Hi .. I was at that concert way back in 1973 when they were filming TSRTS at MSG sitting in the 9th row orchestra . I was 16 years old then & now I'm 66 years old. Please check out the song " Since I been loving you " from the same concert. Zep will blow your mind trust me !!! Mike from New Jersey
No fireworks, fancy lights or heavy smoke….just a legendary guitarist in Jimmy, one of the greatest drummers ever in Bonzo, phenomenal bassist and keyboards in John Paul and imo greatest male rock vocalist ever in Plant….doing their thing! Great reaction Sabina!! 😎🤗
I think Bonzo didn’t didn’t really get his due on this version. Almost like his drums weren’t micd properly. His drum fills are part of what makes this song iconic and I could barely hear them
Sadly I was just getting into them when John Bonham died so the nearest I got to experiencing them was seeing Page/Plant in 1995 in Birmingham UK. They played all Zeppelin stuff & it was magical.
Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band 😅to have walked this earth. It is sacrilege to interrupt their music to comment on it. The death of their drummer was the end of the band. I miss their unique perfection. 😢
Been listening to this band for more than 50 years. Can't imagine them not in my music-loving life. Vast, deep, eclectic, surprising rabbit hole, well worth the time to discover.

The consummate guitarist, the story telling and range of the vocals, the massive driving force of the percussion all held together by the amazingly talented glue of the bass, keyboards etc Led Zeppelin! I am 75 yrs old and adore this track played live!
I was only 13 when I first heard their music. I ran into the living room, the song Since I’ve Been Loving You was playing and I could NOT believe my EARS! It forever changed me. I still feel the same way today! They’re Mystical Magical Musicians…Gods…all of them!
The 70 something Robert Plant seems to be rather embarrassed about the 20 something Robert Plant, but he has no real need to be. One is built on the ashes of the other, after all. And whatever his misgivings about this song now, it's certainly one of the things that keeps him a legend.
wow..., great post Sabina. Your format in presenting this w/o interruptions while giving thoughts spoke volumes. I have studied music since the age of 6 (Mother was an exceptional pianist), helped shape classic rock w. studio work and playing in many a musty honky tonk from the Delta to the east coast. There are many Rock Gods but Zep stands tallest. Their range in music of versatility is absolutely unmatched. Have seen them live, they never needed a lead up band. Live, Led Zep rocked the world and brought down the thunder for three hours. Thank you for sharing, am now a subscriber.
2:18 the beautiful melody being played on the keyboard by John Paul Jones is an instrument called a mellotron. This was before synthesizers were around. Every key was connected to a length of audio tape. Each piece of tape had a recording of an actual instrument (flute, recorder, strings). So basically you are playing many tapes of prerecorded sound at the same time. They were notoriously prone to breaking and needing repair.
Now try "Since I've Been Loving You" from the same MSG concert and "Kashmir" from Celebration Day...They are in their 60's and KILLED it! Absolutely one of their best performances!
@@xDporrada you know the date when this was recorded, the fact that everything was recorded live without any fancy pre recorded tapes/loops/backups or background tricks and that the guys had a few bottles of booze and some smokes before they entered the stage? Of course there were some errors in that solo! Even the Beatles or Pink Floyd were never perfect live on stage! Led Zep never tried to achieve "technical perfection"! I would suggest that you go back to your 4K TV or Video game and resume counting the "dead pixels" on the screen!
I have been listening to Led Zep since the mid 70s, Stairway to heaven was banned from being played in so many guitar shops because everybody tried to learn it. Still sounds as good today as the first day I heard it
A+ again, you do it right, play the song then the final comment. This is why back then you went to the concert. In concert LZ would go right to your soul, so LOUD yet so CLEAR. All 4 of these guys were AWESOME = GOAT.
Yet another example of great British bands. Robert Plant recently made a second album with American, Alison Krauss. In 2021, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss released the 12-track studio album Raise the Roof, produced by T Bone Burnett, as a follow-up to Raising Sand. Accompanying the album's launch, Plant and Krauss performed a globally live-streamed set, broadcast from Nashville's Sound Emporium Studios. Robert Anthony Plant CBE (born 20 August 1948) is an English singer and songwriter, best known as the lead singer and lyricist of the English rock band Led Zeppelin for all of its existence from 1968 until 1980, when the band broke up following the death of John Bonham, the band's drummer. He was inducted with the band into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995. Plant enjoyed great success with Led Zeppelin from the late 1960s to the end of the 1970s. Wikipedia.
Music from before you were born. And what music. Led Zeppelin's greatness and fame especially in the 70s cannot be overstated. They were huge. And this song, Stairway to Heaven, is a regular anthem and iconic masterpiece that belongs to the very greatest of rock music. In addition there is the group's enormous influence on the development of metal-rock. With a certain parallel to you and your homeland, Led Zeppelin had their world premiere in Copenhagen in 1968, where they played two concerts in two different places. Back then, however, due to contractual obligations, they called themselves The New Yardbirds. And with another parallel to your home country, the singer, Robert Plant, performed at Roskilde Festival this summer with Allison Krauss. A more subdued and mature gentleman now, but he can still sing. For example, listen to their 2022 version of the opening track from the 1971 LP/CD that also featured Stairway; Rock and Roll: ua-cam.com/video/o16Xq5Unfco/v-deo.html&ab_channel=mathiasnielsen66
this is the live version from the time I was a 16 years old teenager. The album is called "the song remains the same" ...... my second favourite album of all times, my first is "physical graffity!" You touched the nerv of an all time Led Zeppelin Fan. I remember when I played this song with my band in a pub - in the late 80tys. I´ve got an extra long guitar cable and walked while playing the guitar solo between the tables . Some chinese guys were playing pool billard and evertime I walked by - tey made a bow ..... after playing this song they came and sayd "das walll sehllll guuuuut!" ..... 😀 OMG - what good times ...........!
VERY thoughtful and honest reaction to the iconic masters!! Your insight leads me to believe YOU are a professional listener. Recognizing their passion when playing for their fans has always been my biggest takeaway from this band of virtuoso musicians. Imagine if you will (You don't have to imagine when you can view the others songs from this performance) roughly 3 more HOURS of performing which they did for every show!! They weren't just concerts, they were "events!" Thank You Sabina for the best review and reaction to any song I've seen. Love ya.
I hope you continue with more Zeppelin. The dual-necked guitar is a Gibson EDS-1275. It has 12 strings on the top neck and 6 strings on the bottom so guitarist Jimmy Page wouldn't have to switch guitars throughout the song. The recorder sound is from an instrument called a Mellotron and it was the precursor to a regular synth. Their music is full of heart, soul, and passion.
Both of my parents introduced me to Led Zeppelin When I was a kid Led Zeppelin was their kind of music they grew up with Led Zeppelin so when I was a child my parents introduced me to Led Zeppelin and stuff like that I did grow up with a lot of rock bands from the 60s 70s and 80s but all the band from the 60s and 70s were my parents music and they introduced me to a lot of really good rock bands from the 60s and 70s
This brings me back to going under the bedcovers with my transistor radio and earphone to listen to Radio Luxembourg on medium wave. Still one of my favourites after all these years. Thanks Sabina!!
It was a time of music that is the my memory, so much great music, from so many great bands, and many of us who lived it at the time took it for granted..
Now give Kashmir live from Knebworth, a spin or the celebration day live version done when they were older with Bonzo's son standing in for his sadly departed father. His son, Jason, was the drummer on the Heart's tribute version of Stairway.
For the older rockers amongst us, Stairway to Heaven is considered an anthem This song was the subject of some past controversy, the suggestion being that if sections of the song were played backwards, satanic messages were revealed. I can’t comment on this, I’ve never tried playing it backwards..neither do I intend to. Lyrically the song is beautiful. Musically the song is structured with precision and style. (Played forwards 🤪🤪) Overall, it deserves its rightful place as a rock masterpiece. Sabina, you looked completely absorbed by this performance, showing due respect for a classic..loved it. Chris
Actually...Its the whole song backwards, not sections. Every word, phrase and lyric tells a story both forwards and backwards. Its quite amazing. (and yes, it is all about Satan worship when played in reverse) "Here's to my sweet Satan"
@@waywardspirit7898 A few bands of note have been hauled over the media coals regarding satanic messages..Guns and Roses, Black Sabbath (no huge shocks with Sabbath) and others. Past litigation in the US has ensued over the years. From memory, no plaintiff has ever won a case when suing a band..usually the parents of a teenager who has taken his/her life. I find it quite a bizarre thing for bands to do…can’t imagine Maria Carey doing it…but you never know.
It’s nothing more than Mondegreen effect, these stories about devil worshipping in lyrics were totally fabricated back then because Religious communities and the establishment then referred to their music as the devils music because it wasn’t Beethoven 😂,bare in mind this was over 50 years ago or more, if someone told you what certain words sound like be it played backwards or forwards you brain subliminally hears it, its phenomenon, I mean black sabbath most members wore crosses round their necks and wrote anti war songs, hardly devil worshipping.
This has been my favorite song since 1974 (in a virtual tie with Kashmir), and I remember dancing with my new girlfriend at a high school dance in 1975. This was the last song of the night, and this is a notoriously awkward song to dance to because of the tempo changes. Anyway, as Robert Plant finished the last line of this song: And she's buying a Stairway to Heaven, we shared our first kiss. My first REAL kiss. Great memories, unparalleled song, wonderful reaction.
My memories...this song and the album it was on were the first Led Zeppelin I got hooked on, when I was about 12 (in 1972). The Madison Square Garden concerts (1973), which the video was taken from, was then turned into the Led Zeppelin movie 'The Song Remains The Same, BUT they released the double LP soundtrack first (1976), with some different tracks from the movie, which was finally in theaters late 1976 or early 1977. I remember getting my older sister to take me to see it on IMAX, which was pretty new at the time. We didn't have much in the way of video, I think I finally got a VHS version of it in around 1982. Since then you mainly see the film versions of the songs, though I still think the soundtrack album is well worth a listen...there is the song 'Celebration Day' on that one, a truly great live version, as well as other nuances in the other songs that probably only a true audiozephile would notice. Hope you do more Zep reactions, but try to avoid the freezes, they really put me off speed. I DO like how you did the text comments during the reaction, so that's a keeper! Enjoy!
Stunning composition, performance and musicianship.. yourcan really appreciate all the elements of the song as you can hear them distinctly. It’s a lie in the dark song
Very much enjoyed your reaction, thanks. Great song but just the tip of the Zeppelin iceberg. Greatest rock band to ever grace the earth. If you have an interest in doing a deep dive into Led Zeppelin, which I doubt you would regret, I suggest that you start with album 1, track 1 and just keep on going. The guys were incredibly talented and versatile. I recommend that you listen to studio versions first, followed by a live performance if you can find one (some of their songs were never performed live, or there isn't decent audio/visual video out there of many of their performances). Again, thanks and I hope you do much more Zeppelin in the future. BTW, were all the stills placed there on purpose? I understand that reactors have to often alter the video so it doesn't get blocked, but it was a bit frustrating not to be able to see much of the performance as you were reacting to it.
Hello Sabina hope you are doing well and things are going well in your life . Great job with your reaction and thoughts on Led Zeppelin Amazing Live performance of Stairway To Heaven .
Proof again ! That Led Zeppelin is the greatest rock band ever. More from this concert. Try Whole Lotta Love next ! And I urge you to review the entire 26 minutes of Dazed and Confused from this concert. The guitar soloing towards the end will blow your mind !
First of all...love the sleeping guy. Too funny. It's too bad the video had to be frozen for most of the performance...you missed so much. Robert Plant, lead singer, is so mesmerizing, so beautiful, so everything!!!! I like your style. I subscribed. More ZEP please.
Yep, having heard and seen this one of three night back then, many times, I was not there, once or twice the fidget in the back ground did catch my eye once or twice, not a problem I still read all the onscreen comments.
I grew up listening to this and numerous other Iconic Bands......like Pink Floyd, Meatloaf, and Rush to name a few. I really like your format please keep it up!
Holy crap Sabina, love your Angelina reactions amongst others but Zeppelin??? Thoroughly impressed and since I grew up with this band, in my top 3 ever, this was great .....kudos to you for this one....just a wow, actually saw them live at Madison Sq. Garden in the 70's . Cheers, stay well, and definitely carry on..
I listen Led Zeppelin since the 70's and i love them from the first time ! Please react to another song from them called Kashmir, this is also a great song ! Greatings and love from germany ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
you have to listen to "Since Ive Been Loving You" live from this same concert... the best blues song you will ever hear in your life.... lots more goosebumps incoming..
This is from a 3 night stand they did in Madison Square Garden in 1973 that was used in their movie "The Song Remains the Same". As a teen in the seventies I had the poster of Robert and Jimmy, with that double neck guitar, on my bedroom wall. Right next to the 2 posters from Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" album. Oh that wasn't a synthesizer, John Paul Jones was playing a Melotron, I believe.
Now this is a MUST: Watch Heart - Stairway to Heaven Led Zeppelin - Kennedy Center Honors from December 2012. The group, Heart, with the Wilson sisters, cover this song. Led Zeppelin's original drummer, the late John Bonham, is replaced by his son, Jason Bonham and absolutely kills it! Robert Plant, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones are in the honorary seats in the balcony and get emotional during the performance. It was done so well. Enjoy!
Kindly do the studio version of Since I've Been Loving You from their 3rd album and then the live version from MSG in 1973 if you have time, just subscribed
As per Robert Plant I look at it and tip my hat to it and think there are parts of it that are incredible. The way Jimmy Page took the music through, and the way that the drums almost climaxed and then continued - it’s a very beautiful piece. But lyrically, now, and even vocally, I go, ‘I’m not sure about that.'”
Watched your Rammstein Video (I’ve seen them live twice) and now the LedZeppelin video one after the other. What a nice contrast 👍🏻😅Really, you can like both 😌❣️. And greetings to the guy behind you 👋🏻😂
Led Zeppelin and The Doors are in a tier1 by themselves. Everyone else can go into teir2 etc. In my system anyway. Maybe check out something by the Doors. When The Musics Over. They have a live version of that from somewhere if you like the live stuff.
Led Zeppelin 4 was released today November 8th 1971 so this song is now 51 years old today and I’m 54 just to give you some perspective! Enjoy! Also this will sound trivial to some but at 3:58 On here the full sound of the original Jimmy’s guitar and John Paul’s recorders and bass it reminds me of being baptized in the warm water of the church ⛪️ baptismal pool! It takes my breath away!

The Heart preformance was That songs induction into rock legend.
Hello Sabina thank you for your reaction. In my opinion this is for me the best song for all time 🤘🤘
one of the best song ever
As a 17 year old, I was at this concert in 1973. It was in New York City at Madison Square Garden.
You just listened to the greatest rock band ever. Their music is timeless!!!
Need to do WHOLE LOTTA LOVE by Led Zepplin !!
They stage presence is golden!!! Try "Since i`ve been loving you"," When the levee breaks" and "Black dog" for the start.
I love your reactions Sabina
Thanks for your reaction to this song ❤
You will not find a better singer. I have tickets to see him Saturday near Dallas Texas. He is older now but still performing.
Reminds me of my youth, please do more Zeppelin. 💋
It must have been magical to see them live. This was legendary!!!
@@sabina1118 Metallica and AC DC at Madison as well...😃
One of my fav groups as a teenager. Love it. More please Sabina❤
Their music seems to be copyright blocked but I’ll see what I Can do! 😊😊
Their music seems to be copyright blocked but I’ll see what I Can do! 😊😊
whenever they came to my town I bought tickets and I went and saw them and I think the tickets room like 25 bucks or something now great shows
Sabina - watch the movie: The Song Remains the Same. This is a film made from when Zep played 3 days at Madison Square Garden.
You should really do some more Zeppelin! You won't be disappointed! Great reaction!
Page's greatest live solo that I've heard.
I listen Led Zeppelin since the 70's and i love them from the first time ! Please react to another song from them called Kashmir, this is also a great song ! Greatings and love from germany ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Great concert, indeed ❤
Released in 1971 ,, I was A happy 70s Brat
Try their song, Since I've been loving you, live in Madison Square garden 1973. Also, In my time of dying, live at Earl's Court.
AWESOME!
In My Time Of Dying is going to be my funeral song,I wish I could see the look on some of my relatives faces when they play it🤣🤣
My choice for next Zeppelin song would be Since I've Been Loving You
LZ are the greatest rock band of all time. Try listening to Kashmir from the celebration day concert. They’re a lot older but still unbelievably good.
The rock band that ALL other rock bands are measure against.
Pure rock, no fluff.
you have to listen to "Since Ive Been Loving You" live from this same concert... the best blues song you will ever hear in your life.... lots more goosebumps incoming..
The GOATS! One of the Greatest concert ever!😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Legendary!
Your reaction was almost as beautiful as the performance!
Sabina. Love your comments and the fact you don’t interrupt them. If you like zep live try Since I’ve been loving you
Led Zeppelin 4 was released today November 8th 1971 so this song is now 51 years old today and I’m 54 just to give you some perspective! Enjoy!
Also this will sound trivial to some but at 3:58 On here the full sound of the original Jimmy’s guitar and John Paul’s recorders and bass it reminds me of being baptized in the warm water of the church ⛪️ baptismal pool! It takes my breath away!
"FN" epic Zeppelin RULES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You should listen/watch the Pulse concert with Pink Floyd.
Up there like Rock Godz
Robert Plants vocals really shine in this song
