Then I topped it with powdered sugar and whipped cream and dipped it in maple syrup lol was SOOOOO good! Yours look delicious as well! I really want the pot pie version 🤤🤤
Love you my vegan queen, BUT, hot giardiniera is alive and well here in Chicago (where it originated from) and we put it on everything. Italian beef, hot dogs, pizza, in our salads. It’s been a staple in my fridge all 25 years of life so far haha. It’s the best!

You are the first I've seen to mention which quadrant hits the grill. Yes, the third and fourth ones are the outside quadrants. I think it's best to put the things you want the most heat in those and more delicate things, like fresh greens, in the first two quadrants. Thanks for mentioning it! It has been driving me nuts seeing people put the meltables on the inside! Ugh. Must be OCD or something. Cheers!
I have a hack for the hack that I've been doing: put the whole tortilla flat in the grilll/pan(with cut) and load/do the folding in the pan with a spatula. Then all quadrants hit the grill/pan surface!

In Italy we eat the Giardiniera as a starter with ham, salami, focaccia, torta fritta, but in my family we eat it every time is available 😂.. The best one is the one with big chunchs of vegetables that in general are carrots, celery, cauliflower and peppers.. Mmm🤤🤤

I own a grill press but I’m unsure how to use it...do you put it on the burner to get it hot first? I have seen chefs use an additional cast iron pan on top but I did not want to do that, seems like a cleaning nightmare.

I don’t bother getting it hot first. I still flip the wrap and press the other side into the hot grill pan.
