Not being sarcastic. I am very proud of you for knowing how to explain things properly. It's so hard to find competent people anywhere on the internet. This generation is getting ridiculous with lack of intellect and common sense. You're better than you know
This video was very helpful with the steps he provided in the video but it was alot easier to remove the bumper support 6 bolts and it all swings out and you can get everything back together and push it back in
Great video. I used this to replace the radiator on my 2005 Equinox about a year ago. But now I have an issue with one of the fans. Is there any way to just replace the bad fan motor without taking out the radiator again? Thanks.
I have a 08 Equinox. My fans stop working sometimes. I'm about to order a new one from Amazon. The dealer will charge an arm and a leg for a job like this. If I don't try it myself, I hope to find a good mechanic. Thanks for this video!!
Why all that work? Fan comes out a lot easier, no need to disassemble entire car to replace the fan! Just remove the battery, and battery holder to reach right side bolt which holds the fan, disconnect the water hose from radiator, fan comes right out, I did that for less than one hour, and I am not professional.
Hey Andy! I have a 2006 Pontiac Torrent/Chevy Equinox that had overheating problems because there was no power at all going to the duel fans. I changed out the Fan circuit located behind the driver side headlight. Still no power. I jiggled the electrical connection at smaller of the duel fans and the one fan started to run only, if I held it in one position. So I changed out the connection and with the A/C turned on high, the one smaller fan kicked on only. Should the larger fan turn on as well or does it only run at higher extreme temperatures?? Thanks for your help!
Hey Andy, can you give me information about the part you remove at 3:13? I am looking for a replacement part for both the "radiator deflector' and "air tube" on an 07 Equinox, but cannot find the parts anywhere.
+Chelle McCaskill Thanks for checking us out! This part can also be called the radiator shroud. We do not carry this part at the moment and may be a dealer only item right now. You can also check with local part stores to see if they can get this or you can always go to a pick-a-part and salvage one there.
I got mine out via engine bay I came looking to see if I could sneak it past the upper rad hose (i took it off) holy crap this is way too large of a project
What if the one on the left turns on but sometimes stops working and then I have to lightly tap to get the fan to kick back on. The one on the right doesnt seem to be working at all but I also havent wiggled the connector. What do I replace the whole fan assembly or the connector?

One of the better repair videos. Concise, decent lighting, comprehensive...and no distracting background music. Thank you.

Hey on your chevy equinox the fan was so easy to do and i appreciate your time in helping me do this thank you, Rene
You can remove these from the engine bay without removing the front end. I have done it once and am currently doing it again.
Different vehicles not because the job was done bad lol.
Could you explain how ?

I thought my fan went bad but I wiggled the connections and they started right up

+Shpresa Culaj We appreciate the feedback. Sometimes there are multiple ways to accomplish the same repair.
Thanks! I was looking at the space and thought the same.

Both fans should come on
The plugs on these burn out. You should replace them both with AC DELCO PT2188.
@@MrWesleyhalfg Thank you. So you think just the plugs go, not the actual fans?

How often should my low speed cooling fans come on at idle? Temp is 70 degrees outside rn. Seems like they come on every 3-4 minutes is that normal?
Will this fan also compatible for 05 Chevy equinox ???
+prayforlevi This part is not correct for the '05 model. Thanks for checking us out! 1AAuto.com
You don't need to pull the chrome grill trim piece off I left mine on and it came right off along with the rest of the front end
I have removed the fans on my 2006 equinox without draining or removing the radiator.
If your arm fits behind the fans why not just pull it out through engine bay ?
I got mine out via engine bay I came looking to see if I could sneak it past the upper rad hose (i took it off) holy crap this is way too large of a project
They want to sell you extra tools🥵
I dont see u got it out thru engine bay.. Especially with the condenser because u gotta take off grill to take off condenser if im not mistaking

My problem as well. What did you end up doing?
@@KronicDaydreamZ what did u end up doing?
2006 ceve equinox the bottom of the fan has 2 cord one go to the fan and the other come off from the cord go to what
Yeaaah...definitely don't need to do all this. It comes out of the engine bay lol
I'd rather pay the piper
