I will have to try this recipe! It looks simple enough! Thanks for the shout out regarding Helene. I live in Florida and was just in the path of Milton, living south east of Tampa. Very scary indeed but was blessed to be okay! Your compassion brought tears to my eyes because I know people have it much worse than even me.
I am at the epicenter of the Helene damage. It is really bad here. We were five days without power and four days no water but we survived. Thanks for the good wishes
Good morning Adelina. Thank you for this recipe. I always like to see your videos and recipes but more than that , i just like to see your face and hear your voice. You Are like an old friend to me. ❤ Have a great week.
I can see this quick and easy recipe as an accompaniment to a winter inspired soup or chili. Of course, always better topped with some melted pb cheese. 😊
🥹👍👍 This basic recipe was instructive! Cinnamon, ground cloves, raisins (soaked in the soda), a pinch of granulated sweetener, seltzer water (instead of “pop”) = Perfect scones!! Try putting them in w/out the brushed cream on top; they might brown better. 💚 -V
I was watching a cooking show and they said you should wet the parchment paper before you bake with it. Because it’s parched, it’s easier to work and form to the pans if you wet it.
Omg! ❤❤❤❤ I was just thinking about when you would be uploading another video! 🥳🌸🎯😅🤲🏾👏🏾 Yessss Adelina, I hope You and Sophie are doing alright! ✅😅🎉 Hell to everyone else from IN Canada 🍁
Here in the UK, we call those type of scones that you made as plain scones, but our version of scones , contain fruit, but will definitely try your recipe x
Yum! There is a difference between scones & biscuits. Scones are drier, denser and more crumbly and are usually larger than a biscuit. Hope you put some jam on the second one!😋 You brought tears to my eyes talking about Helene and now Milton is en route. Praying for all in the affected areas. 😔
Currently waiting for Hurricane Milton! Praying we don't have damage. We are approximately 60 miles outside of the direct hit, but will get lots of heavy wind and rain! 🙏🙏
Hi I'm from Australia we follow more English ways in cooking...what you made is a scone traditional ways only use milk not lemonade ( never flavoured)....the lemonade version is a new concept.....biscuits are what the US/ Canada call cookies.
A caring touch with the shoutout to Helene affected folks, and I will add to that with thinking of those in the path of Hurricane Milton too... oh.. so much damage! Hoping all are somewhere safe ...
In Australia we say, Scon even though we spell it Scone. But oddly enough we have a place called Scone and it is pronounced how you are saying it. Go figure. And the saying here, To do one’s scone means to lose one’s temper! My mum used to make a scone mix using lemonade (or soda). She used to brush some egg whites on the top to brown them. I wonder if you popped them under the grill to finish them off if they would brown a bit more?
*It's strange how things are named differently all over the world.. soda or pop is called Soft drinks or fizzy drinks here in Australia. or we will just call them by there name. like Coke Or Fanta.. lemonade here is also fizzy and clear and mums would give it to sick kids a lot back in the day.. I recently had lemonade/Sprite for the 1st time in 30 years. I had to get a camera down my throat and up my bottom and could only drink clear liquids for 3 days before the procedure. it would burn the crap out of my mouth lol*
Hi. I made them and they were great. The second batch I made I added some oat based shredded vegan cheese and some onion powder… success. Thanks for yet again a great recipe. Have a good day!
Biscuits in the US are a soft interior, flaky exterior, unsweetened bread eaten with butter, gravy, or jam. Usually, they are eaten for breakfast. Cookies in the US are sweet and are a dessert. Seems in the UK they call cookies "biscuits?" I think in this video, she is using the US definition of "biscuits." I would say that the US defintion of a biscuit is the most similar to a scone.
Maybe have the scone with butter, jam and clotted cream - do vegans have a clotted cream version ?🫤 scones are sweet in UK We do make a savoury version to top cobbler in the oven

I had no idea how to change flour into self-rising flour, thank you!!

I can see this quick and easy recipe as an accompaniment to a winter inspired soup or chili. Of course, always better topped with some melted pb cheese. 😊
I totally agree!
I will be making these, thank you. I have the same cans of drink, I use the Orange, I do like the ginger ale as well.

Great tip!
3 ingredient scones or biscuit! Yes!!! In some places in the southwest of the U.S., scones can also be called fry bread.
They look great. I must try them.
Scones often have currants and are eaten with butter and jam
Love a good 3-5 ingredient recipe! I will definitely give this a try.
Hope you enjoy!

I would love to see you make different savoury or sweet scones 🧡🤎🍁🍂🥰
Looks delicious. 😊. I love a good biscuit.
Me too!!
I'm hoping someone from the UK will chime in and correct me if I'm wrong but I think the UK call biscuits what NA calls cookies.
Correct!

Looks delicious I would love to know if you try with the cinnamon and bubbly water sounds like could be a cinnamon biscuit ❤❤
Yummy!😋 ❤
Thank you 😋

I love that blue bowl too! Where did you find that? It was fun watching you work in your 'tiny' Big kitchen. ): Great video.
I got the set of blue bowls at the Hudson's Bay store years ago. I love them too.
Also I agree with the unsweetened carbonated water! Instead of adding more sugar content using Flavored soda 🎉😅😊🫶🏾🙌🏾
Yes!!
Good afternoon, You can call them whatever you want they looked delicious.I think the strawberry jam might have been a good call

Debbie…all the best, thinking of everyone out there🙏

Yes! Prayers for all those who just endured Milton 🥺🙏🏼.
I love your big bowl with spout and handle. Could you share the brand, please?
I got this ages ago at a local store. I love it.
Now I want a scone.... haha

I’d like to be your next door neighbor so I could get invited over in case you have too many scones.
lol! Come on over! 😁

Oh that's a great idea!! I'm glad you like them.
I have tried scones made in the United States and biscuits. Scones are not as sweet as biscuits. Hopefully someone from the U.K will let you know.😊
I hope so too!

Yes, I've been enjoying them with jam.
