This gives me a lot of insight as to how to refine my attempts at learning how to do this style of painting better! My initial attempts have been...decent, but not great. This is a great companion video to your beginners' video for this style, and is making me want to drop money on the Army Painter Speedpaints 2.0 set, further! My acrylics will never be replaced, but this is a perfectly good style to learn for speed and efficiency.
You’re awesome bro. I’ll be taking a few weeks off to take care of my dad. This is perfect as I can now paint all my Frosthaven Miniatures with my new Speed Paint set. These videos have been a godsend as it helps me plan out my first Speed Paint project
Nice job Don.. love the final look. 2 things: would like a refresher on the stipple glazing you were doing and love the little text details / pop ups you included here. Keep up the good work!
Nice video, thanks for that. It'd be interesting to see the process from the double slapchopped mini to the final one. Especially for the skin. I mean the difference is quite stark, when I compare the mini at 9:18 to the mini at 11:32. So I'd like to know what steps are needed to achieve that look. Looks great!
Hi Don. The skin painting transition from post speed paint to final result could be very interesting. Are you thinking of posting that video clip anywhere?
Very nice videos ! Im new to this method, but i wonder about the "underpainting" steps, wont the very light/white final drybrush mask the warm brown undertone? No critic, just a question for understanding how to get started, im not a big fan of the finish from the Black/white basings, but the saturated warm tones looks very nice! Thank you for the sharing and comprehensive turorials!
I am going to paint up a Legion of the Damned kill team. I was thinking about trying a reverse slap chop starting with white, then yellow, red and finally black. I want to give the impression that the model is on fire inside the armor. Do you think this will work?
Hello! Did i understand you correctly that you can do the basic slapchop with airbrush? I recently started airbrushing with a H&S Ultra 2024. Wouldn't you get each color too much in the recesses by spraying compared to brushing ?
@DonSuratos okay and? You got into feeds grats for auto play but what's playtime 😂 act like internet analytics are hard to spot who's bot and who's not
@@danman1012 Never bought subscribers, but I started this channel with gunpla, and almost half of my subs are gunpla people, so they don’t care about my miniature painting. I am a blogger since 2009. So I know not to buy fake subs. Besides, if I have the extra money, I’d rather buy Warhammer. 😂

I will paint the Death Guard Talisman next! But what Warhammer faction after the Talisman would you like me to paint NEXT? ☺️

Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it! That's awesome about the speed paints, hope your painting gets better. ☺️🎨🎨🎨
my favorite new style of painting, the double slap is genius
Awesome! Happy painting bro! ☺️🎨🎨🎨
This was a decent double slapchopping video. Drybrushing Dorado Skin over the brown basecoat is great starting point for speedpainting.
Glad you enjoyed it! 😄
Thank you for more speed paint video
More to come! Welcome and thanks for watching! ☺️🎨🎨🎨

This is my fav mini painting channel.
You are doing SpeedPaint justice !
Hey man! Thanks! Will upgrade my gear soon for even better videos. ☺️🎨🎨🎨
I have also been experimenting with colored ('warm') slapchop. Some very interesting results can result. Nice to see others working in that space.
Experimenting keeps the hobby exciting bro. ☺️🎨🎨🎨

Excellent. I haven't seen the double method. That is very interesting.

Thanks! Will make just a skin video painting with SlapChop. I refrained showing my glazing, since my glazing videos get less views. ☺️
I love this new method but could we please call this Chop Suey
Well, that is a tasty way to put it! ☺️
cant wait.
Awesome stuff Don. Can you do a black templar with double chop? Seems like black is a difficult one :(
Hey man! So early! I just need to paint a Grimdark Death Guard, then I could paint a Black Templar next. ☺️
You’ve earned a sub with this piece brother, that looks amazing, will definitely be trying this technique 😊
Hey thanks man! Pardon for the roosters in the audio, will take care of them soon. 😅

Great Video!! out of curiosity, is it possible to purchase this miniature?
Unfortunately not at this scale sir. Just the 32mm scale at MMF.

Am I going crazy or are there roosters constantly clucking in the background?
Roosters are going wild! I recorded in the morning. ☺️
IREally wish you'd start to paint.
could‘ve got rid of the layer lines on the leg though
Yeah I saw during priming. I need to use the more stable table again. Just a UA-cam painting though, so it’s fine.
Buying subscribers doesnt work for engagement lol
