*** Massive time saver - You do NOT need to remove the bumper shroud. Remove the grill, mark and trim the shroud and Then remove the crash bar.

It is really nice. My buddy backed up into my truck and hit my bumper and it didn’t even put a scratch on the bumper, it looked like he didn’t touch it. And for the people that say he wasn’t going fast enough we were going 15mph and it totaled his tailgate.

Just finished installing this bumper on my 2021 Tacoma TRD 4X4 without the bumper. Bought a new unpainted Toyota OEM bumper to cut while keeping my original OEM bumper intact.
The wrinch installed too, works flawless with the bumper.

What a in depth job to literally cut up the facia and remove body clips that are never the same once taken out. I really wanted this bull bar but the decrease in my trucks value is a gamble. On a positive note it looks sweet. 😮

I just bought a new unpainted bumper and cut that. Original painted bumper now a spare.

I don't like the idea have to cut the bumper they should make another bumper fits without cut.
I agree, and really hope some options that don’t require any cuts come out soon.
I agree too, they should just make it match exactly the unplug bumper part instead have to cut 20mm extra. This will make hard for the buyers and doesn't look professional.

How come these videos never mention if these type of bumpers, bull bars or grille guards never mention anything about interfering with the tss and front facing camera.
Always a fan of Extreme Terrain install vids. I had ordered my bumper and Raxiom 20 in light bar. Any suggestions on a winch? Specifically fitment in the BA/Tacoma bumper...or will any 9500-10K lb winch fit??
I installed the Barricade 9.500lb winch with cable/wireless controller on a 2021 Tacoma TRD 4X4.
Works beautifully, just properly pre tension the rope with a 500 lb + tension.
Now I just need the “⚽️🏀🏈🎾” to cut my brand new Tacoma I’ve had for 2 weeks lol
So after reading all the installation reviews, I noticed some reviewers have said that the bumper shroud can be cut in place without removing it and save some valuable time. Is this true?

What about the front license plate? I’m in a state that a front plate IS REQUIRED AND CERTAIN MAX MIN HEIGHTS
This comes with a front license plate mount you can bolt to the fairlead.
Question. Do you also have to remove your aftermarket skid plate too to install this? I removed the stock skid plate on mine and have an RCI front skid on it right now. Thanks in advance!

@@davidr.1517 Update: Yes you will have to remove the stock skidplate but that should be about it besides two smaller pieces in the back. Easy install.

Can you reach the winch control? Is it easy to engage free spool with this bumper?
Yes. I installed it on my 2021 Tacoma TRD 4x4 and it's easy to reach the winch control level.
Great video thanks. Side note removing the entire bumper honestly isn't necessary. I was able to do it easily without doing so.

What is the purpose of relocating the cooling line? Is it for a winch? If I was not going to install a winch, can I leave the lines where they are?
Bolt Plates are used to relocate the cooler, if equipped, towards the rear of the vehicle to increase clearance for the winch mounting plate on the back of the bumper.
What’s the size of the rubber trim that’s used once the bumper is cut? Is it 1/8 inch?
I put that front bumper with winch 9500lbs and a 3inch lift in front and 2 inch rear but now my front is lower because of the weight in front and it also bottom out on rough roads is their a better way or stronger set up to stop this from happening. Thankyou
When the time comes to replace your front struts, I would highly recommend looking into a full lift coilover replacement that can help handle the weight and perform better on rough roads. Something like this kit from Bilstein would be perfect. -Zach

How do you access control of the winch
Will this conflict with some of our TSS sensors?
I wouldn’t think so. The sensor is behind the Toyota emblem.

Yeah I’ve heard guys are having problems with the TSS sensors on bars and when they lift the suspension.
Nope, installed last weekend on my '21 limited. Plenty of clearance for the tss and the front camera mounted underneath it.
how much time should it take to install ( bumper + winch )
If you have mechanical experience it should take you about 2 hours with just the bumper. I have not installed this with a winch, but I would expect to add about a half hour to an hour onto the install time. -Merideth

It makes no sense that these aftermarket parts companies can't design a bumper that could fit directly to the truck without cutting up the plastic and adding that black edge trim. That makes it look so cheap. Better designers making a better part makes more sense.

Not a ton but these bumpers typical weigh between 50-75 pounds which adds more weight

Sorry but to install that you need to destroy all the front of your truck and on top of that every time you order something parts or bolts are missing I watch the video n I regret to order that
having to trim the bumper is a NO GO for me.. its just LAZY ENGINEERING. there are better options. that do NOT NEED TO CUT THE BUMPER
