  • Origami rose. The author is Toshikazu Kawasaki. This Kawasaki Rose is absolutely gorgeous. My new origami tutorials are great due to transparent paper. This paper perfectly shows all crease marks! And this origami rose can be a special gift for Mother's day, Woman's day, Easter decorations or birthday. It can be cute birthday decor, Easter paper decorations. DIY present for Mom. and present box decorating ideas.
    Take a square piece of paper, I used 21cm x 21 cm (8"x8").
Rich origami flower for paper bouquet. Bright piece for room decoration. Great ideas for gifts. Ideas for Valentines day.

I have folded the Fukuyama rose many times and with a lot of different folding sequences. After doing so many, I thought that I had found the perfect sequence. It is very similar to your sequence but with a minor variation in the final folds. It is amazing how many different folding sequences you can have and end up with the same rose! Anyway, after watching this video, I think I like your folding sequence better than the one I was doing. I like this because it allows for a more open center which I use to put another smaller rose , folded the same way. It makes the rose look fuller and more complex than it is. I think it is genius that you are using a transparent paper that really shows the folds well. I am amazed that more origami channels do not do the same. It is really easy to see every fold. Also using a larger square to begin with makes it easier to see and you keep your hands out of the frame after doing the fold so that people can see exactly what the model should look like after that fold is completed. I am always amazed by how many origami artists here on YT haven't figured that out. I have mentioned it in comments on a lot of videos when they use a square piece of paper 4 inches across and then never move their hands out of the way. A tutorial is really useless when they don't let you see the fold. I think a lot are really just showing off what they can do and not really wanting to help others learn the fold. To me the size of the paper is not very important since I go by what the shape is. If the folder starts with a square then I know I can make it with any sized square and will start with a larger one until I get it down. Some people absolutely flip out if they aren't told how big the paper is though! I don't get it. I do like that Sara Adams says what size she is using and then shows how big the model will be afterwards, such as, I used a 4 inch square and the finished model is 2.5 inches. That is helpful although you can fold it and figure it out, LOL!
In all the ways that an origami channel can succeed, you get a 5 star rating. Really exceptional video. I am subscribing. Thank you for sharing.

A wonderful origami model, but an extremely challenging one, even for an origami vetaran like me. Not REALLY EASY as suggested.

Very nice tutorial, super clever choice of paper! I am struggling so much with the part where you have to push the middle square (9:47). I didnt struggled as much with other tutorials, but I like the result of this one as well as every other steps that are so well explained. Any tips for this specific part?

took a couple of restarts with the same piece of paper but its a very nice model that when you understand the 'rules' of how to assemble it (mainly the last bits) it becomes fairly simple to put together

I'm curious about the type of paper used. It appears to be translucent and has a sheen. What kind and where to buy?

I like the choice of paper, but i'm confused ... is it really that hard to included the size of the paper you are using in the tutorial, whether you add it in the video or in the description doesn't matter how hard can it be? ... what size paper are you using please??????????

I imagine it required 4-digit IQ brain-power to create the proper sequence of folds!!! 😳

Thank you! I've spent 11 hours to create this tutorial. But it's not so difficult as you think :) And unfortunately I'm not the author of this origami model, the author is Toshikazu Kawasaki.
