line.
I like the way they look. But the elbow articulation looks kinda bad. Looks downright freaky on Casey Jones. 😮
Haha. Freaky??
This is amazing i hope krang appeares in the new mutant mayhem movie
Oh man! Me too !
I reckon he's the best looking Krang out of your collection.
You think so?
@@Pixel-dan yes I do, he's the cleanest design.
I might be able to get on board with that!
Wow first to comment on my fav UA-camrs video
Also I collect to Bst axn figures but Ive never seen Krang xl figure
He’s pretty amazing! Thanks for being first!
It’s really an honor because I’ve been watching your content since 2016
7 years!
Make video about pizza fire van please
It’s coming!
After all these years I still don't know if Krang is a stomach or brain
It's a brain-like creature. It's not guts :P
Maybe both?
Takes guts to make such a brainy comment!
Can you a video about the new pizza fire van
It’s coming!
@@Pixel-dan your the best guy
@@Pixel-dan when
Soon!
I'm not collecting this line...but that figure IS the Android Krang I've always wanted...
So will you get it then?
@@Pixel-dan mulling it over still. If it was on Amazon yesterday I would've pulled the trigger
Well let me know if you pick it up!
@@Pixel-dan I saw BBTS had it so figured I'd pull the trigger. I blame Playmates for not giving us the Android body Krang in wave 2 and disappointing 8 or 9 year old me!
Man That is Cool. I give it 5 slices of pizza 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕
But out of how many slices!?!? 🍕🤣
@@Pixel-dan😂 oh yeah, out of 5
Nice!
This video is amazing I am so excited for Mutant mayhem great video keep up the good work you are awesome
Thanks a ton!
@@Pixel-dan no problem your videos always make my day
Isn´t that a weird comment to make?: "As somebody who has always loved the Krang´s Android Body".
...those legs.
;)
i really dislike the box art. also for being called xl. the figure should probably be at least 12 inches tall.
True but it is bigger than all their other figures
🪧 More MOTU, less turtles 🪧
Your crazy
Why can't we have both? 🤷🏽♀️
@@dearestbrotherfrank Sure, I'm just asking for some MOTU after a looooong streak of TMNT videos
New movie and figures coming out! Had to! Definitely have MOTU coming. Did you see my toy box video?
@@Pixel-dan Thanks, Dan. Looking forward! And yes I did see the toy box video, that's a great piece of vintage MOTU art you managed to put your hands on 👍
I just can't get beyond how ugly the sculpt is. It's BST doing its own thing, which is fine, but it does bug me. There's always something off about the way they do their TMNT (and their figures in general). That's just me though.
Have you seen the new line coming out?
