Great video I’m considering this synth I’ve had the first uno synth but compared to that this is a real powerhouse
I think this is good for me learning synthesis
And man that reverb is something else 👊🏻

The Uno Synth Pro sounds really good and is very powerful analog synth but since it came out the only drawback is the price, too much competition especially from Behringer.
By the way I got the original Uno Synth and Uno Drum and I like it lot, huge sound in such small package.
Another fantastic video by Daniel Fisher!

The only comparable synths Behringer makes are the PolyD and MonoPoly. This has vastly more features and sounds equally as good. Not really competition in the sense that people wouldn’t buy this instead. Not for me anyway. Also the build quality cannot be compared. This thing is a tank.

@@HotStrange Yes, it looks that is a well build synth, like the looks and the keybed is great quality.
I would like to have one in the future to complement my Uno Synth and Uno Drum, IK Multimedia have nice gear and software.

@@carlosserrano3985 I definitely recommend it. The keybed is really fantastic. I’m a fan of their software as well. Sampletron is amazing.

Thanks for another great video. I’m wondering if there’s any chance IK could add a poly chain feature to the UNO Synth Pro. It would be great to get two voices of true polyphony with these amazing synths…. ideally this could somehow be mixed with the current paraphony capability so paraphony would only kick in if more than two notes were held down. Does anyone know if poly-chained paraphonic synths are supported by any other manufacturers ?

Sounds great. I like the way you were also turning a few knobs, see what it can do. I'm actually tempted more by the desktop version due to lack of space, but I've heard a bit about the keys not playing notes, or not responding very well. What do you think about this? Thankyou..

Hi richard. I would say, if keyboard performance is a major part of your synth performance, go with the Keys. If you're more about parameter changes and slower performances or arpeggiations/sequences, go with the Desktop -_Daniel_

I have the keyed version but I did have the Uno Drum and it suffered from the same non-responsive touchpad issues. Ended up selling because of that. Also, the keyed version is smaller than it looks. I was worried about space also but it ended up being no problem.

Is there a firmware upgrade yet that has allowed to change the color of THOSE GREEN LIT BUTTONS?

I have recently been introduced to synth in my DAW. Is there advantages to the physical version against the emulated?

    • @jo_ey
      @jo_ey 2 роки тому +4

Learn synthesis inside your daw and then buy a hardware synth if you get the hang of it. So you know what kind of sounds you want. Check out synthorial its a tutorial course for subtractive synthesis. Good luck!

It’s really just a combo of preference and budget💵. People like myself prefer the hands on approach of owning a physical instrument. But either one can sound fantastic or sound meh. It is worth noting that the hands on workflow is so useful that companies sell hardware controllers to be able to control software synths in your DAW, so there’s always that approach as well

your CPU might end up getting crushed depending on your arrangements and workflow. outboard gear never stutters.

Yes, tons. But there are also advantages to soft synths. I use both and wouldn’t want to stick solely to either one.

Quick question please ... Regarding the custom presets, can I add and save any type of sound I want to the synths and then use them as "stand-alone" without being connected to the computer? For example, if I wanted to make a song like the Singing Dogs "Jingle Bells" (ua-cam.com/video/wdqupRP7UNk/v-deo.html), would that be possible using any type of sample I wanted? Thank you very much!!
