Great detail. I have my KL25Z working in 10.7 and 10.8 but this will help me get it dialed in for tilt. Definitely a must have for virtual pinball. Any help with the newer Pinball FX would be great. I got it to work following some FX3 guides but it is too jittery to use.
@timtucker4413 nah sadly fx doesn't have the accelerometer option. I made a video a while back with x360ce but fx reads it as a 0-100% and not actual nudge values :/
So I need an accelerometer for nudge? 😂. Seriously though, great tutorial, not sure I've seen a nudge tutorial this detailed. Personal Nudge Settings are definitely a hot topic when playing in competitions. Not all nudge, physical or button press are equal. Thanks for vid.
hey vic, i have a plunger , i set it up through pinscape etc. I calibrate it in pinscape, but so far today, as awesome as my machine is , with every toy, i cannot use my plunger. in future pinball , it doesn't work at all, in vpx i can pull the plunger all the way back and it barely hits the ball, so it doesn't hit theh ball hard enough. my nudge works fine. i think obviously its the settings in vpx, vpx 64, and future pinball settings i have to do . Some of the greats have tried and failed. Im using a kl25z, its hard wired into it, i have the full cleveland software setup. mine has the acceleromiter, and the kl25z board is soddered to a main board. both ports are facing you at the front of the pinball machine which i have set in pinscape. so i dont know how to get it to work. im gonna do everything with your settings and see . my kl25z board is located at the very front of my machine like a foot back inside of the coin door. future pinball, is even worse. on the starwars dsa table only, the ball can sit on the right flipper and it will roll upward and get stuck away from the flipper on the other side of the right bumper. lol. ill try again., but its been two years since i built it so i basically gave up and just use my fire button to launch the ball. for your two magna buttons, inside pinscape you have them set to your two alt buttons right? it only does that on the one future pinball table, but the plunger doesn't work at all, it does pull back , but like i said it does fire the ball up hte ramp. I didn't see what buttons you were using in the tile table.
I don't play future pinball so I didn't bother setting up nudge and all that. Did u recalibrate your plunger in pinscape? Maybe your pot moved or something and it is no longer crossing the threshold... there's usually a visible line in pinscape calibration that shows where the end of the pot ends up
@Vic_VP I tried all your settings , nothing worked. I launched pinscape and I have to use the potentiometer I think, I don't remember the name, it's where you calibrate the plunger in pinscape you see the green line when calibrating and when I pull it back all the it barely moves at all. So when I exit out and go to play vpx when I pull back the plunger it barely moves at all. I don't know what setting to set to make it so it changes I guess the sensitivity maybe? So when I pull back I shouldn't have to even pull it back all the way. Right now even if I pull it back fully it barely moves and can't launch the ball..
@JerseyJohnnysElectronicsGaming then there's an issue with your actual potentiometer You said your pinscape software the line is barely moving... so there's either a loose wire or your pot is broken. If your doing the calibration and the lines not moving at all or just a hair.. then it's a physical issue and not a software issue... unless you changed the plunger settings under general settings
What about if you have a real tilt Bob? Are those settings turned off or are they rerouted a different way to use the real tiltbob I have a pre-built but I've been trying to learn under the hood now and expanding my knowledge of how it all works
@MichaelSygo1 tilt Bob is like a micro switch... simple on and off I believe there's a setting somewhere / check box to active real tilt Bob. I don't put real tilt bobs so I can't totally answer your question but if I did. It would simply be wired up as an regular micro switch
@@Vic_VP yes I do have a switch I'm going to have to test it I guess to see if the accelerometer takes over if the tilt Bob is off All the options are overwhelming, and I'm not the type of person that believes it comes set up completely correct till I check it out lol So far I was able to get my ssf to work much better by turning up the dB level in Realtec audio and also adjusting the global, pinuppopper, and table overall settings so I don't have to keep changing volume on everytable I open Now every thing seems equal volume wise and if I want louder I can just use the globel knob
Hey Vic, awesome tutorial for this! So I got tilt working on vpx 10.74... but it is not working on 10.8, any idea what might be going on? I have the same settings for both versions and it is working perfectly on 10.74. But in 10.8, even when in the nudge & tilt table test, the left blue tilt indicator ball doesn't move at all. Not sure if this would affect it at all... but I recently followed Rudy's POV tutorial for the new 10.8 POV settings....
@@Vic_VP yeah, I went through the same process for both versions. The tilt isn't registering at all in 10.8, just the nudge. I also asked Rudy in the comments of one of his recent videos and the issue might be linked to the new 10.8 POV settings. He said there might be something additional that needs to be done. I brought that up because that's the biggest difference I can think of between the 2 versions. If you didn't set up the new POV settings in 10.8, it might not affect tilt... but I haven't tested that yet.
@@Vic_VP yes, I was thorough with it and spent a few hours messing with it. If you haven't set up the new POV in 10.8 and the tilt is working for you, then that tells me that the issue is most likely linked to that. Rudy's reply also seems like it is the new POV stuff. He also said he doesn't mess with tilt so he hasn't noticed. I would be interested to see if you add some POV values in 10.8, if you get the same issue. Thanks for the response!
It seems to me like the ball goes the opposite that it should, I just git my machine and this is the 1st thing I've noticed it bothers me on a real machine if I push the machine to the right the ball should go to the left like the machine is moving moving under the ball how do you fix this is it a known problem ... Because it seems to be backwards on my vitual cab
@MichaelSygo1 I dunno what that means lol Sounds like u got a pre built. U may need to open it up and dive into the software and hardware Contact the seller and hopefully they can help
@@Vic_VP after more testing it's not the ball going the wrong way it goes in the right direction when nudged, But seems to have a follow up movment after the nudge that sends it back in the opposite direction
@DDB_Pincab yea it's a good option especially if u have a coin door to access it.. I don't have a coin door and I'm perfectly fine with my virtual tilt bob
Helpful vid thanks
