The Fox Knives RYU is an outstanding medium sized fixed blade. Overall Length is 10.6" Blade Length is 5.25" Handle is 5.25" Weight is 7.9 oz Blade Steel is Niolox
ROC is Black ROC Knives who make tactical knives designed bij Ken Vehikite. The Ryu is a fantastic knife, love it so much I also bought the Damascus/Elphoryn high end version, real showpiece! Thx for the review, stay healty and happy trails, greetings from Belgium.
I've had a few Fox folders, But my only Italian Fixed Blades are from Lion steel! You can always tell it's from Italy with the crowned spine and beautiful machined scales. Thanks for sharing my friend
Yep..they do like rounded spines. It doesn't make for good scrping, but then, like I said..it's really not a bushcraft knife. A good sharp spine isn't always needed anyway. For me anyway.
I forgot to mention the chopping I did with it too. It isn't a chopper by any means, but that same hard dense wood, I chopped through about a 1 1/2" piece to make a walking stick. It took a bit..like I said, not a heavy chopper ny any means, but it did it none the less. After all that chopping and batonning and feather stick majing, the edge is still very sharp. I'm impressed with it.
Thank you very much! I like it far more than I thought I would just from looking at the pictures. It really is very comfortable, and the micarta is some of the best quality micarta I've ever seen.
Really good review. That looks like it would work well. This is the first I have heard of Nilox if it does what you say would like to see more others use it.

Good review! Most of all the other reviews they do not give the measurements but this channel did! I'm thinking about getting one but in black handles and black blade! I'm not sure though? This channel did a great job! Thanks man! Should I get the one in black?

Thanks, you too!
My favorite knife of all of them is a Fox. I've been eyeballing the 'Ryu' since it came out, but not seeing many reviews on it. Thanks, Timbo!
My pleasure!

It's a good knife regardless of the color. If you like it, then I'd say go for it!
Thanks for watching!
Love them sheaths with the adjustable bet loops I perfer scout carry I could see this riding under my belly
Yet another one that I was tempted by. The pricing at ~$155 seems quite reasonable.
Great looking knife , thanks for sharing , God bless ! #22aday

I bet it looks familiar huh? lol

You can use metal polish.😊
Excellent review and presented well of this great all-rounder from Fox the handle does look very comfortable
It really is! The micarta is very good quality, and the contouring adds grip. It isn't going to slip in your hand.
Thanks for watching brother!
I reakly like the look of this knife just has bada$$ all the way around.
I agree. That's kind of what drew me to it in the first place, and this Niolox steel has impressed me.
This is a classic Japanese Tanto style blade. Not Persian.
The review is great.
I have a question, the grinding is hollow or flat?
Thank for sharing.
It's a flat grind.
It's a flat grind. I know there's a reviewer that said it was a hollow grind, but it's a flat, saber grind.
Did you ever expose the tang?
no
