  • We joined Dan Grec at Overland Expo Pacific Northwest to discuss his decade-long Jeeping expedition around the world. Dan, the author of three books, has inspired millions and shares the lessons learned during his two-year trek through the Americas in a bare-bones two-door Wrangler, three years driving the full coastline of Africa in a four-door Wrangler JK, and his recent 40,000-mile crisscross of Australia in a Jeep Gladiator.
    In all, he has passed through nearly 60 countries, navigated dozens of third-world border crossings, and driven 130,000 miles behind the wheel of a seven slot grill. When ask how he did it he said, “I decided to quit my job, sell all my stuff, and go for it.”
    His next adventure will be in the northern latitudes, and is currently building a special Wrangler JL Rubicon for the occasion. Check the links below, buckle your seatbelt, and prepare for a wild ride around the planet with this luminary of the overland world.

    This was great overview of Dan’s travels.
    Been following Dan for years. A true inspiration, and a real flag bearer for Jeep.👍

    Dan said talk to your boss and arrange a couple of months off. I’m retired and would love to drive to Tuk on the Demster Hwy so I talked to my boss (my wife) and she said “NO” in pretty certain terms. I’ll try again some time and see what happens. I might have to drive myself and fly her up to meet me, where there is a will there is a way.

      So true, where there is a will there is a way. It was on my bucket list as well, and a few years back I borrowed a Rebel from Ram Trucks and did the 8k mile round trip in March (Ice Road was still frozen). Absolutely stunning landscapes. Stay the course my friend. Chris

      Slip of the lip, but definitely the sub continent and Asia

      @Gone_Gpn  Рік тому

      We need to add to this. We know and have worked with so many Russians, all great people who are appalled by what their government is doing but have little control over it.

      @@Gone_Gpn Thanks to the United States and the people of the United States for being on the side of good. You may be interested, we bought more than 30 Jeeps and they are now back at war, including the evacuation of the wounded
