Trust me I get your pain bud. My best advice is to try to find an actual brick and mortar card shop in your area rather then trying to waste time finding retail. Flippers currently have decimated the card market hording all the stuff at your local Walmarts and Targets. Legitimate cards shops offer hobby boxes and packs which have your better odds of getting higher end hits like jerseys, patches, autos, and RPA's. Also many card shops now are dealing directly with distributors to get access to retail stuff as well in an effort to push the horders that flip all the retail stuff on eBay back out of the market as well as to have cheaper packs available. Don't get frustrated though bud I wish that I would've still kept ahold of alot of the cards I had at your age and kept them in pristine condition. I work at a local card shop where I live and in all honesty nothing makes a day better then watching a young collector like yourself pull that big Zion Williamson, Luis Robert, or Justin Herbert card and magging it up in a one touch for them to show off or try to sell when your my age!! Thanks for the tips man. I work a 9-5, but there is a target right across the street that I go to everyday. The manager says their vendor is never on time or on the same day. Getting to know some of the employees is super helpful!
Great video and it definitely takes persistence. I have had luck at 1 particular target in my area. The vender actually hands out the cards equally to everyone when there are people waiting.
I just recently spent this last 2 weeks trying to find a store that has a restock I live in a small town in Colorado so it’s pretty hard to get consistent restocks. But I am not disappointed or discouraged I love to rip and love yo collect so we I do finally find a restock it makes all things much better. I appreciate the video keep up the good work!
Small world! I live in Denver! bro I've checked lakewood, englewood, littleton, and bunch of others. Had decent luck up north in stapleton area but nothing great. Sucks you cant just find a box or two at your local target
My best trick is to get lucky - not many retail options around me and the couple times I’ve been lucky enough to show up during a stock there are multiple people waiting in line already for them to finish stocking.
You have to put in the time, going to stores and waiting with the hope of scoring some cardboard. It would be nice to return to the old days when the shelves were always stocked!
Nice video again brother!! I don’t get lucky often but when I do, it pays off. Being persistent and checking the store frequently in one day has been my go to.
Same as every other Walmarts. The 3rd party vendors come stock Walmart every 6 weeks.. but many buyers are waiting to grab all of it once it's on the shelves..
I just started collecting again after 30 years of hibernating, it is totally crazy now can't find anything. So I will try and do the tips you mentioned. On point with the tips....crazy how much stock u get at ur stores.... we get like 2 to 3 boxes of stock..... i feel like there's an inside job at target and walmart now in days
My best tip/trick would definitely be making friends with others in the hobby and the vendor or store employees. They’ll give you information for sure. Thanks for sharing man.

I haven’t gone to stores in person yet, only did online shopping during the pandemic (I started collecting late last year) so these tips and tricks will be helpful, thank you!
I was an Excell territory account manager in the PNW for 5+ years… Our schedule was to hit every two weeks, that said some of the smaller towns we’d hire another company to do it, I do know that territory account manager position is being phased when an employee leaves, so that will change… That said I covered the entire Pacific Northwest, at least 60-70% of the stores push their product to the floor not waiting for the rep.
Great video! Thanks for sharing your knowledge about this. It took me a while to figure out the stocking schedule of my local Walmart, but I think I finally cracked the code!
work at a target in Texas and the vendor for our cards are VERY inconsistent. totally understand but its funny when there is a bunch of men waiting 8-12am for nothing! (frustrating because I collect as well lol)
I worked at a Walmart and it was even difficult for me to get some. BUT! I know that the vendor comes on Thursday around 7. We would have a crowd of people at times so good luck!
Jan 14 on my way home from work my wife asked me to stop at Walmart to get milk for my granddaughter. Stop at the card section and found holiday Topps. They had 6 boxes and that was it so luck is involved at times.
Awesome giveaway man! Love the tips. For me there’s a target right next to my planet fitness and I’ll check before or after my workout. It’s always different days/times so I get a good variety.
I caught a vendor and a guy was waiting on him like me. He let me get all I wanted which was maybe 4 mega boxes & 2-3 blaster. The other guy purchased the rest of the shelf. His total was $2700.🥺🥺🥺🥺. I was like, no wonder I can never catch any. Jeeez. That’s why they have limits to other stores for that reason alone. But I don’t care. He was there b4 me so he could have taken them all.
Rite Aids in my area hold the product for one guy which is complete bs, i've spoken to managers about it and they don't care. I stopped in at one Rite Aid and they had 100+ Pannini packs they wouldn't sell me any due to holding for this dude. On top of it the guy they hold the product for owns a damn game store and doesn't even have any product for sale in his store ever. Sadly all stores need to have limits as this has gotten out of control.
Greed is wrecking this hobby. People following vendors to raid stock, card arbitrage on eBay, packs that cost $1500+, grading companies with horrible prices, terrible service and 6 month turnaround times. Absurd!
It’s a ton of collectors in my area that has the jump on me. I haven’t found any product in months in Target , wal mart or Walgreens 😒. I’ve had to pay the secondary sellers on eBay. And shop at my local card shop. But I’ve hit some nice Cards so it’s worked out so far. Greatest of luck hunting all 2021 to everyone
Best trick is, if theres a line, vendors are there. Got lucky today and got a megabox of NBA hoops and a blaster of NFL prizm. First time actually finding cards. It was good how everyone agreed to split the products fairly between 10 people.
Everytime I'm at Walmart I check I haven't had much luck but yeah it's the only way I could get cards now considering I'm on a tight budget with the pandemic!! I enjoy all the videos either way 👍
Once picking up a few goodies and placing them in your cart.... don't go to the restroom. Several prized boxes disappeared upon returning to your cart.... Hardup hunters are watching!
I have not necessarily scored on finding football cards for retail pricing, but it seems really helpful when you are friendly with workers and others around that store.
Going everyday for 2-3 weeks will help to figure out what day they restock, and whether they restock once a week, once every 2 weeks, or once every 3 weeks. From personal experience, Walmarts usually restock once every 2 weeks (some stores it's once a week), and Targets are usually once a week (some stores are once every 2-3 weeks, but this is more rare). In my area, Walmarts will restock at basically the same time (30 minute window, Ex: 9:45-10:15AM), but the day they restock varies more often. The Targets will usually restock the same days, but the time varies more (2 hour window, Ex: 9:45-11:45AM). Also, I can confirm that holidays screw up their stocking schedules. Targets have been restocking on random days right before and after Christmas & New Years, while Walmarts have not been stocking as often. Stocking schedules will change even without holidays. My takeaways: Having stocking schedule intel can really help, but much of my success has just been luck (walking into the stores at the right time with no prior knowledge of a restock happening that day). In addition, having just 1 other person that helps look for product is HUGE. I have had several weeks with zero luck, and other weeks with multiple finds in a week. I have never hit a MOTHERLODE of product, but I have managed to find a few blasters of Prizm and Mosaic football in addition to the lower end products.
In Mishawaka Indiana the Meijers store is stocked by vendors out of Ohio. This time, he broght his Mom along to purchase the cards he was paid to stock. My friend saw her cell phone and it had her and her sons photo on the main screen. This happened today 1-22-2021.
Loved the tips. I’m newer into collecting and I’ve been getting frustrated with how frequently I check my local Targets and Walmarts and find nothing. You’ve provided some wonderful suggestions and I can’t wait to try them out.
The problem here in NJ is there are people who are paying off the vendors for more product. They're ensuring that product doesn't hit the shelves and held in the back room of the store or the vendors are telling them their daily schedules. Sharing is caring and everyone should have an equal chance to get product but I've seen some disappointing greed from people and it's a shame that it's happening.
Persistence. I work full time so I only have a few opportunities. I try to keep a good attitude and check wherever I can when I can. To this point, I've only found one cello of Illusions and some Rookies and Stars.
While cleaning out a display in another department I came across an Optics basket ball mega box from last year some one hid and forgot about. I left if there and made sure to let one of my nice rippers know where it was. Needless to say he was happy paying $55 instead of $300 online.

@@kevinmaddog3064 apparently it’s three per sku not how I originally stated so I did buy more than I had planned but There was no prizm. I have to wait until next week. I will have prizm cards!! Megas, blasters, hangers, fat packs, all of it!! Hahahahahahahah!!!!!!
Back into the hobby and man insanely hard to find a pack haven’t opened one yet.
I got really lucky on Thursday at Fred Meyers they had just restocked and got some basket ball and football but there limiting it
just buy online dont waste your gas or time
I notice that the vendor NEVER walks in to the store with the boxes that contain the trading cards. So it's obvious it's already in the back of the store but employees aren't not to stock it. That's Target
Some stores will stock it.
I just don't got the time to be visiting multiple retail stores multiple times a day to figure out their schedule.
Yes, very true. You have to find a couple of buddies that are nice enough to share!
@@HitmanRips me and a crew share intel and wait at the 4 stores and we text each other and say how many people are waiting at each store so if its worth the 25 min travel to go from the target you are waiting at to that target or not. for instance the vendor one week will do store A store B store C store D next week store B store A store C store D.
vendor hates the sport card collectors even when he divy it up like gentleman although some are aggressive like yesterday i was 3rd in line 5 megas but i got no mega but i did not bitch about it cause everyone knew day before at another target i got 2 megas so it was their turn to get a mega when they were not at the store i was at but my friend who was first in line should have been more agressive cause he got no mega but he did not complain he was happy witih blasters and gravity packs and some cello packs.
Thanks for the tips! Talking to the employees nicely really helps. That blaster would be dope!!
I bought all the Pokémon I could. Finally found everything I’ve been looking for. I saw a bunch of prizm boxes, NBA Hoops, other stuff. I didn’t ourchase bc I mainly buy Pokémon. Wasn’t sure about the investment side for the sports cards. Maybe this Friday
I am a vendor and I almost never restock the same store at the same day and time every week. It’s not that I’m trying to be cagey it’s just that I have to weave them in with other jobs.
How do I get a part time job doing that?
Out of curiosity, are you allowed to buy any of the supply that you stock?
@@harrisonyi There's no rule against it.
love the videos.. Just got back into collecting since 20 years ago so these vids are helpful man.. Totally different game than when i was 12 lol.. Happy Collecting man
Glad to help!
Patience is the best advice for getting retail. I did also score a lot of megas of premium stock hoops online. Sometimes you can get lucky.
Like retail prices? Able to share how and where?
How?
@@murph-4 Guessing Target, but most of the things are eaten up by Bots. Check Walmart's website everyday, they do put stuff out there.
@@jasonward3295 thanks man. Yeah I downloaded targets app, always says shipping is available but as soon as you click it, it says there is an error and can't be added to cart. I'll keep an eye out on walmart then. Appreciate the advice!
The best way is to go to the store before it opens or 5:00 a.m and wait for it to be stocked..
You really covered everything very well by far the best video on youtube about how to find retail!!
Thanks for the tips. One target in my area, has a one pack/box limit per day and you have to go to guest services. At least they have product for about a week after a restock.
That helps everyone get a chance!
Just get a few buddy’s and go in one by one and just give them money to buy them and they can just get them for u
Nice. Thanks for the info! It is helpful and reminds me... It just takes work!
Great video! I actually went to target looking for sports cards for the very first time today and of course it was out of stock! Looks like trips to target will become a new thing for me! Excited to use some of your tips haha
I’ve had so many weeks of not finding anything. Great content keep up the awesome videos!
good video. i think you got majority of the best tip already. i usually collect data every time go shopping.
Thanks for the tips man. I work a 9-5, but there is a target right across the street that I go to everyday. The manager says their vendor is never on time or on the same day. Getting to know some of the employees is super helpful!
Hey, at least if you know they haven’t stocked for a week a re stock might be coming soon!
My best trick is to pay second market prices or end up buying lesser desired products because I just like opening lol
I stop by the stores 2-3 times a day trying to find the delivery days. Great Channel and Video.
Great video and it definitely takes persistence. I have had luck at 1 particular target in my area. The vender actually hands out the cards equally to everyone when there are people waiting.
That’s pretty cool of the vendor
I just recently spent this last 2 weeks trying to find a store that has a restock I live in a small town in Colorado so it’s pretty hard to get consistent restocks. But I am not disappointed or discouraged I love to rip and love yo collect so we I do finally find a restock it makes all things much better. I appreciate the video keep up the good work!
Small world! I live in Denver! bro I've checked lakewood, englewood, littleton, and bunch of others. Had decent luck up north in stapleton area but nothing great. Sucks you cant just find a box or two at your local target
@@deedupuch564 hopefully I don’t find you scrubs looking in my stores
My best trick is to get lucky - not many retail options around me and the couple times I’ve been lucky enough to show up during a stock there are multiple people waiting in line already for them to finish stocking.
Helpful video, I'm brand new to the game trying to find my way.
My only local Walmart says that the vendor only comes in to stock about once every six weeks. I’m heading out of town every chance I get.
Same as every other Walmarts. The 3rd party vendors come stock Walmart every 6 weeks.. but many buyers are waiting to grab all of it once it's on the shelves..
At my local walmart, they restock Tuesday and Thursday mornings, but an employee told me that like 15 guys will line up hours before they restock.
I just started collecting again after 30 years of hibernating, it is totally crazy now can't find anything. So I will try and do the tips you mentioned. So far I buy most everything on EBay and compare prices before I buy anything. I check a lot of different sites and sometimes you can find good deals, good hunting everyone.
I work at target and the vendors usually come on Tuesdays and Wednesdays sometimes Thursday’s if vendors are late
Thank you 🙏🏽
Let’s hope this is true
On point with the tips....crazy how much stock u get at ur stores.... we get like 2 to 3 boxes of stock..... i feel like there's an inside job at target and walmart now in days
My best tip/trick would definitely be making friends with others in the hobby and the vendor or store employees. They’ll give you information for sure. Thanks for sharing man.
ive figured that making friends with other card collectors helps a ton with knowing when/where stock is
Awesome video bro! So crazy to find retail now a days.. Keep up the awesome work bro
My best trick is to go to target every single day 300 times a day :)
Lol
I've tried that...I live across the street from target and in 1 year found 5 optic cellos. Rough times for sure lol
I work at target and I don’t know the schedule because the shelves are always gone
Brother great information new subscriber....and I just blew my mind with some of those killer hauls of basketball....stay safe in these times and godspeed!!!
Thank you for the sub!
Great information to know thanks. I’ve had luck hitting up stores like Walgreens, party city etc also.
I haven’t had much luck finding anything, but I just started definitely taking some of your tips.
I haven’t gone to stores in person yet, only did online shopping during the pandemic (I started collecting late last year) so these tips and tricks will be helpful, thank you!
I've only caught the vendor once. Didn't hit anything today but that's just how it goes I guess...
Great video! It does take a lot of dedication to get those schedules down pat! Keep the great content coming!
Go everyday and ask different employees until you get the answer you’re looking for
One thing I've noticed to do is to look behind other stuff in the card isle... One time I found 4 boxes of prizm hidden behind the sticker book boxes.
I typically have more luck finding cards when I’m least expecting to. I’ll go in looking for coffee, and come out with football cards.
Thanks for the info, yes more Targets are starting to stock their own
Great video!
Gotta love the campers!
I always talk to the store employees to ask when the vendor comes to stock. It has worked out multiple times.
Good stuff
Stores have completely randomized days that they stock. One week it is Tuesday and the next its Friday. Hard to gage.
This is what the employees always tell me when i ask
@@JoebsonOSRS I think they are full of it.
Awesome giveaway man! Love the tips. For me there’s a target right next to my planet fitness and I’ll check before or after my workout. It’s always different days/times so I get a good variety.
I try to hit the Walmart’s and targets around noon. I also found out that Barnes & nobles as well as 5 Below carry as well
I caught a vendor and a guy was waiting on him like me.
Last month I spent $4000 in one Walmart on Pokemon boxes.
@@dargainz2250 LOL, I give the Rite Aids guy $200 every time he helps me out. You gotta spend money to make money.

I wish I could find some Retail 😞 would love that prizm blaster!
Best trick is to make friends who enjoy the hobby so you're not bored out of your mind waiting for the vendors!
I’ve heard the best idea is going in at 9/10 in the morning and checking. That’s when the vendor comes mostly
I just found out that mine is in Friday’s around 3 30. I was able to score hoops and prism
Best trick is, if theres a line, vendors are there. Got lucky today and got a megabox of NBA hoops and a blaster of NFL prizm. First time actually finding cards. It was good how everyone agreed to split the products fairly between 10 people.
Very cool to hear there's still people who split it evenly!
@@HitmanRips It doesnt hurt to share lol
Everytime I'm at Walmart I check I haven't had much luck but yeah it's the only way I could get cards now considering I'm on a tight budget with the pandemic!! I enjoy all the videos either way 👍
I try to go in the early afternoons, found a lot but been empty lately just gotta keep looking love the vids!
Never have luck with retail anymore... :(
My wife is now in the hunt when she takes the kiddo grocery shopping. No luck yet, but hopeful!
That’s a good wife 😊
True. It takes a little bit of luck as well! Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good
Just started trying to collect and didn’t know it was this way.
In Mishawaka Indiana the Meijers store is stocked by vendors out of Ohio. This time, he broght his Mom along to purchase the cards he was paid to stock. My friend saw her cell phone and it had her and her sons photo on the main screen. This happened today 1-22-2021.
Unbelievable!
Considering I only have 1 Walmart, my best trick is going on the day they stock and hope some cards are left
Used to find retail every other week but has dried up lately. We will see if maybe more luck w 2021 baseball products.
Go to customer service desk and ask if they have any sports cards.
They’re never friendly 😂
Loved the tips. I’m newer into collecting and I’ve been getting frustrated with how frequently I check my local Targets and Walmarts and find nothing. You’ve provided some wonderful suggestions and I can’t wait to try them out.
The problem here in NJ is there are people who are paying off the vendors for more product. They're ensuring that product doesn't hit the shelves and held in the back room of the store or the vendors are telling them their daily schedules. Sharing is caring and everyone should have an equal chance to get product but I've seen some disappointing greed from people and it's a shame that it's happening.
I know this is happening for sure in some areas. What a sucky situation!
Persistence. I work full time so I only have a few opportunities. I try to keep a good attitude and check wherever I can when I can. To this point, I've only found one cello of Illusions and some Rookies and Stars.
At least something to rip. Good luck on the continued hunt!
I try to go to our Walmart almost everyday after school and I remember what they had the day before
Haven’t had much luck since Coronavirus, but in past asking employees which day has been helpful

Networking is the biggest tip, sharing info definitely cuts down on striking out
You are the goat for this video. Been trying to find retail forever and can only get lucky at Biglots here and there. Great vid!!
Appreciate it!
Can wait till I can drive I won’t have any money from spending it all on retail packs with this tip I’ll find them everyday
Recently found a hidden box of Prizm Draft picks behind other Fortnite cards. 4 boxes hidden. Great video!!
While cleaning out a display in another department I came across an Optics basket ball mega box from last year some one hid and forgot about. I left if there and made sure to let one of my nice rippers know where it was. Needless to say he was happy paying $55 instead of $300 online.
Definitely had the best luck by talking to employees that work at the store near the card section.
Dude awesome video!!! Thanks....but I'm gonna need that blaster!!!! Hahaha
