  • I'm creating an anvil stand using ironbark timber from my property. After marking and cutting the stump, I shape it in the workshop for a nice and square finish. Ironbark, is a dense hardwood known for its durability.
I discuss and challenge some common ideas around measuring the height, and whether an anvil should be mobile. I weld and bolt a 5mm metal band around the anvil stand which is useful for welding tool holders on the sides and back of the stand.
To level the stand on uneven ground, I install adjustable feet and fix it to the slab with dynabolts.
The process of using a solid hardwood block involves hard work, but the anvil stand is now a durable piece that will last for many decades. Thanks for watching and supporting my channel. Please subscribe for more content.

Very cool. While not everything needs to be made to exist forever, for some things like this beast of a block, it just makes sense 👍
