What do you think to these videos so far? Share suggestions below !
To be honest Cyberverse done a good job with definition the Decepticon seekers as well. As I remember the seekers we got in that show were, Slipstream, Acid storm, Nova storm, Thurst, Ramjet, Dirge, Thundercracker and Starscream which 6 out of 8 of them dead.
I’d love to see your take on Optimus Prime being more of a rookie hero!
Im loving it so far. Can you do videos on other bots/cons that were made on earth like wreck gar, and the dinobots. Im also curious what you think about Sari being half cybertronian.
What is your take on the Animated Dinobots?
Sunstorm- “Optimus Prime, may I just say how much I admire your courage for walking into certain doom!” Love that line
I think Sunstorm was the first Decepticon to call Optimus by name.
@@kratkartan1486well actually is was Blitzwing The First Decepticons That Called Optimus Prime by his Name in Season 1 Episode 7 Called The Thrill Of The Hunt after Lockdown Catcher Optimus his called Blitzwing then he said You Have Optimus Prime? So Blitzwing was The First to Called his Full Name and Sunstorm was The Second
@@ironhideprimal6300 I recently rewatched all of TFA, and you are right. Kinda surprised Blitzwing would have known who Optimus was at that time. Though it could be that Blitzwing had done some research into who owned the ship Megatron perished on.
Things like this are why I love Animated. The way they introduced certain characters was so creative. I love how they handled Wasp, Blackarachnia, Dinobots, Comstructicons, just so unique. Just love it
Yeah I somewhat agree😏
The constructicons, no. The other ones yes
I actually like what they did; Wasp being mistaken to be a Decepticon spy, which led to his descent into madness (which is how he eventually became Waspinator); Blackarachnia formerly being Elita 1; the Dinobots being created by Megatron; the Constructicons being almost like real life construction workers
Okay, but is anyone gonna mention how Omega Supreme was introduced ?
@@justsomewritingfan2202 I need tfa omega supreme toy
While I prefer the seekers to be their own independent characters, I actually liked the seekers being clones in Animated. I think it was a good take on the seekers
Exactly, while it isn’t my definitive version of the seekers it is still very good. I feel like a lot of fans need to learn how to like things while it not being their favorite.
It's definitely a fun interpretation, and I wished we could've seen how the characters would of developed through the show.
Have you looked at The Cool Comic?
@@frederickgrandison3609 I have not, do tell...
Let's look at all the Seekers and their personalities.
Thundercracker: Starscreams ego
Skywarp: Starscreams cowardness
Ramjet: Starscreams dishonesty
Sunstorm: Starscreams bootlicking
Slipstream: Starscreams strategy
Dirge: Starscreams greed
Thrust: Starscreams envy
I wonder what the other Seekers would be (Acid Storm, Nova Storm, Ion Storm, Nacelle, Bitstream, etc)
@@natek4488cidstorm would be Starscream’s surliness, Novastorm would be his angst, Ionstorm his insanity, Bitstream’s his charm, Redwing’s his courage, Blast’s his temper, Wheezing Arrow’s his killer instinct, Hotlink’s his scientific brain given form, G2 Sandstorm’s his eccentricities, Cloudcover’s his paranoia, G2 Blackout’s his loner self and Nacelle’s Starscream inversion by being a trustworthy bot who makes others feel like they’re worth the universe; basically everything he’s not or possibly something derived from his subconscious.
Itami Prime could either be Nacelle under a new identity or a Starscream clone representing his nobleness which would confuse Starscream endlessly.
I love how Transformers: Animated handled Thundercracker, Skywarp, Sunstorm, Ramjet, and Slipstream being clones of Starscream. Wish Dirge and Thrust could have made it.
And Acid Storm
Oh imagine the dynamic of Thrust and Dirge. Since Thrust is jealousy and Dirge is greed.
Thundercracker is maybe a little too confident than he should be
Skywarp is still dumb
Sunstorm is really wholesome
Slipstream is litterally every female
and Starscream is still himself
They were going to be in season 4 😭
@@natek4488 What trait would he get from Star Scream?
Ngl I felt a little weird about Thundercracker but I remember this one scene from G1 where he basically says "you screwed up" to Megatrons face who couldn't even say anything back to him, dudes got ball bearings so him being the arrogant one makes a bit of sense
I also think Slipstream was the backstabber of the Seekers or had Starscream's drive, that's why she said "Don't ask." So Starscream wouldn't deactivate her
Slipstream is
(In my opinion) his drive, his motivation
It explains her intelligence
Her leadership skill
And her looks
I’d say his cunning,
His?
I believe she also has more of his treacherous side than the others as she’s betrayed Starscream more than once and shot down Optimus, thinking he was Starscream.
@@joannemcilraith8003 She's a fragment of Starscream's personality.
So what basically, slipstream is attitude and strategic commander with sass. Makes sense.
I always thought that slipstream was supposed to be the best parts of starscream. Like what was left over after, he's ego, cowardice, sycophantic and compulsive liar tendencies. Being an actually competent commander who isn't a self defeating sociopath.
I love how they took the different personalities of Starscream and put them into the different Seekers. Sure they were all the same character but they were different enough where you saw them as individuals.
I read that Slipstream was going to lead her own group of Decepticons in season four.
Remember Cyberverse?
Makes sense. She was a more competent leader than Starscream.
Maybe her own squadron of Decepticons
Wonder who the members were gonna be?
*Ramjet:* “What’re you talking about?! It was in *NO* way a genius reinvention! I could have done *SO* much better myself!”
*Sunstorm:* "Im sure you are most capable, oh wise one! But it is my humble opinion that no one could've done it better than the noble people at Hasbro Studios.
Lol 😆; classic Animated Ramjet (& Sunstorm)
*Thundercracker* : "Nonesense! Everybody knows that *I* could've come up with a *way* better origin.
My superior intelligence could easily detect the source of a *superior* idea! "
*Skywarp:* “Wait. You mean... this is going to be on television? In front of *MILLIONS* of viewers around the world? As part of a hit franchise that’s gone on for 23 years now? *HOW CAN WE WORK UNDER SUCH PRESSU-* Oh... great, there goes the oil leak again...”
@@awesomeproductions7755Don't worry, Skywarp. I'm sure you'll do great. All those people love you. You're one of their favorites.
Someone made a fan concept of Acid Storm with crazy sharp, jagged teeth and it would have been cool to see Acid Storm represent Starscreams crazy/insane side and then make him obsessed with melting everyone
The best thing the Starscream clones gave us was slipstream.
Animated and the 2007 movie was my main introduction to Transformers when I was a teenager. Among those episodes this was my favorite cause I love the concepts of the seekers. I even try customizing my animated Sarscream for the first time, cause Ramjet was my favorite, and you cant display Sunstorm without a Ramjet its ashamed I bought the wrong paint though XD.
If youve never done it, i highly recommend the TF wikis articles on all the Starscream clones. Hilarious is an understatement
Since Slipstream has a lot of Starscream's wit, drive, and femininity, could we assume that this means that she is Starscream's girlboss aspect?
As it was 2007, Slipstream being female was probably meant to represent Starscream’s “feminine” (read: gay) traits, without being obvious about it given the time the show was written/released, and for the intended audience at the time.
It’s possible (but unlikely) that Slipstream’s gender could’ve been read as Starscream’s own dysphoria/dysmorphia, but I feel like that’s been better explored in late IDW1
Slipstream was very unique character to me then and now. I like how her origins was just being a female clone of Starscream, and throughout the years, she's become an iconic transformer in her own right.
*still doesn't know what part of Starscream's personality Slipstream is*
Leadership
The Seekers being based on negative qualities OF Starscream himself is a step-up in characterization compared to what we are used to seeing in most other Decepticons.
With the exception of Megatron & Starscream being more dynamic & multidimensional, most Decepticons are intentionally designed to have one-dimensional "negative" traits that make them the bad guys
In general, Decepticons are Fanatical (Lugnut), Embittered (Black-Arachnia), Crazy (Waspinator), Sneaky (Shockwave), Rude (Constructions), Cold-blooded (Soundwave), Hot-headed (Slipstream), Cowardly (Skywarp), Arrogant (Thundercracker), Lying (Ramjet), Ass-kissing (Sunstorm), NAZIS!!! (Blitzwing)...
In each new Generation of Transformers, some of these negative qualities may be consistent with certain characters across different Generations, and some are cycled around the new roster of bad guys.
I like this version of the Seekers
I feel that the seekers would have slowly grown personalities, gained more individuality. Slipstream did so pretty quickly.
I Like to think of Starscream, Slipstream, Skywarp and Thundercracker as Quadruplet siblings with the cone heads and Rainmakers being two sets of Triplets.
What each clone thinks of this video:
Skywarp is afraid of the popularity he may get from it.
Sunstorm is honored to be in this amazing video.
Thundercracker thinks he deserves his own video.
Thrust thinks he deserves more time in this video.
Dirge thinks he deserves the monetization from this video.
Ramjet didn't see this video. He wasn't even in this video!
Starscream clones personalities:
Thundercracker: Egotistical
Skywarp: Coward
Sunstorm: Suck-up
Ramjet: Liar
Slipstream: **Redacted**
Redwing (Red one): Negotiation
Hotlink (Purple one): Genuine Fear
Dirge: Greed
Thrust: Jealousy
Acid storm: intellect
Nova storm: resilience
Ion storm: frustrations/rage
I like to imagine that Starscream did actually clone Dirge and Thrust. But they're just rejects so he never activated them
What Personality would they have inherited from StarScream?
@@finelineguy8733
Dirge = Power-mongering
Thrust = Backstabbing
I always thought of the Seekers as the elite strike troops of the Decepticons but the clone idea was fun.
Skywarp: Cowardice
Thundercracker: Ego/Narcissism
Sunstorm: Sycophantic
Ramjet: Deception
Slipstream: H O R N Y
Coul be an easy way of making multiple infernos and the inferno lookalikes
I hope that Animated returns and we'll see more of the Clones.
Same but for a season 4 will be a long shot cause keep in mind most of the of voice actors have moved on to other projects and are making more money or passed away just saying
@@wolfgang6442 Yeah,That can be difficult.

They could do a comic series
One of the many things animated was great at was taking characters that didn’t have a lot going on, or seamingly didn’t, and getting the most story and humor out of them as possible, lugnut and the starscream clones are great examples
To this day I still don't understand what part of Starscream that Slipstream came from.
Slipstream I think is the survivalist aspect. She knows when the fight isn’t going well, she knew to follow Megs first of any of the clones, etc
I think you could also summarize it as cunning more then anything.
This also makes me wonder about Animated Nacelle and Hotlink
Can’t forget BitStream
I do like the concept of the Seekers being Starscream's clones in Animated, but the gimmick of them having one personality trait did kind of wear thin after a bit (with all the male Seekers being voiced by Tom Kenny kinda not helping). Slipstream stood out because she did have more of a back and forth with Starscream, and that made her more fleshed out. Animated did try and differenciate them when Swindle gave them new helmets, but that was near the end of the series and it was kind of too little too late. I feel like it would have been cool if in a 4th season they branched out and became more of their own bots not linked to Starscream (as I _think_ Starscream dies for real at the end of Animated, but I haven't seen the finale in a long time)
Ideas for Seekers
Hotlink-Ambitious.
AcidStorm-Cruel.
BitStream-Schemer.
Nacelle-Corrupt Leader.
NovaStorm-Complainer.
IonStorm-Competitive.
Nice
The Starscream clones reminded me a little about the Dinobot clones in Beast Wars.
It's interesting and quite an fun idea, I wish we could get more slipstream tho, how they did her in cyberverse was dirty and we haven't gotten figure of her for mass retail yet
3:18 Ramjet: I am not!
I didn't really pay much attention to the lore as a kid, but now that I'm grown up and interested in the lore, I think that this was a genius move!
I personally think that the idea of the Seekers being direct clones of Starscream was a pretty good idea too.
I mean, even today I'd say that many of the Seekers still don't have too much character outside of certain continuities (As Cam said in the video, Thundercracker and Skywarp didn't really have too much character until the IDW comics came along) and in my opinion, this still continues today for many of the Seekers. (Just look at Ramjet's recent appearances in Cyberverse and Earthrise: nothing more than glorified cameos).
Additionally, if a future show ever wants to revisit this concept, they could also add other elements: For example, maybe he just starts with a few clones (Thundercracker, Skywarp and Sunstorm) that have the exact same body and jet mode as him but later down the line he has some clone modified such as different heads/helmets and different wings in jet mode, creating the Coneheads (Ramjet, Thrust and Dirge).
It's a brilliant idea and all. And I have to say, I really like their 3rd original character (Slipstream), and Animated has my personal favorite incarnation of Starscream, I love his design, and he really proves to be a huge threat, and the voice provided by Tom Kenny just makes this character so iconic. I mean, I will always have Chris Latta as my number 1 Starscream, but Tom Kenny comes REALLY close to be my favorite Starscream voice actor
Season 4 was gonna have Slipstream revive Starscream, and I wanted that to happen so bad.
I did come up with the idea of having all the clones be voiced by other actors who voiced Starscream in other shows/films. Such as; Steve Blum as Thundercracker, Charlie Adler as Skywarp, Bill Bob Thompson as Sunstorm, and Sam Riegel as Ramjet
I also heard about Season 4 having Greedy Dirge and Jealousy Thrust (I prefer Armada Thrust much more)
Comodin cam:“He was birthed on earth”
Bay verse Lockdown:”you think we were born? No. We were built!”
If Acid Storm was in Animated, what personality from Starscream do you think he would inherit?
His toxic side
His treachery
@@AngelGonzalez_77 I always thought his dirt-mouth side
@@Eva01-jy2qu7pu9r all the clones had that part of starscream
His ambitious side.
My favorite bit from Ramjet was when he walked up to Starscream’s head and told him “I will remain loyal to you forever” before kicking his body and walking away.
Cam: "Slipstream represents Starscream's combat strategist"
Me, since 2018: "Slipstream represents Starscream's gender dysphoria🤔"
Reading into it a little much
TRANSformers
Tbh said episode where I even found out about the character of slipstream in the first place, idk but I be feeling that the show is underappreciated sometimes which I may not have gotten to see it as a kid when it originally aired on CN but it's also my 2nd favorite transformers continuity ever aside from prime
the Coneheads may be similar to Starscream, Skywarp & Thundercracker, but the main difference (aside from their heads) is where their wings are placed on their robot mode (all the Coneheads have their wings placed on their legs instead of on their back)(just thought I should bring that up);
Slipstream was probably one of the most standout characters to come from Animated (& i think we all know why that is);
I agree that it would have been nice to see how Thrust (jealousy) & Dirge (greed) could be incorporated into the show, especially since Sunstorm & Ramjet were the only Seeker clones to appear more than the others (Slipstream was missing throughout s3, and Skywarp & Thundercracker were lost in space after fighting Blurr)
I love the idea of the Seekers being designed specifically to resemble Starscream. Although I would like if they had personalities separate from Starscream. They can have similarities to Starscream, but have them have distinct personalities
I will address this with Season 4 of Animated. I had the idea of making a Seeker episode, by just replacing "This is Why I hate Organics", we knew Slipstream was gonna revive Starscream. I had the idea where Starscream becomes the main villain against the Autobot cast, with Jazz replacing Prowl, meanwhile Ironhide would only join the cast and not replace Bulkhead, with Arcee, Jetfire and Jetstorm joining in as well. Swindle created Jealousy Thrust, Greedy Dirge, and Psychotic Acid Storm (I have no plans for the other members of the rainmakers). Meanwhile, Megatron sends the 4 other Seekers to investigate what Starscream is up to, and they all teamed up (along with Slipstream) to attack the Autobots and steal the Allspark Matrix. And in the end, all were defeated. Only Starscream lives, alongside Slipstream, Thundercracker and Skywarp, who all decide to retreat with Starscream, before they decide to reunite with Megatron (I really miss the point of having Starscream being together with him, Lugnut and Blitzwing). That was my take of an unofficial episode for Season 4, and why I have that instead of "This is Why I hate Organics". The rest seem way more official.
I am so glad that i am not the only one who still remembers transformers animated!
I would love to see a transformers show like Animated in terms of tone and style. But in a more traditional transformers story
I always thought Slipstream was his sass
It's funny they did the clone thing immediately again in Prime. But really this storyline is facsimile of the Combaticon storyline. Starscreams misfit minions
I'm 22 and I still don't know.......What does Slipstream represent?
one thing i liked about the allspark in TFA is that they didn’t just become evil, the constructicons were confused on what they were supposed to do
I love the idea of using clones for redecoes of existing characters like the Starscream clones. I too wished the given them their individual powers like Skywarp's teleportation, Thundercracker's ability to create sonic booms, and so on. Another good idea would be giving them new unique vehicle modes to signify their decision to break away from being Starscream's clones.
Yeah I agree. This idea of the skeekers of being clones of Starscream is brilliant take which should brought into future transformers media. You know how toys and the characters in transformers that have the same body style, they're either portrayed them as siblings or clones.
Ok it has been way to long since i saw animated so i actually can't remember what they implied wat slipstream represented
While it doesn't make sense that Starscream clones have their own unique color scheme that makes them visually distinct from Starscream, I really do like the idea and execution as they can really exaggerate "Starscream" without sounding like a fanfic cringy version of themselbes that you find in like Tumblr or comments

I loved the way how all these clones of Starscream embodied an aspect of his personality. I wasn't a fan of how Slipstream's personality wasn't explained, but I think she's as treacherous as him, if only he was a woman.
At least we had a sexy Slipstream in animated
Cyberverse Slipstream is likable, but then she's killed off
Everyone be sleeping on animated but its. High key one of the best things too come out of the franchise
Yeah, I remember when Swindle (voiced by Fred Willard) gave Sunstorm and Ramjet their helmets.
I'll be honest I always hated animated sunstorm. He's annoying. But I have had a long theory about their personality differences. When starscream had the Allspark shard was probably his personality chip and pieces go in the spark and spark chamber like a life long personality literally.
...I think that's the point
I wasn't aware of the seekers and characters spawned off from Starscream and recolored to sell more toys when I watched this. These were just the Starscream clones. Like Cybertron's legions of fodder from a brief arc, but made interesting with distinct colors, limited numbers, and personality fragments of Starscream. I didn't even reallize these clones HAD names.
Animated had a lot of characters, so trying to introduce several new decpticons would have been harder than splintering off fragments of an existing character as clones.
They're clones. There is no way for them to have distinct abilities unless they were to find new equipment, and I doubt that Starscream would be cool with one of his clones having a teleporter instead of him having it. Best place to load up would be Swindle (or Lockdown), but I don't see either of them having a personal teleporter for sale unless they already had one for personal use, and the price would be steep. How's a broke clone supposed to get that? They could have grown more distinctive in other ways though. More of them adding cosmetic changes or smaller upgrades...
I think the best explanation I had for Slipstream was Starscream's intelligence or cunning. The one who kept her hand hidden when labeling her brothers, leaving options for herself, and who lacked an obvious flaw from being a one note piece of a personality.
Her laying low also speaks to this. She saw that she didn't have good cards to play, so she'd wait and see. Laying low unless an obvious threat neared her personal airspace.
They could have done more with the clones, but there were more important stories to tell.
Also some nice details in the names and am sure they would have gotten powers if they lasted long like slipstream getting turbines.
But the personality's really fit.
So skywarp could teleport in g1 so him being a coward trying to get away from everything fits.
Thundercracker being loud and proud making more noise than everyone makes sense
Sliptream got the turbines that let her slip into the multiverse she's smart and jumped ship when the autobots got win in her universe.
Ramjet lying causing everyone to hate him makeing every but heads with him like a Ram/goat.
The greed of dirge having gold wings and a green body you know the colour of envy really cool.
Thrust thrusting himself into situation to make himself look better than everyone because he's jealous of everyone.
Sunstorm being a suck up kinda like how the sun sucks everyone around it towards it.
And kinda like a yes man you want him around you all the time kinda like he's orbiting you or you him because you like the praise.
There’s this book series called the Bobiverse by Dennis E. Taylor where a human man named BOB is made into a super computer and placed into an exploration ship a hundred years after his “Death” in 2016. During the series he has to make copies of himself to explore more of the galaxy but each clone is slightly different in personality so when in the latest book Heaven’s River at the 20th generation and after 10k+ BOBs many bobs are barely Bob!
You're not supposed to know who Slipstream is. If you were, she's probably just his cunning side.
slipstream is just slay aspect of starscream
I like to think that the red and white Starscream on e23 was a reference to Armada Starscream.
If you read the allspark almanac you will see skywarp has done that off screen, Slipstream complained about it.
I always thought that Slipstream was Starscream’s brain.
Ok for real though what part of Starscream did Slipstream come from?
SKYWARP IS HIS OWN CHARACTER IN HIS OWN RIGHT
I really liked the concept, but I was disappointed that we didn't get to see much of them in the show.
Skywarp and thundercracker should've done more in the show
Seeing this kinda makes me wish they’d done something similar in Transformers Prime, instead of using them as them as they did.
Honestly, it’s a missed opportunity by Hasbro to not only create five new characters, but also toys of them.
I still haven't figured out what aspect slipstream is
I really like that they are clones, though I feel that if they were treated more like clone troopers in that they could all have their own unique personalities while still being loyal elite warriors. Having all the seekers be built specifically to be the decepticon army and then having some like Starscream really come to question their purpose and place in the wider world would be extremely interesting.
Also I prefer the cone heads to just be recolours of Starscream don’t @ me
The yellow white and red starscream is sunstorm
I still don’t understand what aspect of Starscream personality slipstream is supposed to be.
So you wanna see slipstream lead her own team well guess what in cyberverse she does exactly that
I wish these personalities stuck with the seekers. Ramjet was at his best in this show
It's good for the show but the clones idea often gets mixed up with other media and as a result the rest of the seekers get kind of overlooked
There's two more seekers hotlink and sandstorm
Wait so is slipstream is hornines?
1000 likes but youtube says one is enough
Wait... So what personality is Slipstream supposed to be?🤣
I still can't get which aspect of Starscream was the base of Slipstream
Wait, someone figured out what part Slipstream was!? I never figured it out. Am I missing something here?
I'm not innocent I think I'm stupid, what's slipstream supposed to be ☠
So I’m guessing female starscream is his feminine side and that’s why she said you don’t want to know 😂
Do you know would be cool if someone figures our personalities for the other seekers like the rain makers and the welcoming committee I mean those characters haven’t given names since animated ended imagine what I could do with the other characters like making hotlink star Scream crazy side
My opinion is that slipstream is starscream vanity
Who wants to see more Slipstream?
slipstream was gonna appear in endgame part 2
I was so angry it was cut off, she was supposed to recover Starscream's body only to revive him for Season 4, hopefully that scene will get revived so we can see these 2 and other seekers again.
@@SPGojiFan i wonder what those 2 including thundercracker and skywarp done about megatron killing sunstorm and ramjet, also i hoped skywarp became an autobot in transformers animated season 4
So starscream is a trans icon with slipstream
