Lol, next videos is gonna be a mummy Dino and a mummy shark
Yes mummys
This interaction here is like seeing 2 super gods saying hi to each other!
you do very nice. and delicate
With the t-rex's arms, there's a couple of theories. The thing to remember however it despite the fact they're small relative to the animal, they're still extremely large and very muscular. So the most common theories is that they're 1. used to aid in mating for some extra grip 2. they're used to grapple onto prey items to immobilise them while the teeth do the killing
Cool
Or they used tools. I reject your reality and insert my own.
These are actually correct
So my kangaroo theory never came up?
good thing i saw this before i started typing lol

I really want to see this but if he does decide to do this: good luck man
A diorama of that would be cool...
(IMO: That final fight was EXTREMELY lacking for me in BoTW and I'm never going to complete/finish it because of how lackluster it's compared to other LoZ final boss fights...)
@@Tazerboy_10 Thats A really good idea
Yes, please do this. If you don’t do this please keep it in mind for a future video if you are up to it.
The Tyrannosaurus' arms were speculated to be used to assist in mating, its supported by the fact specimens of the same lineage have very similar arm structures despite being 350 million years older, meaning if they really had no use, they would have been evolved off of the T rex by the time of the Cretaceous period.
So its not prehistoric gang signs...?
@@kingchronos793 I'm not sure about you, but gang signs are a huge part of my mating ritual.
@@fusionplays1244 as they should be
@@kingchronos793well, maybe the gang sings helped trexes with the mating, the swagger the better
That doesn't suggest it was used in mating specifically. That merely shows that there was probably a benefit to having those arms.
There’s so much energy behind all of your pieces it looks like u took it out of a movie

If you're interested in taking another look at someone else's take on a Zombie T-rex, in the Dungeons and Dragon's book "Tomb of Annihilation" there was a monster called "zombie t-rex." That one has an interesting take because the zombie t-rex can vomit up normal zombies. Either way, super cool zombie t-rex you made.
I battled one of those in a home brew campaign. Tuff monster! I picked up an official figure from Amazon not long ago and I still need to build it.
I was just thinking about this
Oh you mean the "strange videogame boss zombie T-rex?"
Not related but… you have an A+ pfp
Heylookitstheguyfromtransformersprime
I’m pretty sure the arms are there to help it get up and with mating
reading that response quickly gives a different meaning to the first reasons for the arms.
@@NorthoftheBorder so happy I am not the only twisted mind😂, but a wonderful addition to the zombie world!
I looked it I up and one other thing is holding struggling prey
@@dogedoge8269 nice name
@@distinguishedcatfish7154 thank you
"Adorable little vertebrae" sums up this epic zombie t-rex quite nicely, I think. Expertly crafted and love the commentary as always. 👏👏
T-rex arms are vestigial, or a 'left over' from its ancestors that hasn't fully evolved out of their design. Like whales having a useless pelvis bone structure.
Isnt that like how people have tailbones
Thank you, Rainwater and Max
@Max Bubb Whales need their hips for dancing.
Actually, in recent years most researchers have come to the conclusion that they were not vestigial. Even though they look small, their arms were as large or larger than a human's arms.
@@xxKrazyKxx Wouldn't the arms being human sized be normal because T-Rex's are just that big compared to us? So their arms would be tiny relative to the rest of their body but normal relative to humans?
I'm sure your T-Rex would kill mine with one bite.
I dunno, I get the feeling mine already lost one or two fights at this point.
👑👑👑😮😮😮😮👍👍😮😮
Mine would die with one slap with his tiny arms so beat that
FIRST
The T-rex arms are for crawling at extremely hight speed!
Godzilla? Is that you?
Lmao
The T rex was the first video of him I found, and I was sure it was a bought ejection mold toy or something but nope.....he made it himself to 100%.
Same
Wow
Love it.
If ever revisited could you go with feathers aswell ? The zombie style would of been good as the assumption of most of the feathers falling out would of made it simpler.
he ruined it with the green.
adult T rex most likely had tiny little feathers on the top of its back that looks like arm hair
@@bababa3917 the green made it look really cool. Not every T. rex have to be brown like JP
@@ObsidianArrowYT blak ?
red? etc
That Clay stamp was genius!
Also you should consider doing a build from Apex legends, possibly a desert-y wasteland area from King’s Canyon, or some dystopian city ruins from World’s Edge
You should try to make a Devine Beast!
Reminds me of "The plague of madness" from Primal
Thought the same. That episode stressed/grossed me out. In a good way.
@@danime35 thats a good way to cause fear, instead of just jumpscares like every single movie does. No communication, no scream with a 1 frame image, no extremely loud music, just a fight that you can feel the fear of both characters, from the beginning to the end. Masterpiece.
Someone may have mentioned this, but there is a zombie T-rex in a book in the modern fantasy novel series "The Dresden Files" by Jim Butcher. I don't want to give any spoilers for anyone who is interested to read the series, but this is almost exactly the way I pictured the zombie dino in my mind! It's awesome! Keep up the excellent work, you really come up with some great ideas. 😁🤩☺️
If I recall correctly, the zombie rex was actually supposed to look pretty much entirely whole. Maybe nearer the end, when she had taken some damage, more like what the good gent did.
But yee, I literally did a ctrl-f for "Dresden" because someone HAD to bring it up!
Sue the Tyrannosaurus Rex, The dresden files is my favorite series. and just like Joshua I crt-f for dresden. 😁
Oops I made a similar post before I saw this one 😀
This looks like it's gonna be good. Excited about this one. Yea Jack Jack's T-Rex coming out of the portal is soo damn cool. I really enjoy your comedy.
Our DM made a zombie dinosaur for our d&d party to fight!! This thing looks gnarly as hell, wouldn’t want to come across it on an adventure 😂
Awesome work Adam! I personally find the shape of the the T-Rex itself so satisfying, it's bulky head with it's sturdy legs everything is right! You made me think about the 90's Jurassic park dino toys. Hats of to you good sir!
The little arms were probably used to stabilize the female mate while mating, but other than that super cool rex
dont trust google, they were used to hold prey while biting the prey, but sadly they didnt fully evolve for modern day t-rex.

@@SkippyDa sorry i canceled it now
Damn, that Thing Would definitely fit well into my Nurgle army.
The T-rex only had arms because it hadn't evolved them away, so they served no purpose.
not true, they were supose to have purpose
according to google the T- Rex used their tiny arms to slash prey.
All the little guys that get under them?
This made me want to see you make something out of Horizon Zero Dawn...
his second video was a Horizon Zero Dawn diorama :D ua-cam.com/video/iTvDohdUsJ8/v-deo.html but definitely agree i'd love to see more of it
Trex arms are leftovers from their evolution, but they probably played the purpose of holding onto their partner while mating.
Also fun fact: its speculated that they could curl a tonne, so those arms arent super useless
Don’t worry Adam! You have the Midas touch too! For tiny, nerdy things!!!
If you like zombies, you can also try the redeads from Zelda, or the undead army from the Lord of the Rings!!!
i don't get this, you make so many AMAZING sculptures and get so little views, why? UA-cam should recomend more of your videos to new viewers because this is a gold mine, i learned so much with this video and i can't thank you enough dude, you are an amazing artist that needs more recognition. I think youtube finally listened
T. rex had arms for the same reason we have “tails”. T.rex’s ancestors would have used their arms and it’s likely that young tyrannosaurs would have gotten more use out of them than fully grown ones.
trex ancestors used the arms to grab prey whilst biting, but back then they didnt evolve so then they didnt have purpose. trust me im a nerd
I'm scared at the thought of an untiring T-Rex with absolutely no reason to stop its bloodlust...
Amazing job as always, Adam!
the skeleton of emu's wings look simular to t-rex arms. Thus the t-rex could actually have had tiny wings.
If T-rex was alive today. That would've been the biggest chickenwing ever
Pretty big chicken tendies too
loooovveee dinosaurs!! I made a Godzilla off of your videos on how

WOW bud, this has to be my favorite so far. The way you did the rotting flesh was PERFECT. The back left chunk missing, the tail, ribs, everything was spot on. Well done my friend. Now you gotta do a Triceratops and Brontosaurus. Lol The Geriatric brontosaurus lmao
Glad you liked it I was really pleased with how it all came together
The fact that he kept calling Big Momma a boy had me dying. If we all remember, Dr. Wu very clearly states that every dinosaur in Jurassic Park and World are female to keep breeding impossible. The T-Rex was no different, which is why she was always called “Big Momma”.
“Once I’ve gotten that thicc body we all yearn for…”
Not only is this guy skilled with clay and paint, he can also serve up some quality banter
Great sculpt! Looking forward to what you come up with next.
Holy cow, just from the opening shot I knew this would be good, as always!
Also, dragon roost island from the wind waker would be a good video *wink* *wink*

It looks like someone took a beloved video game character and just wrecked em with incredible gore details. I love it
this one video has made me draw every animal i can zombified
I absolutely adore the sculpt! I think I'd have preferred the paint job to be a lot more muted. When things die, their blood gets much darker and less muted because there's no more oxygen exchange going on. So, the flesh becomes pale pink/white and the blood gets super dark. It's freaking awesome though!

oh man i am so inspired by these videos; you've made me get back into sculpting again for the first time in like 8 years
That's the goal! What are you making? Or do you lean more towards the, 'start a dozen projects and don't finish any' crowd?
@@NorthoftheBorder HA! definitely that second one. i've sculpted some simple figures and i'm gonna make custom molds! i've never done resin stuff for the first time ever so i'm mostly tooling around, basically playing "will it resin" with random bits and bobs.
Your good at making zombies and other things that relate to the undead.
“Uh…. ✨leg hands✨”- the greatest quote ever
Cannot say I'm not overtly jealous of your abilities to sculpt something so, well, awesome! Great build and great video. You're shaping up to be one of my top crafters that I regularly watch and anticipate the works of! Keep it up, please!
T rex arms: nobody knows exactly why they are so small, but paleontologists think it was for geting up or hold the partner while mating. Maybe both
its known, xd dont trust google, im a big dino nerd and paleontologists know that the t-rex ancestors used them to hold prey whilst biting them. but they didnt fully evolve to have the same purpose for other t-rex.
It’s funny how this is basically the most realistic way for the dinos to come back.
Neato Burrito! Also, as scary as it would be, we clearly need a Jurassic Zombie movie. Zombie raptors!
How are you not more popular? Great editing and great content! You should be at 1 million already! You've earned a sub
Welcome aboard! And thank you! It's a slow climb out of obscurity, but I'm pretty chuffed with any degree of youtube recognition
Adam, you never fail to impress me. This is absolutely amazing!!
Who else’s loves that old sound from pvz “ ZOMBIES ARE COMING” I miss that old sound
The arms were used to scratch and and get a spa treatment because back then dinosaurs had nail salons apparently
I haven’t even watched the video yet but this looks amazing!
I absolutely love all of your videos! They look so cool and make clay sculpting look really cool! I think I might start soon. Keep up the amazing work!
This is too frightening to fathom while still being incredible enough to appreciate
When I first saw this video I was hoping it was a Dresden Files inspired sculpture.
If you don't know he rides a zombie Sue the T-Rex in a book.
Nice one man. You never cease to impress. This reminds me of the zombie t rex in that one DND campaign on the evil tropical island
What we need for a game, people want Dinosaurs to be cool, well this needs to be a thing
That is disgustingly cool
The little trex arms are an evolutionary trait that they didn't fully lose from their lizard ancestors..I think
Adam: Why do T'Rex's have arms?
Me: Immediately goes straight to the comments. Is not disappointed with discussion.
Oh dood dood dood.
They came out absolutely gorgeous. Dead rotting flesh and all. Those guts and intestines playing peekaboo? Just *mwah* beautiful
I am an archaeology student! The T-Rex small arms are mainly vestigial, meaning they have no purpose but are still present in the body(like the human appendix). Another hypothesis that they are there to hold down large prey when eating. Another is for males to hold onto females during mating.
So... not for super close up high fives and cuddling? Ignorance is bliss, I suppose
Well some people think that those tiny things weren't arms, but WINGS! That part looks a lot like the bone structure of an ostrich wing. So the T-Rex is basicly a DRAGON 😱
Make a bunch of more zombie dinosaur sculptures that’s a really good one

baking a texture mold was such a cool idea, and amazing work as always

I watched this and immediately bought a kit of oven-bake clay with 50 different colors and a starter kit of tools.
Those damn Jurassic mosquitoes really did a number on this guy...
A fantastic addition to the 'zombie animal' theme.
In another video you said that you liked making landscapes. I am a big fan of studio ghibli movies and I love your totoro and calcifer dioramas. How about princess mononoke for the next project? There are a lot of landscapes to choose from and some gross/fun stuff to sculpt like the headless god of the woods or just the severed head in the kettle (ohh, what's in the box?!). Or the demon boar that looks like it's made out of worms. That would be so great! BTW the moderation of your videos is just as entertaining as the working process is satisfying to watch. I love your humor.
If i didn't know it was a Z Rex i'd swear the green hues made it look like a zombified Deviljho from Monster Hunter
I'm no paleontologist, I read and studied Dinosaurs in picture books and the reason why the t-Rex's arms are there even though they are small, is to help them push off the ground after a nap or something 👌
The T. Rex🦖 looks cool
We don't like nerds but this is the coolest nerd we've ever seen
If you haven’t seem a zombie t-rex before this point you haven’t been looking in the right places! Remember there being one in Ben 10 while theres a whole series of zombie dinosaurs on youtube hmmmm…they showed up in some sort of mmo too all the same you’re craft is amazing!!!
