This is really cool and is working for me. However, I can not find a way to use full screen at all. Setting to 4k I can only Strech out the window so far, I want all the screen with no taskbar. I was hoping for the power of the PC for an great google/android experience better than what my TV can do, but have a window really sucks. Also, seems HDR and multichannel surrounds not supported in this, which is a shame. Anyway to get at least get real full screen working?

Can you pair this with a remote ? I have a G10 google remote which pairs with win 11 ok. Can't pair with Android Studio.

I didn't think I would need this but after watching the video I realized! I also use my PC on my TV, so it would be ideal to use Google TV as the interface.

Hi. How do I install HAXM? When I attempt to do this, it failed. It is a requirement in order to use Android systems Excellent video.
if anyone is trying it on AMD and are having trouble to start it go to bios settings and turn on virtualization, nice guide
idk if its just me but it runs quite poorly even switching settings and all, weird thing is videos play with some lag but youtube ADs play on higher definition without any issue o_o
just for info i have an AMD R5 2600 32gb ram 3200 and a GTX 1080, the virtual device has 10gb of storage and 4gb of ram
little update managed to imperformance by leaving graphics on automatic, but it would only on my main monitor, after that i decreased resolution to 720p and it runs fine you can even link it with your cellphone (with code TV) and send playlists to it, the only downside to it its the youtube ads

Wow! You mean you can get UA-cam on your computer now! And all it takes is about an hour of complicated set up!

Loved the video and it's definitely interesting, however, I fail to understand, why would anybody install Google or Android TV on a windows or even Mac for that matter. Is it because it gives you the ability to install and play Android games? Can someone please explain when this might be beneficial to someone? Thank You for the video!
In my case, I will try using this as a way to have Google TV on my TV from a windows PC (home theater PC). This way, I can use a game controller from my couch to have all the functions of Google TV - like controller-compatible streaming apps - while also having access to Steam Big Picture Mode for gaming. It's possible to do all this through Steam Big Picture Mode, sure, but I really like the Google TV interface as opposed to using my controller as a mouse + keyboard.

Followed your instructions but at 2:27 I need to click "Finish". That doesn't become active, even after "Accept" is finished. So I'm stuck here. (I didn't install on the C: drive.. Not enough space)
Took me 3 or 4 tries! I FINALLY had to UNINSTALL every thing, start from scratch, and go STEP by STEP like a kindergarten grandpa! 😜
If I could download the Alexa app , this would make my day. I recently found out that the PC Alexa app is no longer supported and most functions are no longer available . Functions such as adding skills, notification settings, as well as activating a new Echo Dot. Of course my tablet is too old as well , so I can't even use the mobile app .This app can be a life changer for me. Thanks for the great tutorial ! 👍

Is there a way to install Android TV alongside Win10 with legacy hardware? I've got an HP DC7900USD running a E5200 CPU, 4GB DDR2 ram and a Q45 IGP?
Sadly Disney+ won't show up on x86. Haven't tried arm emulation.

Personally, I would not instal an emulator on my main PC because have had a headaches trying to uninstall them in the past. But well explained Brian.

That's what Android studio is for I'll download it again and look more into how to utilize it for a similar instance it looks more ideal than virtual box and a better alternative for dual boot bravo😮🔥

I have one question please clear me, can we do manage this android TV app in way when every time I turned on PC this app auto start directly to google TV app and replace window logo. The reason why i am asking because I do not have smart led I want to connect my mini pc equipped with this google TV app every time i one pc its look like that its mart led. did you get my point. must reply i m waiting.

Electric Eel is not available and Flamingo seems a bit different and doesn't load things the same way. Any idea where I can get Electric Eel.

You can't install android on a Windows 11 PC as if you install android then it will not be a Windows 11 PC anymore, it will be android PC.

Had the same issue, found the solution was to also accept intel android licence as well.

I just discovered this feature a few weeks ago but still it is insane that you can emulate a Android phone, TV, watch, desktop and have completely different OS's in a virtual machine. Crazy how tech has progressed
Well, I am emulating Android devices on my PC for years now, and emulating other machines in general for decades, so I don't find it so crazy, how tech has progressed. ;)

okay so I got it to go full screen, but the search (magnifying glass) is greyed out so I can't search for any apps in the Play Store...
don't ask me how I figured this out, but I just pressed Shift F and it expanded the search so I can search now
