Kindness is a human construct. Animals don't necessarily experience that the way we do, and it's for their own good they don't. Some "higher" animals are more likely to think like we do, especially primates.
@@ThefamousMrcroissant kindness is a human behavior, they may not experience it as we do exactly but they benefit from it. Because the opposite (human cruelty) turns them cruel and mean or a into a complete broken spirit, just as humans become.
Animals understand compassion, and do enjoy companionship. They're not stupid, and although they wouldn't do something good for the sake of being good, they would do something good in order to preserve the health and wellbeing of another living creature. Things like love, hatred, anger, jealousy, etc. are all experienced by animals.
@@monjiaitaly Perhaps, but that's not what you said though. You say "most of the time animals respond well to kindness" - which is questionable as animals do not necessarily interpret your good will as "kindness". Eg, if you provide a wild tiger and its cups with food for 6 years it will still eat you given the chance. And attempting to eat you isn't exactly "responding well" from a human perspective. It just sees your generosity as any arbitrary convenience and not as an act of kindness. This is a beneficial routine to them for if seeing kindness in things that aren't there(which practically never occurs between different species anyway) it might cause them to get hurt or even die. So "respond well to" is usually nothing more than being glad an advantage occurred for them. It is true they thrive off it as literally any animal would, but saying "animals enjoy things they enjoy" is a bit of a useless statement as it's by definition true, if that's what you meant.
the man definitely could have a career as a narrator that's for sure....I love how Brist word things The smell turns into a stench, kinda like turning on the amplifier at a disco lol

when I was about 14 a red fox mother was hit by a car and killed just in front of our house. The pup was maybe a month old and we found it laying against his dead mother on the side of the road. We took it in, loved it, named him Sox and it wasn't long before he got used to us and accepted us as family. Foxes are very hard to keep, this is not a dog nor do they act like dogs. They get into everything, and I mean everything. They are more cat like than dog in many ways but they are also very temperamental and when they want something simply saying "no" isn't really and option, they just do not get it, ever. We kept Sox for about a year before he just became to much for us to handle. Rather than drop him off somewhere knowing he had no clue how to survive on his own we found a Fox Breeder who took him in. He was well taken care of and with other red foxes. The guy would send us an update usually including pics of Sox 2 or 3 times a year assuring us he was doing well. He lived to be 9 years old which for a red fox is really old and we fell like he had a pretty good life.
This guy hit the jackpot. That fox is probably the tamest and most relaxed fox I've ever seen. And I watch a lot of videos and follow a ton of pages about rescue foxes. That fox has a gene(s) that make him behave a certain way and is calmer than most foxes from the wild. Not sure what his story is exactly but considering it's not a captive born/hand raised fox this is really special and unique.
Genes don't make animals behave friendly, this is laughable. This fox has an experience that makes him trust humans. Without that experience this fox would be afraid of humans like other wild animals.

lovely animals, a live fox stole is better than the other type
I think most of the time animals respond well to kindness, just like humans.
*PaRtIaL sEnTiEnCe*
They are social creatures and needs to be in the presence of other fox,and you who is probably his best friend!☺ thank you for loving him
Lovely old fox lovely old man lovely old house. Really really super thanks so much for posting . Love what you said about trust.
Came for the fox stayed for this man’s voice
Exactly my Thoughts^^
the man definitely could have a career as a narrator that's for sure....I love how Brist word things
The smell turns into a stench, kinda like turning on the amplifier at a disco lol
This gentleman is so lovely. Those who know him must be so lucky to have a companionships of such a gentle and kind soul. No wonder this fox warmed up to him. Thanks for the video!
Unless he's like me...only nice to animals
Imagine actually being an animal and you go through life wandering until you finally find this lovely man with his 8 room house with a sunroom for foxes, and you just go "Him. I'll take this sweet man." like fox, same.
aww
I love this story! The man described human/animal friendships perfectly. Now the two of them have a wonderful and fun friendship that they both enjoy.
I especially liked how they established trust. The fox understood that the man was displaying trust to the fox, so, the fox figured the man is also trustworthy.
They are great aren’t they.
@@Britclip - Thanks for your reply. You got me interested in finding out more by reading your description. I also noticed that there is at least one more video about this man and his fox (which I will definitely watch).
I’m getting old, so I respect this man for making a friendship that is good for both of them. The fox is clearly happy and comfortable, to the point that the fox rests on the man’s shoulders! The man clearly gave the fox a lot of love and attention for THAT to happen.
when you wanna put expensive fur around your neck without harming any animal!
Khalil Tech hear, hear! Besides, if people really want to wear fur, there's always faux-fur. It looks just as good and works just as well to keep warm in my opinion
Rick Schaefer I have faux fur but I also have old fur jackets passed in from my mom. They are extremely expensive and I’ve never worn them.
Well said Khalil Tech 😊👏
Ah this comment made me lol 😂

when I was about 14 a red fox mother was hit by a car and killed just in front of our house.
Thanks for sharing this heartwarming story.
What do you mean "had a good life" HAD? gosh darn did he die?
@@kroaktown He said he died at the age of 9.
@@kroaktown "He lived to be 9 years old"
What a wonderful comment. Very interesting! Thanks.
This guy hit the jackpot. That fox is probably the tamest and most relaxed fox I've ever seen. And I watch a lot of videos and follow a ton of pages about rescue foxes. That fox has a gene(s) that make him behave a certain way and is calmer than most foxes from the wild. Not sure what his story is exactly but considering it's not a captive born/hand raised fox this is really special and unique.
yeah most foxes I have seen are very hyper and frankly a pain
Genes don't make animals behave friendly, this is laughable. This fox has an experience that makes him trust humans. Without that experience this fox would be afraid of humans like other wild animals.
@@ekklesiast Gene can lower aggresiveness and in turn give a possibly more friendly animal, google the russian grey domesticated fox
@@ekklesiast It's nature AND nurture that determines personality
@@datonecommieirongear2020 There is no such a thing as domesticated fox. Russian guys are doing really good business based on decades of gathered data and practice to recognised the least aggresive pups from the litters and make them trust humans. The offal is terribly high, and of course the fur is still usable.
He’s super calm, just laying and walking, simply enjoying his human’s company♥️
"A bit like turning the amplifier on at a disco"...bless this caring soul.
My dog use to love going on my shoulders too. He would climb up there for comfort when he was scared. I miss that.
Thank you very much for the kindness and love that you give that furry little fellow. 🦊😀
Hope he is still alive and enjoying a healthy and happy life with his dad
he is lovely---and so are you, and your home!
That fox is spoiled and loved and he loves his life lol he’s never going back to the wild 😂
Agreed💯 He's enjoying Retirement 😁
the fox has got it made
The picture of the beautiful fox snuggling up in the human's lap could be the symbol for stopping the cruel practice of fox hunting.
I love this video, warms your heart, the love between this lovely man, and his domesticated fox.
Tame. Definitely NOT domesticated.
That fox is thinking, "man I landed a sweet gig."
🤔🤔
Lol. He really looks like it doesn't he?

He should do movie trailers. Dramas only.

I was thinking that as well. I was like, wow this guy's voice is really soothing and I love eloquently he speaks
He needs to do this
That's a fox collar I can get behind! What a lovely relationship with a gorgeous animal!
The ONLY way fox fur should be worn.
Totally agree. Id rather hear a happy heartbeat from a contented animal. The idea of killing just for fashion is an outdated notion.

I've heard from people with domesticated foxes that this is their preferred way to be carried. It's kinda wild. If you pick them up, they'll climb up on your shoulder and wrap themselves around your neck like that.
